As soon as Eli left, she ran. She ran fast and hard and just pain away. She couldn't be there anymore, just not right now. She fled with her heart heavy, never in her life had she had to make such a decision. She stopped on the edge of the border, not reaizing she was so close to Ronoh pack territory. She lay down, quite and alone.

Atra raised a single howl, one of lonliness and longing. She wanted someone, just not Eli or Shinraisei, so help her.

Rai stopped suddenly, and tilted his ears to the howl of anguish, and the howl of a challenge. He knew the challenge was from that other wolf...what was his name? The big, metal one. Eli. That was it. The challenge was from Eli, but the anguish was from Atra. He could tell it was something deep: only torn souls made that howl. Shinraisei took a step in the female's direction, wanting so much to help her, but not wanting to hurt her anymore than he already had. His head drooped and his mane draped over the ground. He loved Atra, but also wanted her to be happy. Rai's ears flicked and he gracefully rose on his hind paws, angel-soft wings flared to keep balance with neck stretched toward the heavens. He opened his mouth and a silent howl echoed through his maw towards the sky. With that howl went a promise. Heart breaking, Rai vowed that he would stay away from Atra and let her be with Eli.

As soon as his paws touched the ground as he fell back to earth, he felt a sudden weakness. His heart had fueled him, but it seemed that it had been stapled to his promise and dragged out of him. His stomach roared at him and Rai suddenly became aware of his emense hunger. He hadn't eaten in a long time. He swallowed, throat dry.

The small snowy owl tilted his head, then swooped down on his neck brace, clasping it to his neck and lacing it up again. Without a sound, he drifted into the sky on ghostly wings.

Rai's neck twisted along with his helper. His maw gave the slightest twitch upward. The white wolf slowly made his way over to a strong tree and curled along the base of it. Three fluffy snow white wings wrapped around their master, keeping him warm.

Zorr

Zorr turned his gaze back to Maybelle's. For the first time, he had noticed the unique patterned of her irises. He gave a small tilt of his head before giving a gentle motion to with his muzzle to point at her face. "Is that genetics or just some unique marking?" He asked, before realizing that she wouldn't know what he was talking about. Zorr added, "Your eyes, I mean." He said, quickly. He shook his head and allowed his red ears to tilt up to Atra's howl, he knew that he should check up on her. Although, he didn't want to leave Maybelle out and figured the white wolf would help her since they were both together. It wasn't a distressed howl, just one of confused emotion.

Zorr turned his attention back to the shapeshifter as he heard her sigh, his eyes flickered with a softer look. He stole a quick glance, seeing most of the wolves still bonding with each other near the rock. His eyes shifted back to Maybelle, "I'm sure they are just thrilled to have a ranking in this pack, shows that they are truly accepted in their new home. I'm sure it'll calm down soon and, then, I shall be busy once more tending to the pack." He said, giving off a dry chuckle. His fur gave off a brilliant glow from the sun, almost as if his fur was about to combust. "It's good to relax once in a while, no? Especially on a day as fine as this." He said in a good-mused tone.

As something dropped onto the ground in front of him, Rai raised his head and sniffed what had fallen. It was a good-sized mouse, already dead. He felt Toshiro leave just as the owl winged back. He sent a silent thanks to his helper. Mouthing the mouse, he quickly gulped it down, feeling food enter his empty belly. It was a good feeling, but he was still a little hungry. Shinraisei could only hope that a hunt was near, and he would fast until the Alpha gave him lead to do so.

Atra sighed, and a single blood-colored tear fell from her eye. She stood, angry now. Who was this wolf to make her cry? Had she really become this weak? She howled again, this time with a specific goal: Banshee. Her howl was lonely and powerful, calling to her lost friend. It was a howl meant only for a dark wolf's ears; no other wolf would be able to hear it, and that was just what she wanted. She waited, patient and hopeful, for a reply.

Atra's ears moved to the sound of her friend's howl. Banshee, she thought with a small smile. She waited, perfectly still and content. Her wings folded around her making her completely invisible and her eyes flashed red in anticipation.

