A heavy sigh heaved from the lips of a wary she-wolf roaming the sandy flatlands before her. Her name was Arcane, a young wolf heavily aware of the crulety of the world. A soul wolf of only 2 years, Arcane was riddled with scars, even missing her left ear as well. Her body was heavily furred, but beneath was a half starved wolf with a hunger unlike any other.
"Ow-OWW!" A small voice squeaked out of the gloom somewhere beside her.
Arcane let her amber gaze float over towards a small fruit bat, wallowing after a fall from a nearby cactus. "The foliage bites out here, you know." She huffed at Gar, a small hint of amusement in her features.
"Aw quiet you!" He snapped back in a creaky voice as he began pulling small thorns out of his stomach.
"Make me." She growled playfully before trotting off, attempting to leave her shadow behind. Arcane ignored his squeaks for her to come back, and quickened her pace. However, her escape from her Helper was short lived as she caught her back foot in a rummbling tumbleweed and tripped. She fell hard, the dead thing smashing partially under her weight as she hit. All in all, Arcane's exhaustion and hunger came back to her, making her head spin with the onset dehydration as well. Instantly the world swirled about, and soon the desert slipped from her sight. Arcane drifted into darkness, unaware of how much danger loomed about at her condition.

Jayce hopped off of Karan's back when she came to a stop. It would have looked pretty odd if anyone else saw a green wolf happily jump off of a huge lioness's back. He then took a look around at the new land. He sniffed around, it was pretty dry and hot. But it looked like it might be cool to explore. He then looked to his Shape-shifter friend. "Well, what now?...you wanna go exploring?" He asked as he started to move through the very tall grass that tickled his green shoulders.
OOC: lol it was have looked odd no matter what she had shifted into
Karan
She stretched out her back, never having anyone ride on her before. "You're welcome, by the way. I don't just give rides out to most wolves." She looked out the ocean of tall grass before going into it herself "Well sure that's what we came to do anyways, right?" For some reason, she started thinking that there was some kind of land shark in the grass. This gave her a fun idea as she looked to Jayce with a devious smile.
Gar skittered through the sand as he tried to get a running start before trying to fly after Arcane. He saw her get farther, then came to a halt as she fell. "ARCANE!" The small bat screeched, eyes as wide as ever. Before he knew it instinct took over and he was flying a few feet from the earth, speeding up to reach her. He landed roughly beside her, his wings turning every which way as he moved to climb up on her. He crawled up and towards her head, trying to look and see if she was awake. The thin wolf that cared for him so long now was out cold. Gar pulled at her ears and fur with small claws, trying to wake her. "Come on! You've got to get up!" He yelled in her ear, then fell as he lost his grip. The small fruit bat shook sand off him, then moved towards her face. He sniffed at her, unhappy. Fear welled up in him. Gar knew she needed help, but he couldn't help her now. The bat screeched loudly in fret and alarm, then skittered a few feet from Arcane, looking around. Water, he need to get to some water. Seeing nothing that could suffice, he hung his head, thinking. Then Gar's left ear pricked up. He looked towards the sound he heard. Not too far off was the grassy place they had went through before getting hear. Shivering, he listened harder, then heard something that sounded like voices. Looking to Arcane, he began to slink off towards the tall sea of grass. Of course he was scared to what he may find, but what if they were friendly and could help. Deciding to go take a risk, Gar launched himself into the air and flew. He gained altitude, taking a safe refuge of about 10 feet above the tall golden tussels and spikey green of plant life below. It took a little while, but he found himself diving into the grass the moment he saw too figures. "Help!" The bat squeeled in a horribly sharp pitch a few feet from a wolf and lion. He landed hard, and soon Gar realized he was tangled in the grass. He struggled, then went silent as he waited, hoping greatly that they were friendly.

His ears shifted when he heard a little voice cry out for help. He then noticed a little fruit bat looking very panicked and frantic. Jayce was always one willing to help. He figured the bat was a helper of some sort, their wolf must have been in trouble. "Calm down little man...Now..tell us what's going on...is someone in danger?" He asked the bat. He then looked at Karan to see if she was willing to go along and help this poor creature.
She sighed quietly in her mind when the little bat ruined her plan. It didn't matter that much though because if someone was in serious it was worth it. She nodded at what Jayce said "Yeah tell us. We'd be happy to help if we can."
Gar watched them, huge ears back and bug eyes wide as he listened. He was twitching slightly, but he suddenly blinked a few times at their words. They were friendly it seemed, and with a burst of energy the small bat untangled his wings from the spiney tussels of grass and looked up at them. "A-A-Arcane." Gar stuttered, trying to steady his voice. "Arcane passed out. She needs much help. C-come, come." The flying fox bat squeaked fearfully as he crawled through the blades, huge compared to his size. Soon Gar found the small path he and his wolf left earlier and he hopped along it awkwardly.

