Zorr nodded his great head and stood up. "Ah, yes. I wouldn't mind if you wanted a trial of the pack." He said, letting the corners of his mouth curve up. "If you have any questions, feel free to ask me and enjoy yourself." He said, motioning his head as she transformed and played with the pup. He watched them with soft eyes, remembering how free he was as a pup and when he actually got along with Zane. He shook his head and turned, walking back to the center of the territory.

He surveyed that the siblings were talking to Frost, he looked at each of them hard in thought. Which ones would be good as Warriors? As Hunters? He dipped his head to them before regally walking forward and sitting down in front of his den. He needed to pick out the ranks today, his pack needed to start getting productive.

His ears flickered as the familiar sound of Thor's wings beat the air. Zorr's eyes casted downward as a speckled mouse hit the ground from above, it was still and was punctured by the sides. The black eagle landed in front of the mouse, pecked at it with his beak before ripping into it's flesh.

Maybelle laughed and hopped out of the way as he jumped toward her, watching him roll around on the ground. "Yes, Ah'm yer friend." she said, smiling brightly at Vishu. Looking over her shoulder at Zorr, she nodded. "'Course. Ah'll be sure ta let ya know." she said.

Kale looked at the hummingbird and stuck his tongue out a bit. "How come your beak is so long?"

"I'm allowed," She said simply, now that her anger was out her shadows began to douse down. "Sometimes when people constantly think of you one way, that is the way you become." She said almost sadly, looking down.

Jace looked at the chameleon with a tilt of his small head. "Why don't you have a beak?" he wondered.

Atra smiled slightly at the hug. "Myself is not always the best to be," she explained. He wasn't understanding that unless she reined in her darkness, it would consume her, making everything she did based to kill. She sighed and looked at her friend.

Maybelle looked around, licking her lips. "Oh, she's pro'lly doin' some grown up business or another. Don't you worry 'bout her, Ah'm sure she's fine." she said, scratching behind her ear as a sudden itchy feeling came over her. She looked up at Siva, then down at Vishu, morphing back into her normal size. "Hey sugar Ah'm gonna need ta go for a li'l while, alright? You go on and be good fer your momma and we can play later, all right? Ah promise." she said with a grin, extending a paw to ruffle the pup's hair. Grabbing her fawn meal, she tossed it over her back.

aleidoscope shrugged, before asking, "Why don't you have scales?" he asked, looking down at his scaley skin, then up at the feathery bird. Glacing over to Maybelle, he shrugged. "I think that's actually my cue. Nice playing twenty questions with you," he said, dipping his head to the bird before climbing up to his wolf's back.

Zorr

Zorr stood up great and tall, looking over his pack. He gave a solemn dip of his head to his helper before ascending up the giant boulder that was nestled besides his den. He was young with age, so it was a breeze to leap onto the high ledge. He stood up proud and tall, alpha of Sera pack. He could see much farther around him than sitting near his den.

Thor watched the fire wolf from below before flapping up into the air knowing a pack meeting was to be held. He would help round up the others in case they were lost. He flew quickly, only remaining into a little speck in the sky.

Zorr threw his head back and made his eyes close into mere slits. He let out a booming howl, "Wolves of Sera, A pack meeting will be taken place right this moment. Please arrive at the great boulder." He howled before dropping his head down and perking his ears up to the echo of the howl.

Atra

Atra perked up her ears at the sound of Zorr's howl and lifted her head in an automatic response. Her howl was weaker than it could be, but still Zorr would have been able to hear it. Atra got to her feet slowly, she could feel her strength returning. She began to move toward the howl slowly, and arrived a few minutes after being summoned. "Present," she chirped, taking a spot in fron of the alpha. Besides tha she remained silent, for she knew Zorr would explain when everyone arrived. She sat patiently, with Jace perched on top of one of her wings.