Atra's darkness flared and she shooed some of her shadows away so she would be a bit visible. "Banshee," she whispered lightly, going over to her old friend. Licking him lightly on the cheek, she scented another female. She gave him a questioning look but said nothing.

"I smell her," she said with a dry chuckle, not revealing her true jealously at this. She sighed and thought of Eli once more. "Not as well as i would like, im afraid. You know Eli? Well he just asked me to be his mate. And i dont know what to do. This has never been a problem for me. Males have never liked me before so i am deeply troubled. " She said, sinking to the groud.

Her eyes shimmered red and then faded to black, showing her change from anger to sadness. She didn't want to talk about this, she didnt want to see Eli, but she knew she would have to. He would want an answer and she would not be able to come up with one on her own. Atra laid down, wallowing in her sorrows.

Maybelle went crosseyes for a moment, as if trying to look at her eyes. She realized how ridiculous it was, however, and cleared her throat, giving him a sheepish smile of apology. "No one knows if it's a discoloration of the iris, or a mutation of the pupil, but all the members of mah family have them. Ah do know it's genetic though, because everytime an outsider mates with a Rauxauld, the pups typically have the mark. It's a rather dominant gene, though we aren't sure how it formed... some mutation far back in out ancestry." she said. She was just happy that the mutation had no negative side effects. Their vision wasn't any better or worse, their eyes just looked weird. Maybelle was happy he wasn't freaked out by them, though. Many wolves found them a bit menacing.

Her ears twitched as several howls went off, and she smirked at the words that followed. "Yeah, they sound real happy." she agreed, light touches of sarcasm kissing her words. "A day in the life of an Alpha is never over, ey? Ah wouldn't know much about high ranks. Where Ah come from the heirarchy was very complicated... we had tons of ranks, but Ah never reached the really high ones." she mused. Not that she had been an adult long enough to try, but still.

"It is... the heat is very homely. Ah hate being cold." she agreed, then. His brilliantly colored fur was almost glowing in the sunlight, as if he were set on fire, or about to be. It was rather captivating, and May had to work to pull her eyes away, focusing in on the sky once more.

Zorr

Zorr cracked a small grin at Maybelle trying to look at her eyes. He nodded his head gently, letting his ears perk up to listen intently. "You must have a large extended family, I take it." He added in, before letting his thoughts drift off to imagen the size of the family where soon that iris would remain steady to produce a common mutation. The pin-wheels were definatly a nice touch to the normal eye.

He allowed his head to give a short bob, listening to more howls before they went quiet. "Oh, I agree." Zorr commented to her sarcasm, shifting his weight to his other paws. He gave off a short chuckle, "Ah, yes. As much as I'd love to take a day off of my rank. It is impossible, but I gave up that right when I chose to be Alpha of Sera." He said in a surprisingly casual voice. There was no regret tinting in his voice. His eyes shifted to the squint at the sun, he would add more ranks once his pack grew in size. Right now, there was no need for a beta, head warrior and hunter. Although, he did desperatly need a healer, since Zorr did not know much in that category.

Zorr's pupils grazed across the horizon to look at Maybelle out the corner of his eye. "Yes, the coldness is a bane to me. Slows me down as my energy is trying to keep my body warm, makes me quite sleepy." He said. Out of the corner of his eye, he looked Maybelle up and down with a fondness before scolding himself mentally. He looked back to the sky, it was just his ancient instincts acting up at this time of mating season.

His tail flickered against Thor's feathered body, indicating for him to scout around to make sure that the borders were alright. Thor gave him an long glare before beating his wings into the sky to take off. He would make it quick and hunt something along the way.

Banshee was on edge in this territory. He ducked under some trees his shadows covering him and making him impossible to see or smell. He motioned for Atra to be quit for a moment and listened. He felt someone or thing was coming.

He wanted to find Atra and apologize. He smelt her in a little clearing and began towrds her:..and Banshee.

