"It seems everyone is." Dante replied with a gloomy undertone. Dante looked about him, any wolf that he noticed in the distance all appeared to look skeletal. Were they all living skeletons? He straightened up at her question. His mouth went agape, trying to quickly have an explanation himself. There was nothing. "Wish I could tell you, Kori. I'm not sure...I felt something strange as soon as you came forward, then next thing I know, I was somewhere else." He tried to explain the best he could, but he didn't even know the answer himself. "Wait, you were there?" Dante asked, completely confused.
She listened to him her eyes looking to the other wolves in the back ribs and pelvises all stickin out. She looked away sadly before saying "I wasn't there, I saw it too." She figured he was mildly co fused so she said "In a psychic wolf. I can hear and see your thoughts and everyone around me." She let her eyes lock onto his "Sometimes I can get visions of the future like that I can suggest thoughts an make wolves think things that they wouldn't think otherwise."
She nodded to her mate, shrugging a bit. "They are pretty much apprentices, might as well give them ranks. What would you like to do with your sons? Shall we have a battle for the throne of beta? Might as well keep our lines at the head ranks, I feel as though Hibari may make a great beta, as Hidan would be better in the head warrior ranks, or Hidan as beta, and Hibari as head hunter. What do you think?" She asked, wondering what her mate thought of the future of Ronoh. She was positive her daughter would take the Alpha ranks, especially with this spy mission coming up, nothing doubted her that her daughter would succeed, or so she hoped.
She reached out to place a paw on her mates, knowing he was moreso stubborn and didn't want to retire.
"don't think of it as retiring, but more so.. watching over our pups and making sure they make good Alphas before we die, so we know the pack is in good hands. Wouldn't you rather see them do good, then die on the spot and make them fight for the head ranks? You little girl might not survive a fight against the pack, if they all were to gang up on her for the throne.. but if we already gave it to her.. what would they do?" She suggested, knowing Karasu could very well take on a wolf one on one, but to take on a whole pack for alpha position took a lot of effort she didn't think any of her pups could handle..
Kenpachi ~+~ Still growling to himself, Kenpachi made a face. "When I was her age, I could talk on a pathetically-sized pack like this with one eye shut." He had taken a lot of crap for this job, so he wasn't too keen on giving it up just yet.
"Humph. If Hidan's anything like me, a Head Warrior rank would be good for him. Afterall, if Zane were still here, and was alpha, that's where I would be. He's powerful, and his element is both unique and deadly once he learns to control it. Imagine it! With my size and strength, combined with whatever element others can throw at him...!" The alpha grinned at that thought. "He'll be unbeatable."
"And Hibari...He's a scared little thing, but he wouldn't be as prone to fighting it out like our other pups." It was a trait that Kenpachi both admired and despised about him. He didn't have the bone of violence that the other ones had. But he knew from experience that not everything was accomplished through fighting. "He seems like he'll be a peacemaker. Like Naomi."

"Ah I know, you're mother. Oh, she's quite the handful." He chuckled, following after the pair and waiting quietly while another female showed up.
"Well, it seems we will be needing to find some food, and I just know the perfect place, especially since your mother is out on an important mission." It seemed Akemi's mind was jumping too and fro, not really taking in the harsh words Dante was saying, as though Yami's mixed element tuned into his, making words go "in one ear and out the other".
"Well, we will have to change this certain mess of Mother not allowing me to be a father." Akemi explained, a smile on his face, which was almost always creepy. "As your father, I, Akemi, will be honored to learn about you, and not to mention, I am quite the fighter, might I add? Fighting is merely filled with love and happiness, and one cannot go wrong with such a valuable thing." He explained, feeling his heart beating happily as though life was so wonderful, and everything around it was as well.
The female came crawling over to Akemi, panting. She was in a mean mood and was nonetheless annoyed at the male. Sitting in front of him, she raised up a paw and smacked him straight in the muzzle. It caught Akemi off guard, sending him right to the ground in an instant.
"I TOLD YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM YOUR CHILDREN!" She shouted, "DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON SUCH PATHETIC PIECES OF CRAP!"