He followed the little bat and he motioned for Karan to come along. He wove in and out of the tall blades of grass. He then saw the black female wolf laying on the ground and she looked in pretty bad shape. He rushed over to her side, he figured her name was Arcane since that's what was the little bat was saying. "Arcane...Can you hear me?" He asked as he shook her a little. She looked like she needed some water or something to eat. He sniffed the air to see if there was any water around, but it was Summer and in a dry place like this it was probably nearly impossible.
Gar darted through the rough blades until he reached Arcane's sides. Her sides were still rising and falling, but very slowly. He was relieved, but still worried. The small bat looked up at the green wolf, his big bug eyes pleading.
Arcane let out a long growl, and her ears went back, but she said nothing. She twitched, but soon she relaxed again, her ears flicking forwards.
"Arcane??" Gar squeeked, moving to examine her face. When he realized she was still unconscious, he put his ears back. "Just h-her nightmares. She n-not awake." Gar looked at her, hoping and thinking, then his eyes lit up with an idea. "I c-can f-f-fly and find water. But cannot c-carry b-back." The small mammal said, look of hopefulness in his eyes. "T-theres bound t-t-to be something."

She nodded to the little bat and spoke in a gentle voice since he seemed to be nervous as it is "That's okay. You find the water and we'll worry about getting it to her." She then turned to Jayce and looked between him and Arcane. "Do you think we could move her?"
Gar turned his big eyes on Karan as she spoke, her gentle tone calming him slightly. "A-Ah ok-k." He said as he scittered off, looking back every so often at Arcane with the others. He hoped they really could help. Gar wanted nothing more than to have his wolf back, however foul she may be. The bat finally stopped looking over his shoulder and jumped to take flight. At first he thought he miscalculated and wouldnt make it, but soon he was soaring. He went higher and higher until he had a good view of the plains. Gar swooped around for what seemed like forever before he spotted a sandy spot with what looked to be a hole. 'Watering hole!' He thought as he dove for it quickly. He landed lightly at the edge of what seemed to be a pond or spring. The rim was hot and cracked, same as the bottom it seemed. Gar sighed loudly as he lost a bit of hope. "Fi-gures." The bat huffed, letting his gaze lazily scan the bottom. Thats when a small mouse caught his attention. At the deeper end there was a little tan mouse, doing something rather particular. Gar crawled down the dry side and skittered towards the rodent, but kept his distance as to not scare it away. He watched it closely as it took some of what looked to be mucky liquid from the bottom of the deep end and slurped it up off its little forpaws. It took Gar awhile of watching, but it finally dawned on him. Might not be much of a spring anymore, but there was a little bit of moisture left. And who knew what would happen if they dug right there! Excited, Gar took to the skies again and flew back towards the others.

He lead the two females to the Prairie. He weaved in and out of the tall dry grass. He could easily set all of this on fire and at that thought he smirked. "So, we're here..." He said as he sat near some thorny bushes. "So, You wanted to hear my story?" He asked with a groan. "So how'd she get that gash on her neck?" He asked Camilla.
(Yes, I'm also playing Tarin on this Board, I'm waiting for Metal's charrie to come over too)
Jayce
He looked over at Karan, "I dunno, We could try...I just don't want to hurt her if we move her though.." He told her. "She looks pretty fragile." He added. "But it's the only choice we have." He told her. "How should we do this?" He asked.
((Ohhhh, ok then^-^ Yeah, I was waiting for Metalclaw too...Well Im glad I asked, I hate being confuzzled lol Will post when Metal gets around here, dun want to spam the thread anymore than this...))

