Zorr gave an equal nod. His eyes flickered merrily at the sight of Siva with her son arrive, and then Eli. Just in time, he was the last one to recieve thier rank! Well, Siva still needed to, but he would give it to her when Vishu was old enough to leave her side and go into apprenticeship. He dipped his head and spoke, "Eli." He called out to the armor wolf. Zorr stood up straight, "You have been a loyal member, through and through. Your tough armor plates will make it ideal as a fighter, which is why you will be a warrior." He commented in a strong voice, letting his tail lift up higher as the ranking had almost finished. He let out a small cough as his throat started to get sore, "Do you accept, Eli, to become a warrior?" He asked.

Maybelle watched the meeting with curious eyes, looking each wolf over as they were given their rank, seeming to approve. She thought about what she would be if she did indeed join this pack. Everyone seemed to be placed as either warrior or hunter, and Maybelle pursed her lips. Yes, she could fight like a demon, and hunting was easy for her, but neither rank really made use of what she was good at. She wanted to be a spy, or an assassin! Like her cousin had been...

Maybelle looked down, and her eyes seemed to glimmer as she remembered the wolf. Yes, Avalon Wyrzyk had been the best tracker and spy/assassin rank she had met. It had always been hard to play hide and seek; the wolf had a nose like no other. And her steps were so silent... her strikes deadly. That's all Maybelle wanted to do. She wanted to be a spy, she wanted to be a killer. Shapeshifting was after all the ultimate disguise. When you could take the shape of another... why not use it?

She gave a weary sigh, looking off to the side. It didn't seem this pack had Wraiths, Shadows, Emmissaries, whatever you wanted to call them. She wasn't sure she was joining though, anyway, so for the moment she would put that off until the question was asked of her. If anything, maybe she could be a mercenary for them. Go check up on that other pack they all seemed to hate so much every now and then, in exchange for a place to sleep and good food... sounded like a dream come true, to Maybelle.

(( I wouldn't say so. Yeah she can be violent, but to others she is usually very sweet unless they mess with her. She just REALLY iolizes her cousin, and she had been a spy/assassin, so naturally, being that she looks up to her, May wants to follow her pawsteps. :P

...Plus like my post mentioned it's PERFECT for shapeshifters! >:D ))

Atra nodded thoughtfully as the other wolves recieved their ranks and she smiled at Eli. "I'm a warrior too," she said with a sly smile.

Zorr

Zorr nodded his head greatfully and stood up proud and tall. He looked over the wolves, "I hope you all make Sera proud. This meeting is dismissed, you may group together where your ranking is to get to know each other, congradulate, and plan out what your specific role your rank will be." He said, giving his fur a nice shake making Thor lift off into the sky and fly off with a shrill caw. Zorr nodded his head before jumping down the high rock and walking amongst the group.

Atra smiled as soon as the meeting had ended and trotted slowly to Shinraisei. "Hello again," she said sweetly, wagging her tail slightly. This wolf interested her to no end, and she wanted to know more.

Jace landed high up on one of Atra's wings and studied Shinraisei. It puzzled him that the wolf did not talk. Jace poked Atra hesitantly, and she shook her wing for him to fly off. She kept her smile placid and pleasant, never faltering in her fake sweetness.

Rai's head tilted towards the Darkness wolf. He nodded his greeting while his helper added his words. "Hello, Atra." The white wolf stood on his paws and shook his thick, furry coat. Toshiro took this as a sign and continued. "You wanted to talk to us?" he asked, twisting his head sideways.

"If it would not be too much trouble," she said sweetly, forging an innocent smile on her lips. She found herself wondering what Shinraisei's voice actually sounded like, for she imagined it one of the most beautiful sounds she had ever heard.

Atra retreated for a moment into her own mind, thinking of Shinraisei's voice. Her eyes clouded over in a distant look, but she never blinked. Her red and black eyes glimmered with unspoken thoughts and she sighed, content.