Akemi lifted himself, shaking off the blow as he stared at Yami in an off sort of way. "Now now, don't talk of these majestic pups in such a horrid way, that's not very nice now, is it?"
Yami just growled, lifting up a paw to send a flash of light covered in Akemi's darkness, towards his way.
Akemi quickly lifted a shield of darkness covered in light, only to block his sister from such a brutal and unneeded attack.
While this all went on, a flash of blue surrounded the pair and they both immediately got sent to the ground. Both of them laid there, silently.
The female was at a stand still as this so called father figure came approaching. She looked at her brother, proud of his words but still thrown off as it didn't seem to effect their father.
"Dante.."She whispered, collecting herself and making her way to his side.
"I.. I think he's serious." She nudged him, looking over at Kori as well as her face of shock was evident. Did they really have a father? And.. was he really.. actually caring? An overwhelming feeling over came her, and for once she felt a strange feeling in her heart she couldn't quite describe. After much neglect from not only her family but many other figures in her life, here she stood thinking she only had her father when she was learning it was her mother who had kept her from this wolf?
She shook her head, looking too the ground. In an instant her head shot up and she looked at Aunt Yami. Why was she acting so strange? Her ears dropped as the female called her a name, and she looked over to Dante, normally covering her emotions quite well but now looking quite upset, especially due to her weakness in her stomach. Blaire stood up at the explosion, stepping back a bit as she felt off about the whole situation.
"What's going on?!" She asked, unknowingly wrapping her tail around her brother as she felt uneasy about the whole situation. For once in her life, she wanted his guidance about something. Typically she hid her emotions and never showed fear, but this was actually scaring her, and it was almost too obvious it was.
He looked at Kori as if she was from a different planet. "You can do all that?" He asked, then tilted his head. "Wow. So, I did see the future? Maybe I am psychic too!" His tail lifted up as he felt maybe that he'd have his element like his close friend.
He heard a small buzz as Blaire approached in his head, but Dante figured it was the flies that were around them. "There's hope that he might....but do we really want to know who our father is?"He asked, suddenly a part of him didn't want to know. What would it change? It was easier to hate their father without knowing as opposed to putting a face and seeing them roam around the pack without a care for either of them.
Dante suddenly felt a dark presence start to take over again as Akemi followed after them. His eyes narrowed as his fur fluffed up in irritation. He just wanted to be away from the wolf now. Ignoring most of the rambling that he was going on. After the creepy smile, no wonder his mother didn't want them near him. He was probably crazy, delusional. Who knows? Dante had never met this wolf before.
"Stop saying you're our father!" Dante snapped, his fur quivering until Blaire's facial expression was enough to make him stop. His eyes shot over as Yami arrived, glad that she was here, maybe to set the record straight. Children? So, this wolf could be telling the truth?
The next part stung deeply into the wolf, causing him to visibly flinch. One of the wolves that he thought cared the most for him had turned on them, thought they were nothing and a waste of space. Dante's tail caught Blaire's. Who else that cared about him felt the same way? Dante stood besides his sister, "No matter what happens, we have each other, Blaire." Dante tried to comfort her, but he too was having a troublesome time. He had to be strong for them, thankfully, this element of darkness was aiding in it.
As the two wolves quarreled in front of him, Dante squinted his eyes as the light was getting too much for him. He pushed Blaire before knocking into Kori. "Go." He ordered to get her away, seeing her fearful face. They had to get out of here. His face was opposite of his sister, completely void of emotion and blank.
She looked to her brother, silently as he mentioned wanting to even know their father.
"I wanted to know who he was." She admitted, "But, what if he's better than mother? What if he speaks the truth? What if.. what if he can be a father we never had?" She shook her head.
"Or.. it could be lies." She didn't know what to believed. Most of her wanted that father figure, but she was partial to siding with her brother. Her eyes pinned on her 'father' and aunt as they continued to lay there motionlessly. She wondered what would happen, and she stood tall, pushing against her brothers attempt to rid her from the situation. "No. Wait. Look!" She said, watching as their aunt and 'father' had begun to move.