Artemis + Apollo

Solstice peeped quietly and slowly wandered out of her nest of mane. She hesitantly walked over to the furry lemming and lightly pecked him once. "You are furry..." She mentioned, twisted her head and pecked him again. "Poofy..." She pecked him again. "Fuzzy!" The nightengale flapped her wigns hurridly in excitement. "Oh! But you won't hurt me, will you?" She asked, scared to death again of the puffball.

Apollo grinned at her. "Pretty name, Beautiful. And gorgeous lashes." He puffed his chest out, showing off his bright red belly and curled his tail over his back, much like a husky. "Now, what are you doing out in the sunlight? A pretty ice-wolf like you should be in the shade. I know what." The fire twin sauntered infront of Frost and turned his body to shield her from the sun. While doing so, flexing his muscles, which rippled under his fur.

Artemis rolled her eyes and winked back at Frost. Her head curled around her shoulder at the call. "Apollo, leave her!" She growled, and spead off in search of the boulder. Solstice gave a shrill sqwak and roughly shoved the lemming into her nest before crouching in the enterance and spreading her wings, blocking the mammal from falling out.

She made it there in great time, all of sudden remembering that she had accidentally run off with Chibi. "Sorry, little one." she apologized, nodding to the Alpha and sitting next to Atra. "Hello." She greeted.

Shinraisei

The Alpha's howl rang into his sinsitive ears, waking him up. The white wolf stretched and yawned before spreading his wings. A gale whistled by, filling his ocarina and producing a sweet, loud note that would be easily heard, harolding his arrival. The blind wolf got to his paws and extended the air pressure to fifty feet,the scenery imprinting themselves into his mind. Rai nodded, pinpointing where the howl came from, and where teh boulder was. With a great leap, he soared into the air. He landed lightly and ran fast to where the boulder was, hardly breaking a sweat.

Shinraisei's three remaining wings snapped open, immediately stopping him at the base of the large boulder. He folded all of the wings but one, which he waved in a salute, and sat down.

Moments later, Rai felt a wieght on his shoulder. "I haven't missed anything, have I?" Toshiro anxiously asked. The white wolf shook his head. No he hadn't.

Atra grinned nervously. All the wolves that had assembled were making her uncomfortable. "Hello," She greeted the female and then nodded to the male. "Greeting to you as well," she said. She looked forward, trying not to let her anger get the best of her. She wanted to tear away from these people and run, hide. But she stayed, breathing steadily and faking a smile.

Artemis smiled back. "Nice seeing you here...Are you hurt? You don't look so well..." she fussed, standing on all four paws, mentally rummaging through her abilities, looking for the 'file' on healing.

Shinraisei twisted his neck so his head was turned to the two females. One was Darkness, he could smell it heavily on her pelt. The other was Water, a noble element. He nodded his head in greeting but then returned it foreward. Toshiro's neck twisted to gaze at the two wolves. "I'm sorry. He can't answer you."

"Oh," she said to the bird. She looked the male up and down, he had obviously suffered many injuries. "What is his name?" she asked the helper curiously.

Atra turned to the female. "And well...it a long story. But i am not entirely well, that is sure. I saved another wolf by sucking out the poison of a different Dark wolf's bite. It made me a bit sick." she explained. It sounded so noble of her when she said it, but in truth she did it purely for her own gain. She wanted Eli alive and she wanted Banshee alive. So she saved Eli.

Toshiro's head bobbed up and down. "He is Shinraisei, and I Toshiro. We are happy to meet you miss...?" He asked, gesturing for her to give her name. Rai opened his battle-torn wings, letting them air out. His head bent and a pink tongue flicked out to lick his white pelt.

Artemis let out a breath from between her teeth. "That doesn't sound good...Do you need help? I think I can heal you... Would you like that?" she asked, feeling a great urge to heal the Dark wolf.