Zorr: Thor

Thor flew above the tree tops, before swooping down into the shadows of the forest. He flapped around, letting his sharp, eagle eyes glance back and forth along the border. There was no sign of wolves from Ronoh or rouges. He slowed down his wings seeing red mesh with shadows. He flew down to find it was Atra, he dipped his head to the wolf as she was barely on the border. "What brings you here? Spotted any intruders?" He asked the warrior, wondering if she was doing a border patrol herself. There was an eerie coldness around them and Thor glanced around suspiciouly, only to find nothing but more shadows.

Spotting a small mouse up ahead, he silently rose and flung himself onto of the mouse. Killing it, he picked it up and dropped it before Atra. Thor flew back to the ground, picked up the dead rodent and started to peck at it waiting for her response.

Atra smiled pleasantly at the helper. "Just taking some time off from the others i guess. I assumed i might as well check the borders in my free time," she said. She watched the bird eat and tilted her head.

"Whats Zorr up to?" she wondered, making civil and quick conversation. Atra was an amazing liar, and now she was proving her skill. Her look would not be detected by any wolf as false, and her eyes made you believe her. Atra grinned.

Maybelle nodded, smiling a bit. "Where Ah come from, there's two great families. The Rauxaulds and the Wyrzyks. Unlike here we don't fight each other, simply co exist. The only drama we've ever had is when mah uncle went out and got one of the Wyrzyks pregnant. She bore a single pup, and with that we doubled in size. She's pretty interestin', really. Looks just like a Wyrzyk 'cept for her eyes. Things might've changed by now, though. Who knows if there's more like her..." she trailed off, thinking about it for a moment. "But Ah could sit here and tell ya history all day and it don't mean much." she said with a sheepish laugh, hoping she hadn't annoyed him with her tangent.

"At least you don't regret it. There's no ruler worse than one who doesn't want to rule," she commented, her tail moving back and forth in a wide sweep from one side of her body to another. "'Cause then he doesn't take care of his pack like he should, and the heirarchy is unstable. That's no way to live." she added idly, smiling at him.

At his comment, she laughed, rolling over onto her back and scratching it against the grass. "Kind of the same with me. Ah've always had a naturally higher body temperature, especially when Ah sleep. If Ah'm cold, mah first instinct is to take a nap so when Ah wake up Ah'm warm." she mused, rolling back onto her belly, back in her previous position. She seemed to have completely missed the look he had given her, instead peering down at her Helper as the lizard stood up. She tilted her head to the side, and the chameleon shrugged, before crawling off down the hill, probably going to hunt for some lunch or something like that.

Shinraisei lifted his head up as his helper silently glided through the sky toward him. The exaughsted owl dropped the rodent he was carrying at his wolf's feet and crash-landed near the base of the tree. The snowy owl gasped for air before he turned himself over and hopped to Rai. The white wolf smiled, opened his mouth, and took Toshiro's head. With a smooth swing, he had brought the owl to his side and covered him with a fluffy wing. Shinraisei nosed the mouse towards the tired owl, which he ripped into gratefully. The wolf gave a nod and lay his head back down upon his paws.

Zorr

Zorr nodded his head, listening intenly to the breif history of Maybelle's family. He shook his fur in a slight manner before speaking, "Ah, yes. Sounds like you have quite the history, seems like one to be proud of." He said, thinking back to his own history. It wasn't too proud, but it shaped it who he was today and wouldn't trade it for another. He paused and cracked a side grin, "I would love to hear of a more indept story about the history, if you don't mind. But, we'll save that for another day." He said, knowing that they would most likely get interrupted by something and he didn't want to leave it as a clifthanger.

Zorr's ears gave a single flicker as he turned to look out over the hill. "Yes, a ruler that has no want to rule will cause the pack to appear weak and chooses to rule only to the bare minimum." He explained, knowing that Maybelle already knew this. "I wonder if most surrounding packs live like that? I've been getting quite a bit of loners or wolves that don't do too well with authority and respecting them." He added on, voicing what occured when his pack was small, with only a few members as residents. They all had went to Zane's pack...maybe that just proves that Zane wasn't the strongest alpha and was weak enough for lower ranks to talk back in such a way to get their way.