Akemi & Yami
The light and dark wolf were both motionless for some time, until they both seemed to twitch and stir together. Akemi was the first to raise his head, looking around as he attempted to figure out what was going on, and where he was. Seeing his sister lying on the ground, he immediately stood and looked over her, before turning to look at a pair of wolves, who he seemed to recall to be the ones Dezera said were his.
Before he could open his mouth, a voice was heard behind him.
"Akemi.. I think it happened again." Her voice was frail, and she was shaking with a mixture of emotions. Standing up, she walked to her brothers side, and looked over at the pups.
"Hello little ones, or.. well, not so little ones any more. You guys are practically teens, are you not?" She smiled to them happily, not wanting to scare them any more than she probably already had.
"Now, I want to ask you both something." She didn't know Akemi wasn't being a father to the pups, and so she spoke normally and as though there was no hidden drama.
"Your father and I have some issues where our elements switch and we take on each others personalities. We can't control this, and it's rather scary.. I turn into your father, and he turns into me. He can't help but tell the truth and I can't help but be a jerk.. It's a horrible curse, but we can't help it. Now, I don't remember what's happened.. but, would you guys mind telling me what just happened to us? Was this the case?" She smiled to them, but it was a sad smile as she noticed they too, were skinny from the famine.
Akemi let out a low growl.
"I'm not their father."
The light wolf looked over at Akemi as if he was stupid.
"What? Akemi. Don't be an idiot. This is Blaire and Dante, your pups. You know better than anyone else that these are yours, I mean, look at them. They look just like you. Not to mention, well.." She looked to the pups.
"We won't get into that."
Akemi turned to glare at Yami, but he knew if he spoke, he would be interrupted once again.
He stared blankly at Blaire, Dante felt bad from her turn of optimism. He, on the other hand, was a realist. If the wolf hadn't been apart of their first year and half of life, there was no way he'd get involved as they became adults. As Blaire's words stopped him, Dante turned away and was about to walk away. This was all too much for him.
As Yami returned to sweetly talking to them, Dante wasn't buying it. The damage was done for now. What was the truth and what was a lie. "Enough has happened. Ask the others, I'm not explaining." He spat at his Aunt, swinging his tail around causing shadows to swirl out of his tail. Dante stormed off in anger. He just needed to be by himself now. Too much had happened.
Koris heart sank as she was knocked into and Dante became well Dante again, she sighed as he walked away. It made her sad seeing her niece and nephew like this. She would go get them food and bring it to them and leave since he wanted to be alone "Blaire I'm going to get you guys some food okay?" She smiled gently at the wolf, her optimism towards her potential father was bright as she knew in a moment it would snuffed out.
ooc: Question: Why are all of Sarah-based icons going berserk? Does anyone else see that?
bic: Bushido ~+~ After many, many days of constant walking with little-to-no rest, the large yearling was practically sleepwalking. He had gotten into a slight scuffle a few days back, and where his thick fur had been ripped out, patches of scabs and dried blood could be seen. Not to mention the large blade on his back was slowly increasing in weight until it seemed almost unbearable. And so Bushido swayed back and forth as he wandered further and further into Ronoh.
Bleary eyes seemed to brighten as the familiar smell of ice and cold welcomed his nostrils. Bleary as his mind was, he could only think of home, and instinctually wandered towards it, Stumbling across an ice-encrusted den, the elementalless wolf gave an appreciative sigh and entered. As he shuffled to the back of the save, he held one side of his body pressed against the cool of the rock, and his mind was instantly home in the glaciers near the top of the world. Almost smiling to himself, he did his best to curl up, subconsciously orienting himself so his sword wouldn't get stuck, and properly fell asleep.

She looked back and fourth, from her aunt to her father, to her brother. As her brother seemed unhappy, it made her feel uneasy and she just nodded silently, to no one. She heard voices, but it seemed she couldn't focus enough energy to figure out what was going on.
Seeing her brother walk off, and Kori mention food, she blankly nodded at Kori and darted after her brother.