"Atra," She smiled deviously at the white male. She looked at the female with a kinder stare. "I appreciate your kindness, but it is unecessairy. I am healing fine, his poison will only make me stronger," She said sweetly. She didn't want medicines, they always made her sick. And she didn't like how this wolf insisted on trying to help her. Can't she see she was doing just fine?

Shinraisei nodded at her name. It was kind of pretty. Atra. It ringed softly in his ears.

Artemis nodded a little too quickly, nearly dislodging the two helpers on her back. "Yes. You just looked a little weak, that's all." she commented, backing off and taking her seat again.

"Yes i do seem a bit frail, but i am alright thank you," She said sweetly, sparing a glance back to Shinraisei. He had many things hanging on his neck, and she couldn't help but stare. Her beady black eyes glimmered in question, but she said nothing.

Toshiro noticed that she was looking at his wolf's neck, and hopped down from his perch. "Rai is blind, so he wears the bandana around his eyes to protect them. His throat was also badly damaged, so he wears the leather. Rai wears the ocarina sometimes for comminucation, but moslty for music. He likes to write poems. Play a tune?" he aske, twisting his head and looking at the white wolf. Rai sat motionless before a soft breeze came. The sweet potato sang gently, all in soprano. The ground was pressed with the lyrics. The snowy owl gazed at them, and read them aloud.

"Darkness is the solid night
Clipped wings give much fright
Liquid moon and dazzling stars
Wolfen rain and howling drawl
Feathers eveywhere they fall." The owl read softly, to the tune of the instrument.

"Thats beautiful," she said in a voice above a whisper. She was awed by the beauty of the poem. In a way she felt it related to her, the darkness and clipped wings. Her own wings hung at her sides and she ruffled them back into position. She stared at the potato, never thinking something like it could create such a sound. "My name means Darkness in the human language called Latin," she said with a tilt of her head to the white wolf. Could he have known that? she wondered. She was exactly the opposite of the white wolf, yet she liked him very much. Atra was confused. Too many wolves around, they were clouding her judgement. But here was a wolf who knew pain and hurt, who Atra could relate to.

Shinraisei nodded in thanks and ended the notes. He wished he could talk to her, but his throat was too badly damaged, and any time he would try to talk, his wounds would open and blood would spurt out, so he kept his mouth shut. He liked this Darkness wolf. She pretended to be hard, but there was softness in her. He could tell her pain in her voice, and felt sorry for her. It wasn't unlike his own, though. His head turned her way and he smiled softly.

Maybelle blinked and stopped in mid flight, listening intently as the howl suddenly erupted across the land. Well, technically she wasn’t a part of the pack, but it was still open for possibility, so she would go. Looking around, the “eagle” flew higher up into the air, looking for the big rock he had been talking about. Once she spotted it, she turned, angling her borrowed wings downward in a shallow swoop toward the scene. When she was close, she looked at Kaleidoscope, grinning broadly.“Hold on, dahlin!”she chirped.

 

“Oh sweet heavens don’t tell me you plan t—AHHHH!”he screamed as they were suddenly falling in Maybelle’s normal form. The wolf was hooping and hollering with glee, while the chameleon continued to scream. Just a few feet from the sky she shifted back into an eagle, catching herself. Lowering, she shifted back into a wolf again, landing easily on the ground, still giggling as her Helper leaped off her back, seeming to hug the ground.“You know, most wolves cherish and make sure their Helpers are safe! You’re a monster!”he wailed in distress.

 

Leaning down, she licked his cheek, ushering him along as she began to trot the rest of the distance, keeping an easy pace for her slower companion.“Oh relax, hon. Ah know ya secretly love skydivin’!” she teased,tickling his face with her tail as the great boulder came into view. Looking at Zorr, she dipped her head respectfully, sitting down with her Helper by her side.“Ah figured Ah may as well come, y’know.”She explained, smiling happily.