She looked around at the tall grass and stretched "It's pretty nice out here. Props to you Tarin." She looked to Tahlia to see if she was okay before looking back to the male. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. Don't want you to get too emotional." At the mention of her friend's wound she took a moment to flex her paw feeling the tear throb to see if she still could. "When I first met her she was being chased by some creepy wolf in the mountains. I helped her escape and he followed into the forest where he got the jump on us and got her by the neck."
Karan
She looked up at the sky to see if the little bat was coming back then at the female wolf on the ground. She stood silently so she could think but only one plan came to mind "I could change into something tiny, crawl under, and slowly shift into something big enough to carry her?"
He looked at her and nodded. "Yes, great Idea." he told her. he then smiled. "You're so smart." he added. But then went to serious mode again. "Okay letms get going we don't want this wolf to die." he told her sternly. He wished his element was more helpful to other's like hers was. it seemed like his was only made for destruction.
Tarin "See, I told you guys." he said with a chuckle. "Why thank you." he said with a bow. "Wow that sounds intense..."He said as he looked over at Tahlia who was resting in the tall grass. "Well, yeah Imd rather not talk about it anyways." he grumbled. "So, where are you guys from? are you from a pack around here or something?" he asked.
((Ooc:: Oh, I apologize as well, you two. Ive been very very busy @_@))
Gar had finally made it back to the others, and this time lightly landed perfectly in the tall grass next to Arcane. He watched her face, which twitched slightly, and then went closer to Jayce. The small bat seemed more relaxed now, and his eyes were big and bright with happiness. "Water, not w-way too far, b-but quite a walk." He reported, then looked to Karan. "C-can you two do it? Can y-you help her?" Gar asked, his ears back as he waited for them to speak.

As they made it to the prarie, Medusa took a moment to breath in and take a breath, a bit tired from the exploring. "Here we are." She said, seeing the vast clearing. Off in the distance there was a group of wolves huddled around something.. perhaps food. It gave Medusa hope, and she looked down to her son.
"Now, I will give you one task:" She said, Suddenly reaching out, grabbing a group of dead yellow grass and placing it on Tyrions tail. As it lit into flames she tossed it out infront of them, watching as the grass caught on fire and began to spread rapidly.
"Control it." She said,
"I want it all gathered into one area, NOW!" She said, as if this was a drill. She wanted him to learn how to control fire in the most dangerous places of all, and this was one of them.
He heard the crackling of burning brush and he turned around. It looked like some wolves were setting the prairie on fire. "We gotta get her to water quick!" he said as he bent down and started to put the weak she-wolf on his back. "Show us where that water is little guy!" Jayce barked at her helper.
Gar sniffed the air at the burning faint burning smell and crackling, but was a bit puzzled on where it was coming from. However, he leapt backwards and into flight as the male wolf yelled. The bat jolted to one side, hovering, then darted back above the grass, making sure to stay in their sight as he led the way. "T-this way!" He screeched hastily. Arcane remained asleep, but snarled and growled as she was moved. It was just in her dreams though.

He was able to put the small female on his back. He followed the little bat and moved away from the fire and towards the water. When he got there he hoped Karan was behind them He wouldn't want his best friend getting hurt either. He gently put the she wolf down by the water. "Should I open her mouth?" he Asked Gar.
Gar was a bit glad they got there as quickly as they did. The hurry from the scare must have made it so. The small bat landed down in the mostly dry lake bed, down near the small spot of water that was left in the hot summer. He watched as Jayce carried Arcane closer and set her down. Gar looked up at him with wide eyes, shaking his head slowly. "Oh no. If s-she were t-to wa-ake, she would most likely b-bite something off of a s-stranger." The small flying mammal said, stuttering, but clearly. He hoped over to his master's head and pried her jaws open with his tiny claws. It seemed like strenuous work, and Arcane was growling subconciously at him, but he managed to part her mouth. Gar scooped what he could in his tiny hand like paws and dripped it in Arcane's mouth, but it was always a little more than a few drops. Calming, he finally got up the courage to speak without stuttering as he said. "Thank you." He told the wolf as he kept dripping water into Arcane's ajar maw over and over. Arcane twitched and lapped unknowing at the liquid being poured into her mouth, a few droplets at at time. The sensation of it brought her to somewhat. Her eyes blinked open, and she winced as she felt achy. The small black she wolf looked up with one eye droggily, seeing Gar drip the water in her mouth. He seemed a bit frozen as she began to stir though, but soon he grinned down at her as he saw her looking up at him. Arcane was about to say something when she suddenly saw another being very close. Being the hostile wolf she was, Arcane snarled and stood up quickly. Too quickly. Her head spun a bit, and soon after she stood up and bristled at the green male wolf, Arcane's legs buckled under her. She recovered mentally when the dizzy spell passed and Arcane bared her teeth up at the strange male, but stayed laying down. Gar nearly jumped out of his skin with Arcane's reaction. He huffed noisily, trying to get his courage up to stop Arcane. When he did, she had fell back down, but her stubborness and untrusting nature still was at play. "Arcane." He squeaked, scurrying to her side again. "He helped you."