Zorr gave off a soft chuckle, "Well, you have an advantage. Couldn't you thicken your fur or change it to one that can survive in the coldest of lands?" He asked, keeping his proud sitting position as she rolled back to lay down. "Naps can be quite hard when snow comes, makes the air and everything around it extremely chilly." He added on, almost as if snow had fallen and touched him. He gave a violent shudder, but gave a shy smile and cleared his throat to seem as if nothing had happened.

Thor nodded his head, it was good that a warrior was already doing it's duties rather than chit-chatting till the late hours near the rock. He lifted his head up, rubbing his beak against one of his talons in an effort to clean it. "Zorr? Oh, he's on the hill having a nice, long convesation with that shapeshifter...Maybelle, I believe?" He said in a calm manner. His eyes glanced once more into the shadows to find nothing before looking back at Atra. A suspicious look crossed his eyes as he smelt that darkness wolf, Banshee, scent mingled on Atra's fur. He said nothing but thought about if he should bring it up to Zorr. "Why, would you like me to fetch Zorr for you? It would be no hassle." He said casually, giving nothing away of his knowledge of her hanging around Banshee.

"No it's quite alright. I was just wondering if he needed me, but no matter i will tell him the news later," She smiled as the perfect lie crept into her head. "Actually could you deliver the message for me? I spotted Banshee on the border and chased him off. A bit of a fight, as you can see," She added, pointing to a trickle of blood on her shoulder. She had gotten the cut earlier from a pointy branch, but Thor didn't know that. It would also cover for Banshee's scent that was most likely on her.

"I hope Zorr is happy with me," she said almost sadly. "It was very hard for me to do that, i just couldn't bring myself to kill him though," she confided in the eagle. Her eyes showed true pain, and her feelings were true.

The snowy wolf's stomach gurgled at him again, and he knew if he waited for the hunt to be established, he might not have any energy to chase a cow or bull. Rai heaved himself up on his feet and folded his wings tightly against his hunger-worn body. he paused long enough for his helper to get on his back, then padded quickly to the scent of the Alpha. As Shinraisei neered the hill on which Zorr was sitting, he stopped. The great fire wolf was chatting with Maybell the shapeshifter. His hunger was less important than the walk, so Rai retreated backwards down the hill. He sat at the base, looking and acting much like a gaurdian statue.

Maybelle smiled as he told her that he would like to hear more about her family. Family had always meant a lot to Maybelle, and she found her history very interesting. It was nice to see that someone felt the same. "A'course, Ah'd be happy to." she said nodding her head to him. Her tail continued to sway back and forth in the wide 3/4 circles, and her ears were at an easy, relaxed position. The conversation was nice, especially after how they had first met.

"Well, Ah've done quite a bit of travelling, and from what Ah've seen, there's always a main pack or two in a forest, and then maybe a couple o' smaller ones. Maybe those small bands of wolves don't do well with the heirarchy cuz they've never really had one. If it's just you, yer leader, and a couple of others, there's a sense of loyalty there. Possibly deeper than any large pack, because you all know each other. So then if you get split up and have to join another pack... well, you still have those old loyalty bonds, or you don't know how to cope with all the ranks." she mused thoughtfully, her gaze up on the sky as she said this in a wondering sort of a tone. After a moment she gave a sheepish laugh, shrugging. "But that's just a guess, it doesn't fit everyone." May added in, hoping that her little shpiel hadn't sounded too ridiculous.