Maybelle licked her lips as the meeting was called off, standing up and trotting over to Zorr. She dipped her head to him, looking around at all the other wolves. "Hi. Ah got a question Ah need ta be answered. Mind if we step off to th' side an' talk?" she asked, looking behind her as Kaleidoscope trudged over, climbing up onto her back and gripping loosely at her fur, peering up at the great fire wolf with a curious gaze. He had no doubt Maybelle was going to talk to him about something pack related. Maybe they were going to join this pack, and he could relax for a while. Maybelle really did need to settle down, she was always living on the move, it got really tiring.

Zorr

Zorr watched as Maybelle approuched him, his ears pointed forward listening to her. He gave a short nod, "Yes, Of course." He said in a casual manner. He flickered his fiery tail and skirted his way through the crowd till he was standing apart from the group. His paw pads were aching from standing on the hard stone for so long, deciding to let himself slide down into a comfortable sitting position. His gaze turned to look at where she was, hoping she didn't get lost in the small crowd.

Thor flapped down to Zorr with heavy beating of the still air. He landed quickly, causing him to take a few steps to stop himself. Folding his wings against himself delicatly, he strutted back beside Zorr.

Rai dipped his head gracefully. "No. It wouldn't be any trouble at all. Shall we take a walk?" The small snowy owl asked, hopping once and becoming airborne. He flapped once, and circled around his wolf with the help of a summoned wind. The ocarina tweeted happily, playing a light C. The white wolf started padding away, then paused. His tail flicked and his one of his wings opened as an invitation to come with him.

May smiled and dipped her head again, trailing after him. She stepped through the short crowd easily, coming up and taking a seat in front of him. "Ah have a... question about yer pack. Ah think that Ah would like ta join... but yer ranks. Ah'm not sure that Ah'd be satisfied with a warrior or a hunter. Ah could do either, don't get me wrong, and Ah would be honored to fight on your battlefield as a warrior should ya need me to, but what Ah really wanna do, what Ah'm good at... is... well, spywork. Assassination and the like." she explained slowly, every word thoughtful and slow. "Ah know that yer really concerned about the other pack around here, right? Well Ah could help you with that. Nothin' in the world blends in like a shapeshifter, y'know."

Zorr felt his muzzle curve into that of a grin, "I would gladly accept you into this pack." He commented, letting his tail swing back and forth on the ground. He nodded his head, listening to her reasoning and he gave a great nod. "I would consider that under the warrior status, just a specilized ranking within the warriors." He explained, looking at her intently. She was right, she would make a wonderful spy and assassin. It would definitly put his pack to the advantage to have this around and get back his true pack lands. "I would definitly be honored if you wanted to be an assasin and/or a spy. Couldn't tell a good shapeshifter no to that." He said in a kind manner, swishing his tail under the moonlight.

"I'm sure Thor is getting tired of spying from above, right?" He asked, turning his gaze to his helper. Thor shook his feathers, "Sometimes." He commented in a serious tone of voice.

Maybelle grinned, and dipped her head. That sounded like a brilliant compromise to her. A special operatives warrior of sorts, that's what she would be. And she had a home now. The smile didn't fade from her muzzle, and she nodded briskly, enthusiastically. "Thank you, Zorr. Ah won't let you down. Ah'll be sure to look over there as soon as Ah can." she said, planning to scout around in a day or two after she got all settled in. She would probably go off and make herself a den after she was done here.

Looking around at the wolves she remembered being deemed warriors, her eyes lingered on Eli for a moment, and she couldn't help but frown. She was still a little ticked about what had happened, but if they were going to be the same rank, chances were that they were going to be training and working together. She would apologize later, she supposed. But for now all she really wanted to do was get settled in with her own pack. Everyone seemed to be grouping up with friends, anyway. Maybelle's frown turned a little sad as she stood up with a sigh, bowing to Zorr before slowly beginning to walk away.

She missed her family.

Zorr's eyes glinted happily as Maybelle seemed thrilled about this. He returned the smile, "I'm sure you won't." He said in a soft voice as she walked off. He looked down to Thor who gently dipped his head and flapped his wings to perch on Zorr's shoulder. He guessed that she wanted to go and talk to the other pack members or fellow warriors. He shook his fur, making sure Thor wasn't flung off before sitting there silently watching his pack.