He raised a brow at how this wolf started to go all crazy on him. "Uh, yeah...I kinda saved you." he told her as he took a few steps back. He looked back at Karan. Then back at the hostile black wolf. "I'm Jayce..." he told her.
Arcane, still a bit untrustful of the male, and the other wolf behind him, bared her fangs still. However, as the male spoke, and backed off, she calmed slightly, and put her head down slightly, looking up at the two strangers. "Gar, explain." She huffed, not taking her eyes off the others. "Arcane, t-they helped me get y-you to water after you fell and w-went unconscious!" The small bat squeaked quickly, trying to make Arcane believe them. Her eyes snapped to Gar after what he said, and she narrowed her eyes at him. The look on his face as he trembled before her told her that he was telling the truth. Slowly the small female sat up, her body heaving slightly. She looked on at the others, then let her piercing eyes lie fully on the male. "Hn...Tell me Jayce. Why save me?" Arcane asked, a bit skeptical any wolf would out of the kindness of their heart.

He gave her a look when she was quick to question his actions. The truth was Jayce didn't have an ellaberate reason on why he saved her life. He was just a caring wolf and cared about his fellow wolf until proved otherwise. "Uhh because you were on the verge of dying?" He told her as he stepped back. "But It looks like you're gonna be okay so I think I'll leave you alone now if that's what you want." He told the strange black she wolf.
As his mother set fire to the grass he immediately loved the heat, he wished it could stay burning forever. As she barked at him to control it his tail swished through the air and as it came back to rest it made a snapping sound. The flames collected into a huge ball that was burning in the middle of the plains. It was the best he could do, he then pulled the fire back towards him. He didn't really know how to contain it but hopefully she would teach him.
She didn't share his element, and so she would only have to do her best to help him learn.
"Thats good, concentrate my son. It is within your heart that you control your fire, as I do my acid. Believe in it, think about what you want done. It seems you use your tail to control the fire, perhaps try different flicks or movements to see what happens, and then learn to control it to your advantage. I want you to create something with this fire. Create a figure that looks like a monster, rather than a ball. Try to move the fire to look like it's alive. Try to make a larger fire version of you, it will be a good technique." She thought for a moment, watching him carefully as she was ready to spit her acid on top of the fire if it were to go out of control. If she produced a thicker acid, it would extinguish the fire rather than add to it, like a blanket.
"Now, if you flick back your tail fast, I assume you will shrink the fire, as if you do the opposite and push forth, I would assume you would add to it, but I do not know as it is your element, so try a few movements and see what you can do. When you grow tired, extinguish the flames." She ordered, standing tall even if the flames were hot against her body.
He listens his eyes focused on the flames, the light flickered against the golden hue of his eyes and as he began to swish the tip of his tail against the ground the fire began to dart quickly along with the movement. He flicked his tail Upward and the ball shot into the air and hovered there as a giant purple orb. He watched inside the flames and he looked for shapes and as soon as he saw one he willed the fire to change. He stamped his paw and the for burst forth like the globe was exploding. As the flames settled a figure of his mother stood there, proud and detailed as he saw her. The next command was difficult, to move the fire Medusa was tricky and as he attempted it the movements where choppy. He brought the figure back to the ground and he quickly realized the tail was moving with his. He moved a paw and she moved a paw. He was beginning to grow tired but before he was exhausted he let himself fall into a walk the large fire medusa following his proud gait. He then pounced on air but the flame paws closed over a prairie dog and with a flick of his tail the replica evaporated. He then walked to the small mammal and bright it back to his mother.
The female watched carefully, and a smile placed on her face. Her son had done a wonderful job of creating a monster; especially since the monster was none other than his own mother. As he learned to control it, Medusa was impressed about how quickly he figured it out. "Good!" She said, looking down to the prairie dog before grinning to her son.
"Again." She forced onto him, wanting him to practice until he was tired. Once the sun was to set, they would return back home before traveling to a new location, tomorrow. Today though, he would continue to control fire and continue to push himself until he had no energy left.
"Try to catch that bird." She said, "With the fire Medusa." She pointed her nose upwards as a black crow flew by, but she figured it would get away before Tyrion would act out, unless he was quick enough.