Zorr

Zorr looked down at the assembled wolves. A small smile flickered over his face as most of the wolves arrived, he just had to wait for Siva and Eli to make their presence down here. He looked farther, spotting Frost and Apollo not to far from him but Zorr would call it close enough for them to be heard. He looked down at the wolves, wondering if they were anticipating to know what he would say or what rank they would be given.

He snapped out of his silent trance and looked down to find the familliar loner near the rock, "Oh, no problem. I'm sure your just curious." He said simply, knowing that she was checking out everything to make her desicion to stay or leave. She might as well see this part of pack life.

His eyes turned to gaze at Atra, studying her carefully. She did look weak in stature, but he was sure that with some rest. She would be back to her normal self in no time. There seemed to be a quick connection that formed between the air and darkness wolf, it was good to see an older pack member talking to the new one.

He lifted his head up and let his gaze fall on the horizon, waiting for the other wolves. If Thor arrived her before them, then they would have to start the meeting without them. It wasn't fair for majority of the pack to sit here while they probably wanted to go about with other tasks.

Chibi huffed indignantly."Who's furry, fuzzy and poofy? And I told you, of course not though I do hate to be called tiny or cute." As he finished talking Artemis started off running and Solstice pushed him in. "Who--Wha?!" He cried, tumbling over. When Artemis apologized, he scrambled up and made an effort to look as cross as he felt but failed. "You should very well be. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll be going back now." Chibi rolled off Artemis's back and landed on the ground.

Seeing as Apollo hadn't done anything yet, Frost relaxed a little but not too much. "You really think so?" She fluttered her eyelashes again. "I was just talking to your sister." She flicked her tail at Apollo's nose, still pretending to flirt. "If you don't mind, I'd like to be getting under some shade now. I'm boiling." Frost wasn't pretending about that. Her fur was damp with sweat.

Artemis + Apollo

Apollo grinned. He had never talked to a female for so long before. Normally, they sense him from a mile away and take off running. Any girl that chose not to run was obviously interested in him.

"Oh yeah. Really beautiful. You know, I was wondering... Perhaps you'd like to join me for.... uh... dinner?" he ended, wondering if that would sound like something she'd like. His male-brain soon found out that yes, it was, and he continued. "What suits your fancy? Rabbit? A nice goose, perhaps? Or, if you want, I could get you a shank of elk or deer. And...Let's make it at night, savvy?" He tilted his head, waiting for her answer.

Artemis turned and looked at the lemming. "I'm sure she's coming. Why don't you sit with Solstice and I?"

"Hmmm... That sounds interesting..." Frost looked thoughtful. "I need to ask Chibi something though... He's my helper. Chibi! Where are you?" She looked around for him. "Funny... He's not here... Oh no! Artemis must have carried him off by accident." Frost said, remembering that Chibi had climbed onto Artemis to talk to her helper. "Wait a second here..." She bolted off in the direction that Artemis had gone.

"There you are." She sighed in relief, seeing a lemming that could be none other than Chibi. "Oh by the way, Artemis. Your brother is quite... Interesting. He invited me for dinner. Think he'll try anything funny?" She knelt to let her helper climb on and created a little snow to cool them off.

Atra listened to the other wolves petty problems and found herself once again thinking of Sinraisei. She spared a glance in his direction, only seeing him out of the corner of her eye. She sighed and looked up, hoping this meeting would start soon.

Atra nodded her greeting to Maybelle and jace buzzed around her head in hello, happy his friend had joined them

Artemis looked over her shoulder at Frost. "Yeah. We tried going off looking for you, but I told him that you would be here shortly. And here you are. And...Apollo invited you for dinner? He never does that..." she gaped, amazed at her brother. Perhaps he was trying to be a gentleman after all.

Apollo gazed off in the direction Frost went off in and grinned to himself. The fire wolf let out a wild whoop and lept into the air. "YES!! YESYESYES!!!" he yelled, extremely excited that a girl had actually said yes. "Whoo!"