Atra followed intently, glad to be getting away from the others. She couldn't take all the positive energy, it was making her feel even worse.

She caught up to Shinraisei with Jace fluttering lightly about her. She smiled to him and faced forward, walking with pride.

Shinraisei gave a small smile as he sensed a slight personality change in the way Atra began walking. His helper sensed his question and dipped low. "Why so perky all of a sudden?" he called down, skimming over Atra's head. Using his momentum, he slid back into the sky again, high enough to be carried by a thermal, low enough so he could hear the conversation. Rai turned his head to Atra: he didn't need to see where he was going, the air pressure allowed him to see a rough outline of everything. He tilted his head slightly, wondering what she was thinking. The Darkness wolf was very intreging. Before, she had appeared to be sweet, but the blind wolf could sense something irritated her.

Atra chuckled airily. "Being away from others calms my spirits i guess u could say," she said. She couldn't help her cheerfullness at the others absence. She had only ever liked a few wolves in her life, and that had not gone too well.

Shinraisei nodded respectfully. He knew how she felt. Being alone for so long, being around other wolves makes him claustrophobic. He always felt better alone. He shook his head, flipping his long white mane to the other side of his head. His bang flew up from his forehead for just a moment, revealing the three pink, long scars over his bandana-covered eyes, then covered them again. Rai licked his nose, as the fur under his leather bracer was getting itchy. At night, he usually took it off to air his neck out, so he was late in doing so. Rai turned his head up at Toshiro and nodded. The unusually small owl swooped down again and lightly landed on Atra's back. "Would you be alright with Shinraisei taking off his bracer? It gets mighty itchy at night, and he always taked it off." he calmly asked, hoping Rai wouldn't get too embarrased to reveal his scar.

Atra nodded calmly, not showing her excitement on what was underneath the brace. She imagined it a scar of some kind, and the dark wolf had a soft spot for wolves with scars. She would have giggled if she didn't think it rude at the moment.

Atra smiled at the owl on her shoulder. She tried to stay calm, for she had issues with helpers touching her. Even her own she did not usually let rest on her shoulder. Typically she would have shoved him off, but out of respect she stayed still.

Rai took a breath and nodded to his helper, and the owl winged his way over to the wolf's back. With quick dips, Toshiro's beak unlaced the leather thread holding the brace together. The white wolf let the piece of hardened leather fall to the ground. The soft air felt good on his exposed throat, though it must have been a greusome sight to behold. A thick, knotted cord of scar tissue ran up Rai's throat, branching out into different directions, much like a tree's root system. Pock-marks of the fangs that had torn through his throat were still visible, as most of the fur was gone from the underside of his neck. Shinraisei silently took his bracer in his mouth and continued on. The chill air on his scar sending shivers down his spine and making his soft fur stand on end.

The snowy owl twisted his head toward Atra. "A wolf tore his throat apart in a war long ago. That's why he can't speak and wears the bracer. Luckily, the brute didn't get to his windpipe."

Atra nodded, entranced. This wolf was so interesting. She walked up to the white male and stood in front of him, blocking his path so he couldn't walk.

"I mourn for your loss," she whispered and licked the side of his cheek delicately. she wished he could speak, it wad a terrible curse to not be able to. She sighed sadly and looked into his blind eyes.

Shinraisei took a step back as she blocked his path, and immediately wondered why. His fluffy ears pulled back in embarrassment. She had it all wrong. His muteness wasn't a curse, sometimes it was, but he was able to listen instead of cloud air with pointless words. Rai also couldn't gossip, couldn't spread rumors and couldn't say anything bad about another. He tilted his head thoughtfully, letting one of his ears flop down. He dropped the bracer to the ground and carefully flicked his tongue out to lick her cheek in appreciation for her concern.

Zorr lifted his head back up, a smile forming across his muzzle as the summer sun was starting to rise. There was a heavy fog around the edges of the forest but it would soon vanish as the tempeture increased. He stood up and stalked over to the large group of wolves, striding past Apollo. He looked over to the fellow fire wolf, "Summer is finally here, isn't it great?" He commented, before dipping his head and making his way farther down. He turned and looked at all the wolves, letting a small smile form across his muzzle.