"Yeah, Ah do that if Ah need to, but Ah guess that fer me, finding yourself a nice hill, digging a nice den, blocking it off with some snow, and curling up for a nice long nap is one of life's great pleasures. Sure I could thicken up m' fur and sleep right out in the open, but it's not as homely." she explained, looking down at her paw, shifting the fur so that the fur between her paw pads grew a lot thicker and padded. Then it shifted back, and she laid it back on the ground. "But that's just another one of those weird opinions of mine..." she trailed off, giving him a shy smile of her own, moments after his. Rolling her shoulders, she looked away, laughing airily.

Zorr

Zorr felt the sun loosing most of it's warmth, compared to the heat of midday. His crimson eyes looked up to see it was moving ever so slowly to the west, guessing it would be evening soon.

Zorr nodded his head in a slow manner, taking in the accounts of Maybelle's thoughts on the current manner. He gave a small shrug, "I wouldn't really know, I haven't traveled much. I've only been to about as far as Pheonix Forest and the dead end of the gulf." He threw the comment out there, before adding, "Back on subject, your explaination seems intelligent enough. I'm sure the smaller ones are ruled by parents and the members consist of siblings. We all know that children love to rebel against their parent's wishes most of the time, so that could be how others react to other sources of authority." He mused before his thoughts turned to when he was establishing Sera pack. How some of the faithful wolves followed him before dying of old age and sickness.

"Oh, I understand the need for a nice, sheltered cave. It creates a wanted atmosphere that brings good memories back, a place to keep privacy and a place to call your own..." He trailed on, his ears swiviling ontop of his skull at the faintest steps of a wolf nearby. Zorr swung his tail around to gently place his tail on Maybelle's shoulder as if to excuse him for a moment, before removing it and curling it along his own paws.

"Shinraisei, Did you need something?" He asked in a friendly manner, it didn't mind him that a fellow pack member needed him while he was talking. His eyes cast downward from the hill to look at the blind and mute wolf, before looking at his helper for the response.

Thor gave a ruffle of his wings, "Oh, he doesn't need anyone right now. He's letting the pack rest for the day and celebrate." He said, there was a sense of pride that welled up in his throat. He gave her a suspicious look, "Banshee?" He repeated, acting shock by this news. "Quite a fight indeed, but I would've imagened more bloodshed than a scrap against the shoulder being that you would have to fight tooth-and-claw since you both share the same element, no? I am quite sure he wouldn't be a willingly wolf to leave again..." He trailed on, letting his talons grip into the dirt.

Thor tucked his wings into his black body, "I will not bring up that you chose not to kill him, I'll just say he ran off before you got the chance. I'm sure he'll be content enough to learn of you chasing him off instead of mingling with him." He reassured her. He didn't want the possibility for Zorr to start being suspicious and loosing trust in the wolf once more over her acts.

Rai's ears barely flicked as the Alpha said his name. He didn't bother to turn his head, sensing the fire wolf quite fine. His owl lept around to face the wolf. "Greeting, Zorr. When shall be a good time to start a hunt? The pack could be hungry, and it would be a good opportunity to allow the hunters experiance with eachother." he gave, trying to make it sound like the pack needed the hunt, not just that Shinraisei was hungry. His beak allowed him no facial expression, so he would have to rely upon his voice.

Zorr looked greatfully at the air wolf's suggestion. "That is a great idea, yes. I think it would be good to get some of these wolves on their paws and get to know the wolves you will be working together. I want you to lead this hunting party, since you suggested it. Bring a couple hunters or all the hunters, if you wish." He said, his voice ringing down the slope. He was sure the pack would be hungry after this and he knew it would be ideal to hunt as the summer heat was out. The herd should be exhausted by then. Zorr couldn't wait to see the result of the first hunting party. This made his eyes flicker with great pride that caused him to puff out his chest.

The white wolf respectfully dipped his head low, and got to his feet, spreading his tattered wings. He could remember quite well the hunters. There was Artemis, the Water wolf and Frost, the Ice wolf. Knowing that Ice-types didn't do well in the heat, he decided that he would let her rest in the shade instead of running after animals. A strong wind picked up, howling into his ears and the ocarina at his neck. The instrument gave a wolf-like summoning howl to the only other hunter.