"Just.. just leave us alone you.. you.. mean mean wolves!" She shouted to Yami and Akemi,
"You're... You aren't family.. You're... You are jerks!" She said, and as she darted away she sunk next to her brother, shadows covering them as her element took place over her emotions. The shadows were freaking herself out, even though she was making them herself she thought it was a trick. Snuggling close to her brothers side she looked around, seeing the world as though it was white outlines in a black world, as she and her brother were covered with darkness unable to be seen by eyes of the world. "Dante.." She whispered, "Don't ever leave me again."
Yami& Akemi
Her eyes dropped in sadness, along with her jaws as the pups walked off. Oh, this was terrible, just just terrible. She would need some help on this. She desperately wanted to make it up to the pups, but what had she done? She was so, so confused. Seeing the wolf that was still around, she turned to Akemi with a mean look before darting over to Kori.
"You have to help... what did we say? What did we do? I don't know how to fix this mess when I have no memory of what went on... could you help?" She pleaded Kori, tears forming in her eyes as she felt like she had lost some of her family. "I don't want my niece and nephew to hate me... please help..."
Akemi watched them go, sticking his nose to the air in a snottish way. He wanted nothing to do with those brats, they stole Dezera from him. He'd never forgive them for that. If anything, he would only train them as a mentor, not a father, for it was his duty as head warrior.
Speaking of warrior duties... enough of this drama.
Akemi lifted his maw to the air, calling for warriors to the fighting pit. It was time for some training.
She turned to give a silent glare at Karasu, not saying much. It was risky to make a huge bank off of Sera. They'd be lucky to get away unnoticed, but it appeared they did. As Dezera assisted Kodi into crossing over the border line, Dezera looked around. There was no hassle, no patrols of wolves had passed by or were alerted of them. Maybe it was possible to sneak in again and steal more game. How much could they get away with?
Letting go of the deer, Dezera approached a tree along the borderline and rubbed her fur against it to mark the Ronoh scent. Showing off that they at least had their border's protected or at least creating an act that they did. It seemed they were successful but Dezera's silver eyes gazed upon the Sera's lands from her spot in case a wolf showed up and launched an attack. No doubt, Karasu would go prance on to Mama Lupita to show off 'her' game.
His own shadows from absorbing Akemi's element were still leaking from him, mixing with Blaire's. He paused from walking as his sister snuggled up to his side, looking for comfort. In which case, he would provide. It was just the two of them, she was always at his side.
"I won't, I promise."Dante draped his neck across his sister. "We'll be together, no matter what." He tried to confirm the best he could. He knew that as soon as they started to grow older, they might grow farther away in distance. For now, they were both in the same position and needed his sister; just as much as she needed him. That was if she survived this famine that was happening.
The female nodded and closed her eyes as the male snuggled into her, her element leaking shadows less and less as she seemed to be fading from the world, losing energy from exhaustion.
"...Promise?"
The words were bringing peace to her mind but her body was frail from hunger and the added stress on her right now just wasn't right. She was repeating herself and wasn't quite transmitting what Dante was saying, just knowing he was saying something.. something good. Slumping down it seemed more of her weight was beginning to rely on her brother until she was forced to lie down. Her eyes closed, and she slowed her breathing. At this point, it was to sleep or die. She needed to conserve energy, and her energy was at an edge of life. Blaire let out a dry, airy cough before she was silent, passed out across her brothers paws.

"I guess I should...even though I think she might be mad at me or something." He said with a sigh. "Will you meet me near the river or something later?" He asked. He then listened to Lupita's words. "yes Lupita." he told her. he was hoping that the next mission would be successful. he sighed before walking off sniffing to go find Yami. Then he found her she was talking with Dante, Blaire and Kori. It looked pretty serious but he hoped she would be excited to see him. He put his paws over her eyes as he came up behind her. "Guess who?" He said with a chuckle. He would eat when he got back. He would probably share some of his with her.

Since Braxton and Hibari seemed to be in their own world, and from the distance it seemed like the wolves were returning from the hunt, Kali turned to Hibari and smiled at him.