Maybelle sat off on a large hill, quite a distance from the others, her eyes on the sky. Ordinarily at about this time she would be beyond extatic. Summer was by far her favorite time of the year, especially away from home. It wasn't that hot yet, but the increased dryness of the air reminded her of her home in the south, and she felt her heart give another lurch as she thought about this. May still missed her family more than she could express, but there was nothing she could do about it. Sera was her pack now, and she couldn't leave after only being there for less than what, a week or so?

Kale nuzzled her leg with his bony muzzle as a weary sigh slipped passed her lips, and the usually jaunty she-wolf gave him a sad smile. "Ah don't know how Ah'm gonna get through this," she muttered. She felt stuck in a rut, and she didn't know how to get out of it. Socializing might help, but everyone was still so busy in their little groups. If only she had someone to connect to.

"You'll get through it, Maybelle." her Helper promised her, and she gave the chameleon another forlorn smile. "Yer mah Helper. Yer s'posed to say stuff like that."

"Yes, but I mean it." the lizard promised with a confident nod, drawing a soft laugh from his wolf as she sunk down onto her belly, her tail wrapped around her as she peered up at the sky. "Ah hope so."

Zorr

Zorr padded along into the group, looking at each wolf before turning his attention to the familiar darkness wolf walk off with his the white air wolf. He watched them for a little, basically dazed out and looking through them. Zorr blinked his crimson eyes, snapping out of that trance as Thor pecked at his shoulder. He looked over at the eagle, who merely shrugged his shoulders and clapsed his talons firmly on Zorr's shoulder to prevent falling off.

Zorr turned his head away from his helper to look forward. His eyes grazed across the horizon before spotting Maybelle alone on the hilltop away from the others. Shifting to turn his body around, spotting that most of the wolves looked fine. Zorr decided to go talk to her, his pace was quickened as he walked up the hill.

The fire wolf finally reached the crest and looked out as the sun was picking up in the sky. He squinted his eyes away from the bright rays before looking over at Maybelle. There was a hidden sadness in her face and he figuired it was best not to bring it up. "What brings you to the top of this hill?" He asked her in a calm voice, "I'd have thought you would've mingled with the others below." He lowered himself into a sitting position. Thor slowly scaled down Zorr's sloped back until he hit the grass.

Maybelle's ears twitched faintly as she heard Zorr's approaching footsteps, but she made no move to tilt her head or sit up, continuing to lie on her stomach looking up at the sky. The chrome colored pinwheels of her irises turned to him when she spoke, and she shrugged as much as she could in her position. "Ah'm... enjoyin' the summer weather, that's all." she said. Of course, she knew that he probably didn't believe her. Her eyes were too expressive for her to keep any secrets, so she turned her head away, her ears falling down to about half-mast.

A weary sigh escaped her, and she looked back after a moment, pushing herself up to a sitting position mirroring Zorr's. "And... Everyone is pretty much doing their own thing. Ah'll just wait fer the rukus to calm down." she added, resting a paw on Kale's head, patting her Helper gently.

Rai's ears fluttered. He still wondered what compelled the Darkness wolf to lick him, and him to lick her. Was it affection? He had never felt this way before, but it was a tugging sensation. Even though he had much field experience, he had never once felt the way he was now. Hesitantly, Shinraisei took a step and stretched his neck over hers. He turned his head and rubbed his cheek against her black fur. He breathed deeply. Her scent was interesting. It smelled like a cold night in the winter snow. Nothing moved and the air was still, filled with the scent of pines and dead trees. He gave a light sigh.

Atra was suprised at the sudden embrace, and her dark cold shadows reached out to this white body around hers. She sighed contentedly and welcomed the comfort of another compared to her usually solitary ways. In a way, she really enjoyed this other wolf, and she felt an odd comfort just by  his being near her.

Atra's eyes flashed red with sudden anger at herself. How could  she be so foolish as to like anyone?! Feelings were a sign of weakness and she knew it, but she couldnt bring herself to pull away from this other wolf. Her red pupils turned back to their usual obsidian black and her anger faded. This pack was changing her.