Toshiro gazed up at Maybelle through piercing blue eyes. "Should you want to come for the hunt, you may join us." he offered before turning back to await the Water wolf.

Artemis

The blue-black wolf raised her head from talking with Frost. She turned in the direction of the call. "That's odd. That doesn't sound like a wolf..." she mused to herself before trotting off in that direction. Soon, she came across the strange, three-winged wolf. She tilted her head, wondering what he could want.

Shinraisei + Artemis

Shinraisei turned his head towards her and nodded gently, the wind ceasing. He silently bid his helper to speak. "There is to be a hunt. I hope you are up for it." he reported, already taking wing and soaring up into the sky. His wolf folded his wings and the wind picked up again, bringing scents from nearly everywhere. He sniffed for a while before he knew the location of the herd. He flicked his tail, gesturing for the female to follow.

Zorr listened to the odd howl before watching Artemis join him. He gave a small nod before looking back to Maybelle, wondering if she would take up Rai's offer to join the hunt. He wouldn't mind if she left or not. If she did join, he would just check up on the pack and do some alpha duties. If she chose against it, he wouldn't mind staying and chatting with her some more. His ears gave a gentle flicker in her direction, but kept his face forward staring at the pack farther out.

Maybe nodded at his additions to her thoughts. That made sense too, though of course there was always the fact their species tended to be naturally proud creatures, some just had trouble submitting. As he rested his tail on her shoulder, she followed his gaze to the air wolf, giving him a friendly smile as she watched their exchange.

She of course had already eaten, but no doubt the rest of the pack would have been hungry by now, though May had no doubt they'd be able to fetch something. The herd she had seen earlier was quite a good size, and they were tasty, to top it all off. He asked if she wanted to join, and she looked over to Zorr. She was having a good time talking to him, and didn't want to just leave him to go off and do the same old thing. The pack seemed to be functioning just fine at the moment, and she figured it might have been nice for him to have a little reprive and just sit and chat.

She gave him a questioning look, silently asking him if he wanted her to stay or go. If he had some things he wanted to get done, she would be happy to bond with the pack and go for a little hunt, but if he'd rather her stay, she would.

Zorr turned his face slowly to look at Maybelle, noticing her questioning eyes. He motioned his head silently to the two wolves departing. "I know your not of the hunting rank, but I'm sure it would be good for you three to get to know each other." He said in a light voice. He knew that she had distant herself away from the others a little while before because everyone else seemed so busy. "We will finish our conversation when we return and gather around the prey." He noted, this would allow her to do both task. Pushing off his paws to stand up, he looked down the hill. Allowing the rays of the sun to warm his back before lifting his neck up in a regal like manner, he looked back at Maybelle incase she wanted to put something in.

Atra nodded her thanks to the eagle. "Yes, it seems he still likes me though, for he was resistant to attack me." She sighed and continued, like the memory really pained her. "But thank you for your kindness, dear Thor. I will repay this favour someday." Atra bowed, speaking truthfully. She was currently in debted to this eagle.

Her wings outfolded in her bow, and when she returned to her usual stance, her wings closed. Her smile was weak but genuine, and she blinked her eyes slowly, observing the eagle.

Maybelle nodded, that sounded fair to her. "All right, then. Don't work too hard!" she said in a rather upbeat manner, dipping her head to him and giving a smile before she trotted after the others, looking between them. "Ah'm Maybelle." she introduced, realizing that they probably didn't know her, considering she didn't recognize them. Licking her lips, she was thoughtful, wondering how the hunt would be organized, who would do what role, etc. Frankly though, it didn't matter to her. Shape-shifting made hunting a bit of a breeze, she would execute anything they needed her to do.

She followed after Rai as he began to move on, her tail swaying lightly behinnd her as she sniffed at the air. Her steps were jaunty and springy, obviously she was excitedly anticipating the hunt.

Zorr

Zorr gave a light, returning dip of his head to the shapeshifter. "I'll try not to." He said in a soft murmur as she walked down the hill. He watched her leave before sauntereing down the hill himself. His paws were leading to the main part of the territory.