Zorr watched before him and couldn't help smiling, so there were some wolves that were going to develop better relationships with others. He felt a twinge of pride kick in, happy that his pack was successful so far. He turned his attention, letting out a soft sigh as Thor was seen in the distance but the other wolves weren't there.

Thor flew over, regally landing and perching on Zorr's right shoulder. He nodded his head in greeting and spoke to the wolf, "I'm sure they will be here, if not, then I'm sure they come in the middle of it." He spoke in a hushed voice.

Zorr nodded his head, "Yes, we must proceed." He looked off toward the pack wolves. "Wolves of Sera, I have quite a few announcements. First of all, I am glad that you all have made it and I am happy to call all of you members of Sera pack. I hope I do well in caring out my duties and providing you with a safe and happy home here." He started, "Also, I know most of you have been waiting for this...I will be assigning ranks tonight." He spoke, his voice was clear and held a strong demenor to it.

Shinraisei's fluffy ears swiveled in the direction of the Alpha. He couldn't help but feel a welling wave of pride and excitement enter his heart. He was honestly excited, and completely trusted the Alpha to make the best choice he could. It didn't matter to him if her were a warrior, or a hunter, or something higher.

Artemis' tail wagged happily. "Ooh! This is it!"

Apollo looked over at the large boulder with the Alpha on top. He curled his tail over his back and padded to the meeting, getting there at the end of the Alpha's first sentence and noiselessly sitting next to his sister.

"Psst! Hey! What did I miss?" he asked earnestly.

"So? Will he? I'd like to find out a little more about what he's like. If this takes too long he might get suspicious." Frost raised herself back onto her feet and stretched a little. There was a wicked gleam in her eye."Besides, I want to see if I can mess around with his mind a little bit and have some fun. Hey, stop that! It tickles." Chibi had started to make a tiny snow-lemming on Frost's back.

Ignoring his mistress completely, Chibi kept rolling small balls of snow around, making snow-lemmings. He looked disappointed as Frost's writhing around crumbled his tiny snow creatures.

Atra waited regally for her assignment. She had been the first wolf to join the pack, and was excited to finally get a rank. She hoped it would be something good...she had been trying to control her dark urges recently. Atra held in her breath in anticipation.

Zorr looked down on his anxious group, "Now remember, these are not permanent. If I find you suited in another ranking, I will change it." He said, addressing the crowd. He felt the rising moon bring an eerie light over the group of wolves before him. "Atra, my longest pack member, I want you to be a warrior. Your strong-willed heart and tough matched skills are needed in this. Do you accept this?" He asked, standing up tall and raising his head up high to look down at the darkness wolf. Thor's gaze turned to the wolf, eyeing her and giving a nod of his head in approval with Zorr. He would watch her carefully, for she had much more potential in herself.

Atra smiled with pride and stood. "Zorr, my alpha, i will serve this position dutifully and faithfully. I accept my place as a warrior," She said, barely visible in the dark. She opened her wings in excitement and howled a thank-you to Zorr. Jace flew in happy circles around her head. She bowed gracefully to Zorr and took her seat again. The sudden movement had made her a bit dizzy, but the night was helping her gain strength.

Zorr

Zorr's eyes grew bright with happiness at Atra accepting her position, she seemed quite thrilled with this. He dipped his head to Atra before scanning the wolves once more, looking for his next member: Eli. He wasn't there, so when the wolf came he would announce his ranking when the wolf arrived.

His eyes fell over to the siblings, Apollo and Artemis. He would address Apollo, first. "My fellow member, Apollo." He started, gazing intently at the other fire wolf. He didn't talk much to the wolf, but something inside of him helped guide Zorr in making his decision. "I would like you to work hard and show your true power as a Sera Warrior. Do you accept this rank?" He asked, looking sternly at Apollo, awaiting the wolf's answer.