A tiny trickle of water escaped from Rai's wounded eyes, making them sting. It was happiness, he was sure of it. Being near another wolf was painful for him, since they caused his handicaps. This one was different. She was a loner, too. He could tell she didn't like being around other wolves like he did. It felt good to be able to relate to another. He sighed again, and retracted his neck. A wind picked up, filling his ocarina with sweet music. The sweet potato sang, purer than it ever had before, and this time, the song was happy.

Atra felt a wet spot on her dark pelt and looked up at her companion. Her eyes showed confusion. The tear stain burned where it hit her, making her think the tear was of happiness. This made her dark eyes swirl with red in thought. Why would this wolf care for her? Why was she so special?

She said nothing and closed her eyes, listening to Shinraisei's bangles sing. It was a cheerful tune. She breathed heavily and concentrated, picking out each note in particular and identifing it. Anything to avoid the fact that this wolf shed a tear for her.

He watched Atra ignore him for a different wolf. He bristled her grey fur standing on end and turning from grey to metallic silver. His lips pulled away from his teeth to show a mouth full of metal teeth. He growled and walked away."Boo come here."The large owl flew to him."Find Atra tell me who she's with and what she's doing please."Boo flew away into the night she felt bad for doing this but it was what her master wished. She soon found Atra and landed in a tree she crawled into the hollowed out part her large yellow eye's watching the two wolves intently.

Toshiro's sensitive ears picked up soft swooshing, much like his own, and his head swiveled around 240 degrees, scanning for the owl. His bright eyes managed to pick out the mop of feathers in a dead tree. He stared at the owl for the longest, unblinking time. Finally, his head turned back, leaving the small snowy owl to wonder what the owl was doing.

The wind ended, leaving the round flute empty. Rai's head twitched, and he backed off. His ear flicked to alert his helper to talk. Toshiro snapped back into reality. "It is late, Atra. We should leave. Good night." he bade as his blind wolf turned away. Shinraisei dipped his head elegantly and silently galloped away.

Boo watched the little gathering...The hug she seen it.

She knew Eli would be angry...he would want to speak

with this wolf so Boo knew she mustn’t tell him that the
wolf was white....Her cold yellow eye's watched Atra

skeptically and she flew away from the tree. She

avoided landing on Eli's sharp spikes and landed on the
ground. As she told him when she got to the part she

lied and said he was covered and Boo couldn't see him.
Eli howled a howl of pain anger and hatred mixed. He

was totally enraged.

Rai's ears pricked to the sound of an angry howl. It sounded strangely like it was meant for him, but he didn't know who it could have been. Atra couldn't have made that howl, could she? He shook his head and folded his wings tighter along his body, making him faster.

He thought for a moment then realized the wolf she was with at the ceremony. He thought...white.....wings...And he had a brace. He opened his eye's letting a low growl escape his throat. He started at a little trot and began to run his body moving as fast as he could. He growled loudly hoping the male was in the area and he would here him...He was thinking...What was that name?…Rai! That was the wolves’ name. He didn't know how it had come to him he didn't even think he knew it but he figured he must have just over heard it.

Atra heard the angry howl and then the snowy owl....it must be Eli, she though with remorse. she didnt understand why he was so overprotective of her, after all they werent together or anything.

As Rai laft her, she sighed and whispered goodnight. He would never have heard it, but she silently hoped he had. Her wings folded around her body with a rustling of feathers. The shadows that puddled around Atra's feet stroked and comforted her with their familiar chill. She reveled in the dark. And now that the light was fading, it would be her time.

She smiled wickedly in the shadows, her eyes flashing red. Eli would have to fight her first bafore he even though of getting to Rai. She ran swiftly through the forest, silent as shadows, until she saw Eli up ahead, armour shining.

"Eli," she whispered in the dark, letting her shadows carry her words. Her pupils were completely red now in anticipation.

Atra could not believe what she had just heard 'i wish i was'. it echoed in her head. No, she thought, no. Why would this wolf want to be with her? She was dumbfound. Atra stood silently, saying nothing, rooted by shock. Here was a problem she had never faced before. She watched Eli with such a confused expression. She did not know how to react.