Thor shook the feathers around his neck, "No need, my dear. I better be getting back to Zorr to deliver your message, and I'm sure you want to get back to patrolling and relaxing." He said, giving a small dip of his head before beating the air with is great wings. Ascending into the sky, he swooped off to Zorr.

Zorr nodded his head as he went into a two-step stop. He dipped his head to his loyal helper. "Welcome back, Thor. Anything of interest?" He asked, giving his tail an interested flicker. Thor blinked his sharp eyes, "Yes, I ran into Atra..." He said, watching as Zorr's eyes flickered with deep curiousity. "She was out patrolling the borders and ran into that darkness wolf, Banshee. She had chased him off and got into a small tussle with him." He explained, leaving out the key point. Zorr's eyes flashed with flames growing around his pupils.

"Why was that fiend back here?" He asked, lashing his tail back and forth, "Did she kill the wolf like I ordered?" He asked, hoping it was the news he wanted.

Thor gave a single shake of his head, "No, he ran off the border too quick to give Atra the chance." He lied, folding his wings along his back.

"Why does it not surprise me?" He asked, feeling himself grow increasingly hot, "How ironic is it for Atra to be doing a patrol by herself and happens to come across the banished wolf that is trying to get to her and isn't quick enough to kill him?" He said aloud, in a lower voice so only Thor could here. His anger was flaring out. If Thor had lips, he would surely be biting them right now. Thor kept a calm demenor and shook his head.

"Zorr, do you think before speaking nonsense? I am quite sure she is loyal to you, she has a few scratches as some proof. It might be just bad luck." He reassured him, hopping up on Zorr's shoulder and giving him a soft peck on the head.

Zorr shook his head and grumbled, "I dunno," He said through gritted teeth before walking into his den. In the privacy of his den, he needed to get rid of this temper before a wolf arrived and he acted harsh to them. He shouldered Thor off of him and his body burst out into hot flames, hissing and licking the walls around him. From the outside, there was a small lumination that reflected off the walls in the dark den. He paused, letting the fire burn on him as a form of relaxation.

Rai lifted his head, still sniffing out the herd of deer. Toshiro swooped down low, and relayed instructions. "There's a herd on the horizon. Here's the plan. Shinraisei shall control the wind currents so the herd does not notice us then he and Artemis shall run around and herd the deer into Maybelle, where she can make the kill. Does that sound good?" he asked, soaring up again.

Atra

Atra smiled happily as Thor left, and sighed when he was out of sigh. Zorr would be angry, no doubt. And now she was alone again. Atra cloaked herself in a wave of darkness to rid herself of Banshee's scent and leave only her own. Then, with the cover of the dark, she ran through the forest and closer to where the meeting of the ranks had taken place. Atra slunk down in the shadows and stayed quite, so she could observe and not be seen. Jace landed next to her to keep watch, and under a false sense of security, the dark wolf's eyes drifted shut.

Maybelle nodded, her tail wagging a bit. "Sounds just fight t' me." she agreed, licking her lips as she thought about how she could make the kill. There was any number of ways she could do it, but she supposed she would wait to see what kind of position she was in, and what her opening was going to be like before she could do it. As the began getting closer to the herd, Maybelle sunk down, her belly brushing against the tips of the grass as she crept along, silent.

She took up a place in a long patch of grass not too far away from the herd, her eyes narrowed and senses focused to wait for instructions and any cues.

Rai nodded toward Maybelle and started a wide circle around the herd of deer, keeping the smell of wolves away from the prey. His smallest wing slowly opened, gesturing for Artemis to circle the other way. He sank low to the ground, almost crawling on his belly and continued to the opposite end of the deer.

Artemis looked in awe at the white wolf. How could he possibly see where he was going? She shook her head and stayed low to the ground, silver belly touching the grass. She warily eyed the herd, knowing she wasn't the best at camoflauge. Her blue eyes darted to Shinraisei once she got into position, awaiting the signal.