-- Edited by Emily on Thursday 6th of June 2013 05:52:33 PM
The wolf sighed but as she ordered he catch the bird a fire replica of his mother began to take place again. He leaped after the bird who was quickly escaping and he jumped and swiped a paw the fire medusa doing the same but her claws just raked the tip of the birds tail and he quickly pounced forward again and used both paws to engulf the bird. He was now breathing hard as the fire Medusa tossed the bird to his mother.
Jayce had wondered away from the two females. He didn't like how hostile the female who he saved was. He didn't tolerate that from others. So he made his way to a different spot when he noticed a very familiar red and black face. "Tarin!" The green wolf said as he ran towards him. He embraced him in a hug. It didn't matter that his sister wasn't with him anymore. Tarin was one of his oldest friends and he cared about the wolf. Tarin hugged jayce back, it made him a little sad because seeing jayce he would think about Kenna. "Hi jayce...what's up?" He said not in the happiest tone. "Oh nothing...I was thinking about going to the beach to visit my mom." Jayce said with a nod. "You wanna come?" He asked his fire Wolf friend. Tarin nodded, "sure why not..." Tarin said with a nod and the two started to walk to the beach.
"...Good." Medusa said, but something seemed to be distracting her. Off in the distance.. it couldn't be. Was it?
"Keep practicing." She ordered, making her way away from the male and towards the lightly colored wolf off in the distance. That whore! She was still alive?
Making her way closer to Tahlia, Medusa held an evil grin swipe across her face. It had been awhile since she last used her deadliest acid, and Xavier would be more than proud to find this prize while they were gone.
"Tahlia." Medusa called, at a running pace now. She was running straight towards the female, and there was no where she could run. Medusa was going to get that open aim as she opened her mouth up, waiting to fire before double checking to ensure it was the right wolf...
no sense in killing the wrong enemy..
-- Edited by Emily on Monday 17th of June 2013 11:23:07 PM
There was no way he could focus on the bird with his mother sprinting so angrily towards another wolf. The fire medusa vanished and he took off after her, he felt the heat of battle warm his insides. His mother was a spectacle to see when she was angry. He loved watching her fight because he could always keen something new.
She awoke when she heard her name, she was still fairly weak from the last injury she had gotten from Akri since she lost so much blood. Her eyes opened and then noticed Medusa coming towards her. She had nowhere to run, there was no doubt that Medusa would catch her since she didn't have much energy. "M-Medusa..." She stammered as she stood there like a deer caught in headlights.
Medusa sprinted towards her, claws pushing dirt behind her as she pressed her way towards the enemy.
Dead or alive? Was that what Xavier told Akri? What she told Akri? Who cares, at this point. Tahlia had escaped, and a lesson needed to be taught.
"Going to kill you just like I killed your stupid boyfriend." She snarled, throwing herself towards the electric wolf with her fangs bared, a purple mixed with blue liquid dripping from her teeth, deadly, for the matter. It was a mix she rarely used, but for only certain situations. Although it took up much of her strength, and not only that, there was a counterattack on herself, Medusa didn't care. She had one open shot, and she took it.
Digging her teeth into Tahlia's neck Medusa released her acidic venom, squeezing her jaws tight to press into Tahlias blood stream. It was only a 50/50 shot Medusa would successfully break the correct artery into Tahlias neck to get the toxins perfectly into her blood, so she could only hold her grip.. and wait for the struggling to stop.
"Marcus!?" She yelped after Medusa's words, she didn't care if Medusa ripped her to shreds at this point, Marcus was dead and there was no use living anymore, Marcus was her world, her everything and he was gone. So she didn't run or hide she stood her ground as Medusa latched on to her neck. She let out a yelp as the blue and purple liquid entered her blood stream quickly. She could no longer breath even though she tried and tried to get a gasp of air and then she died shortly.
Her grip never loosened until Tahlia's body was of no more. Her fur on the back of her neck was still raised, and her large muscles made it easy to lift her head back up, turning to look back at her son. Walking over to him with Tahlia hanging from her jaws, Medusa dropped the female at his feet and stared at him.
"Any wolf that leaves the pack, is dead to Inferno." She explained.
"Let's go home. Grab the food, I need to speak with Xavier."
Her pupils were large and her focus was not on anything else but the venom she had used. It was a strong and lethal amount, which had some nasty side effects and Medusa wanted to get back before the issues began to happen. Picking Tahlia up once again, Medusa led the way home, not waiting for Tyrion, and not slowing her speed. He would catch up, his youth was an advantage.