"Hibari! FOOD!" She said, reaching out to lick him right on the mouth to throw him off, before sprinting off towards Dezera, who was practically her aunt. She turned back behind her shouldar, away from Hibari and Braxton, wondering if either of them would follow, or if Hibari even noticed her motive to make a move on her best friend.
Both him and Dezera carried the deer back to ronoh. The hunt was successful and he hoped that the alpha's would be pleased. He dropped the deer and then looked to Dezera. "Do you want to finish our conversation?" He asked quietly. He wanted to have closure between them. He still cared about her and wanted to work things out, for all of it to be out in the open. After all they were adults and have known each other for long enough to do that.
She turned her gaze over to the silver wolf, watching him for a moment. "We will after they feast and the alphas know about our mission. Besides, I'm sure you want to go see to Yami..."Dezera trailed on, turning her head up as she noticed Yami's daughter bolting toward the food. Speaking of which, where were her own pups? It didn't matter, they were probably off on their own or with one of their other family members.
Dezera lowered herself to sit neatly near the deer, not really having any wolf to go to to announce that she made it home perfectly fine. Aiden was gone, and she knew that he watched her throughout the event. Her bones were sticking out, fur barely clinging onto skin as her ribs protruded.
When Kori ran off, Naomi had quietly left the Ronoh packlands as she carried Aiden's surprisingly light body across the lands back to the Marine Gulf. It was their first meeting place, besides the water. It was good to leave off packlands for a quick breather as she froze Aiden, allowing his body to be taken far out into the Ocean before the sea thawed the ice and swallowed him into his resting place.
Naomi had returned completely out of breath. Her breathing was shallow and her legs were shaking from such an expenditure of energy. Naomi needed to rest, to sleep. Wandering over to her den, her eyes on the ground. She hadn't noticed the large, blue wolf until the scent carried over her way. Her head shot upward as panic flew into her eyes for a moment at the foreign scent, but it seemed familiar.
This time, her eyes widened for another reason. "My Grimmjow? Is that you?"She whispered, breathlessly. Had her son returned? Had he changed his ways and come back to her? Her vision was growing fuzzy, age or tiredness, it didn't matter, she crept closer to the wolf in her den. The color of the fur looked darker, almost the shade of blue that Aiden's was.
The female listened as she heard the others approaching, and not only that, they were very close by. She approached and sat near them, looking over the kill with a very serious face. Not only was she unimpressed, but she was disappointed as well.
"This will not feed everyone." She said, simply.
"You three, take your piece. The rest will go to Kenpachi and I, and all the youngest wolves, as they are the future of Ronoh, the younger they are, the first spot in line they have. Dezera, your pups and Kori are the youngest, when you are finished, bring them food." She ordered, extremely serious.
"Any leftovers will be up for grabs." She explained, "So if you wish to feed someone, I would take it before you leave, there won't be much." She muttered.
"In other terms, I am glad you all returned home safe. We will do this again, tomorrow night. I expect you all to be ready to leave by dusk, no later. Understand?" She said, standing there waiting. "Until then, I order you all to eat and rest, and do nothing extreme. Don't do anything stupid, and save all your energy accordingly. Karasu, you may begin to eat, Dezera and Kodi, follow after." She sat aside, wanting her wolves to be well fed before she was. Kenpachi would be fine, his own muscle would give him an extra day or two before starvation, and if she really wanted too, she could hunt over at the beach.. if she ever found time to get away. But it was a lot of energy, and this was the best plan.
"Promise." Dante confirmed, his voice softening as the shadows started to vanish underneath him. Like Blaire, he didn't have the energy to prolong them to swirl about him in anger. His eyes watched as Blaire started to put more and more weight on to him, which he wasn't able to hold on for long as his own strength was fading. He allowed Blaire to slip down with him to lay besides each other, much like they did as they were pups. He wrapped himself around her, trying to keep her warm while gently licking the top of her head and back of her neck to comfort her.