Shinraisei stood still for many moments, watching the plan role into his head. He saw himself and Artemis snapping at the hoofed heels, and driving the deer to a perfectly hiden Maybelle. The plan had to work. Without warning, his three wings snapped open and the wind howled through the grassland. The white wolf took off running, carefully guided by the slight air pressure around him, toward the swarm of prey.

Artemis sprung into the air with her long legs and dashed toward her end of the herd, snapping at the heels of the newly alarmed deer, driving them toward Maybell's hiding spot. Part of the herd veered away, and the Water wolf had to race quickly to get them back on course.

Zorr

After burning himself, Zorr stopped and walked outside. He lifted his head up to see the moon falling from it's zenith. He shook his fur and noticed that the hunting party wasn't back yet. A hint of worry struck through him, but he shook it off knowing that they would've howled to get him. He sat just outside his den, surveying the pack's night life. He felt no different in his physical features, but definitly had gotten more wiser on how to run a pack with his birthday arriving. Lowering himself down to the ground into a laying position, he looked up to the moon and figured it would be a good time to visit his parents.

Getting up, he motioned to Thor to perch on his shoulders. Once his helper did so without a word, Zorr took off with a quick speed and feeling Thor's sharp talons dig into his skin to prevent falling off.

Stopping at two massive rocks, between the borders of Sera and Ronoh. He sniffed the ground before settling down in front of the stones. His head was bowed, staring at the grass. His expression was emotionless and he started to mumble, "Thought I should visit you two," He started, trying to find the right words, "I do miss you and wish you were here to guide me. I do promise you, father, I will reunite both territories once more under my alphaship. I'll make you proud." He whispered in an unaudible voice. As if to keep vigil for them, he sat there in silence and just stared upon their graves.

Atra suddenly saw Zorr take a seat in front of two boulders nearby her in the bushes. He seemed to say something, and then go quiet. Knowing he would not see her, she smiled. But then she had a change of heart. Atra did belong to this pack now, and spying on her alpha was not a way to reenstate herself into his good graces. Reluctantly and against her instincts, she emerged from the shadows.

"Hello Zorr," she smiled weakly, her night-fueled vision clear and crisp. Her eyes were the only thing blatantly visible against the darkness, and Atra knew this. She used a bit of her energy to increase the brightness of the red markings on her legs so Zorr could see her better. Wolves did not like suprises, and she knew this well. She trotted quickly next to Zorr and sat down, wondering what the rocks were for. She looked at him and smiled, her tail gently swaying back and forth.

Maybelle continued to stay crouched in anticipation in the long patch of grass. Her tail swayed side to side in a slow, flickering motion, much like a cat might do when gearing up to pounce. Her muscles were tensed and coiled as she waited, eyes wide and sharped on the herd as it was driven around the clearing. As they came her way, she moved back and forth slightly, judging quickly what her target would be.

When at last they were near her, Maybelle leaped out. She shifted into a monstrously large bull moose, locking horns with the stag and lifting him clear up, bashing him to the ground roughly over her shoulder. She hoped that Artemis and rai would take advantage of its confusion and the time it would need to scramble back on its feet to finish it off. If not, she would just run it down again.

In the mean time she shifted into a bear, smacking one of the deer across the chest, sending the smaller animal sprawling. She went down on its neck, locking her huge fangs around its neck, using the size and weight advantage of her current form to keep it held down. They might have been fine with just the one stag, but there was nothing against freezing this one and letting it keep for when they got hungry again. They wouldn't have to hunt for a few days.

Zorr continued to stare down intently at the boulder, unaware of anything going on around him. Hearing Thor give a shrill caw to alert him as Atra spoke and glowed behind him. Zorr shook his head, snapping out of his trance at the familiar voice of the warrior. "Oh, hello." He said, sniffing the air. "What brings you here?" He asked her in a casual voice, bringing his face to look at her before turning it back to the boulder.