The fire brute grinned widely. "Hell yeah I accept. I don't think any wolf, and I mean any wolf, would wanna mess with these bad boys." he gloated, stretching and flexing his arm and shoulder muscles. He flashed a bright grin to Frost because, hey, chicks dig warriors. Just for show, he stretched upwards and blew a tongue of flame from his mouth.

Artemis rolled her eyes. Typical her twin would get the warrior seat. That seemed that that was all he was good for-fighting, expecially in the day light.

Shinraisei's ear twitched in the direction of the wolf. He seemed a bit full of himself, but all in good humor.

Zorr held a chuckle in his throat at the newly made warrior. "And I hope no wolf does." He commented in a cool voice. He shook his head before glancing besides him over to Artemis.

"Now, it is your sister's turn." He called out, looking fondly at the water wolf, "You have shown much care to this pack," He started, wanting to make her a healer but knowing she would want to be out and about, rather than sitting around and just healing the sick. He dipped his head to her, "You have, also, shown fine skills that I believe will make you a wonderful hunter." He commented, looking down. She would, also, make a nice warrior but the pack needed some hunters and he knew that she would do well at it for now. "Do you accept this current ranking that I have given you?" He asked her, looking down trying to read her emotion.

Artemis bowed her head politely. "Thank you, Zorr. I accept and I will use my speed and agility to bring down many animals." she said, bowing her head again. She was just glad she was not made a warrior, like her brother. Strength was not her gift, but speed and planning were.

Zorr nodded, he was glad that he put enough thought to have all the wolves appreciate their new rank. He was worried that someone wouldn't have liked it. He turned his gaze to the white wolf besides Artemis. "Frost," He started in a louder voice, hoping that she would actually listen to the meeting rather than talk to Artemis about some nonsense. He wouldn't bring it up in front of the pack, it would be unfair to her. "I believe that you will be skilled in speed and perfect for helping take down large prey. I would like you to be a hunter of Sera, do you accept this and wish to help feed the members of this pack?" He asked, sternly. Thor shifted back and forth on Zorr's shoulder as his legs grew numb as they almost fell asleep.

Frost turned to face Zorr, startled and blushed. "Um... Uh... Thank you uh, Zorr. I accept and I will use my um, speed to er, help this clan as best I can." She tried copying Artemis as well as she could without saying the exact same thing. She dipped her head respectfully. Mentally she kicked herself. 'Arrrghh I should really pay more attention to what's happening around me.'

Zorr looked over at the ice wolf, knowing she was always nervous probably due to speaking aloud in front of the pack. He nodded his head, Artemis seemed happy with his desicion. He looked over to his newest member, Shinraisei and let out a gentle smile but knew that this wolf would be able to see his expression. "Shinraisei," He called out, looking down at the wolf, "You have shown swiftness and quietness, perfect for hunting. I don't want to see you get even more harmed to make you retired off to the elders so soon." He explained in a soft voice. "So, I hope you don't mind with the ranking of a hunter. Do you accept?" He asked, strongly looking at Rai as if he was a regular wolf that's voice would come in a distant direction.

She grapped Vishu and ran to the meeting she was late but she had to go.She ran her white coat a little ruffled and dirty.Her big blue eye's wide with a apoligetic look.She slid in line next to Atra and Vishu scrambled over to her and licked her.

He head heard the howl and followed after Atra.Hie heavy metal coat slowing him down.He got there his fur jingling softly as he walked to be with the rest of the wolves.

Rai's ears flicked at the Alpha's words. A hunter? That was better than a warrior, at least, and he wouldn't get hurt any more than he had to. He didn't want to see what another wolf-fight like the one he had years ago would do to his already mangled body. He spread his torn wings wide, and sat up a little straighter. The owl next to him hopped onto his shoulder. "Alpha Zorr, we accept your placing as the greatest honor." Both of them bowed their heads simutaneously. The wings closed without any noise, as they were like the feathers of an owl, very soft. Shinraisei then let his mind wander about his new placing. He knew how to hunt, but he didn't do it very often.