He wanted to summon himself in the world of dreams, where he was strong and didn't feel pain from lack of food. Where it was warm and he was accepted by his family; other than Blaire and Kori. He wasn't sure about his grandmother, she was always kind but so was Yami until she turned against them. His eyes fluttered, but he refused to give into the sleep calling for him. He needed to make sure Blaire would be okay, to protect her in case something else happened. If that meant pushing himself, then it was something that was needed to be done.
Nearby, it appeared his helper, Clea, was weakly trying to make her way over to the pups. Nile intertwining with her and coaxing her that it'd be fine; they would be fine.
The female nodded as her mother spoke, taking everything very seriously as she could tell her mother was not pleased. Her eyes shifted back and fourth between the two wolves who, for once, were giving no respect. It seemed Kodi wasn't hungry and went off, so she took the advantage, especially because her dibs were first, and decided to break off a whole leg for herself. Using her teeth, the female ripped accordingly, digging into the thigh to her best ability before carrying the feast off into the bushes. Last thing she needed was to be ambushed by others, this was her kill, and her meal.
Drooling with anticipation, Karasu found a quiet spot nearest the Sera lands where she came from, looking out through the bushes at the meadow. It seemed they had made good timing, as she could hear many others off in the distance now, and if they were still there they would have probably been caught. Karasu was unable to make out what they were saying, only feel the vibrations of what felt like two males and a female... maybe more if she wasn't mistaken.
She dug into her leg, eating quickly from her empty stomach as she seemed to be much hungrier than expected. How many days had it been? Two..? Three? Either way, her stomach was finally satisfied, and she let out a wonderful burp of happiness.
((Yami is following Kori; Blaire and Dante are away from them))
Dezera
Dezera gave just a simple nod of her head to Kodi's statement, before he left. Dezera respectfully bowed as Lupita came forward. The look on her face was enough to tell her that she expected more. Were wolves becoming that hungry that they weren't thinking logical? Then again, hunger was a priority now, and either way the chances of death were high; getting caught or slow starvation.
Hearing the next order, Dezera wanted to give a deep sigh but held it with a sucked in breath. She didn't even know where to look for her own offspring, they could be dead at this rate. She had to follow through, even though Dezera just wanted to relax before doing this mission all over again.
Dezera waited for Karasu to take her fill, before she quickly snatched off a nice chunk. The violet wolf wanted to take more, this wouldn't be filling 4 wolves; her and the three yearlings. It was something, they'd have to make the most of it and attempt to share the little they had with everyone. Dezera ducked and walked away with the meat swinging limply in her jaws.
Hibari ~+~ Curling his tail around his paws patiently, Hibari waited for Kali to splash at the fireball first. Of course he could easily douse the flame, but he really wanted Kali to have fun. He could wait his turn. Pretty soon his attention was caught on a swarm of small, silver fish in the pond and all outside noises were tuned out.
"Huh? Wah?" He wondered as Kali shouted his name. He looked up, right in time to get a big kiss. The grey male blinked multiple times, suddenly in a daze. There was a sort of tingling up his spine that he hadn't felt before. It was like he had passed through a barrier or something. Maybe.... Maybe he and Kali could be more than best friends.... But wasting no time, he bounded after his best friend, coming in behind her, tail wagging.
Kenpachi ~+~ Whimpering slightly at another pang of hunger, but at the approach of others, Kenpachi sat himself up into a more dignified position and made it seem like he wasn't starving. But unfortunately he wasn't going to be able to do any fighting anytime soon. He was glad to see that at least two of his offspring were at least present. But where was Hidan? Once there was more food, he would be sure to track his son down. His ears lifted at the call for warriors, and lifted his own muzzle to Akemi that there was food. But there wasn't nearly enough for a full-on train session, though he didn't want to admit it.
Bushido ~+~ As a soft voice roused his dreams, Bushido was roused into a half-sleep. The scent that had drifted into his ice cavern was comforting, almost like the smell of his mother's. But his drowsy brain finally recognized that he did not recognize the voice. All at once, despite how exhausted he was, he was instantly on his feet, eyes opening to flash his inherited electric blue eyes. A deep growl spread through his throat in alarm as his sword screeched as it carved through the ice and stone of the den.

She didn't wish to explain to her what she had done so instead she entered her mind without permission and and played the memory for her. After that she began to walk away while saying "You owe them an explanation, they're very upset." She offered a sympathetic smile before going to return home. She sadly made her way across the pack her body weak and her coat limp. She was so hungry but the closer she got to her home the louder the sound of a panic ridden brain got. She could see the confrontation in her mind and she was immediately on edge. She didn't want anything to happen to her mother.
As soon as the wolf jumped to his paws with a throaty growl, Naomi flinched and shrunk back. She might've collapsed to her paws if all her blood hadn't gone to her legs, twitching to race out of this den. Never a fighter, always one to flee. The ice wolf held still, something had told her to stay put.
"You're not my son."Naomi whispered the obvious under her breath as she shivered. "Who are you?" She found her voice and asked, letting it fling off the frozen walls of her den. This wolf could very well kill her with how vulnerable and unskilled the beta was. "Why are you here?"
Bushido ~+~ Almost as soon as it started, Bushido ceased his growl and weakly fell to the wall, using it as a sort of crutch to hold himself up. His head drooped, hiding his eyes behind a crop of silver bangs. "....Sorry...This place... It smelled of home for me." He murmured in a low voice, perhaps too low to hear. "My name is Bushido, and I come from up North where there is no ground but ice."
The midnight-blue wolf raised his head and once again his piercing eyes were on the female before him. It was almost like he had seen her someplace or something, but how could that be? "I don't know why I'm here. I started out because I was looking for... those of my blood, but..." Bushido let out another disheartened sigh and shook his head slowly.
But then quick as a whip, he was alert again, eyes wide. He even abandoned the icy walls of the cave, instead using his oversized tail for balance. "Before I woke, you said a name. What was that name?"

Once the group claimed their meal, and Kenpachi made a call, she looked to him in a different way than normal. They were both looking weaker than their typical alphaship role, and with any sort of an attack they would never survive, nor the pack.
"Kenpachi, we must do this daily until we have enough food to survive.." She said, unhappily.
"It looks to me like we may be in for some close calls. We need to be as careful as possible, I can only hope they don't let us down."
Her stomach growling forced her to turn and make her way to the meal, lowering her head to eat straight out of the deer. There was no 'take your portion and leave' in her mind, she was going to eat until she was full, because she was going to survive, damnit.
The time wolf laughed happily as Hibari came chasing after her, turning to lift her rump into the air as if engaging a game of chase before running off again towards the food. She smiled as she reached the kill, politely waiting as she saw the Alpha feasting. Sitting back, Kali knew hunters typically ate last, and since she was an apprentice she would have to wait even longer. Looking back to Hibari, she swished her tail around, batting her eyelashes at him as if the kiss never happened, but also teasing him in a way. She always had a crush on this male, and always wondered if she could get it through his head. Besides, if not, she could revert time, and start over again. She grinned at her thoughts, watching Hibari run with a smile on her face.
She sadly watched the group head off and away from her, nodding as Kori explained everything. Oh, why did she have to be so mean? She let out a sigh. Before she could chase after the little ones that disappeared into darkness, her eyes were covered by large paws. The voice was obvious though, and she quickly broke free to turn around and tackle-hug her dearest friend.
"KODI!" She said, licking his cheek happily as her tail wagged too and fro. "Oh, I've missed you so! How was it? How are you?" She backed up, looking over him as if making sure he was all still in one piece.
He smiled as he laughed as Yami tackled him, he let himself fall to the ground and he wrapped his paws around her for awhile until she backed up to look him over. "I've missed you too!" He said as he sat up and wagged his tail. "It was kind of stressful but we were successful...We caught a deer." He told her as he walked up to her and nuzzled into her. "I'm fine, just glad I'm home now..." He said softly.
She smiled at Kodi, nodding as she listened. "I bet it was stressful... being in enemy lands is scary.." She said, remembering when Kali was kidnapped and drama had happened. She was so thankful to still have her daughter by her side, and speaking of which, she was hoping to see her soon, as she missed that little girl.
"You caught a deer?" Her stomach growled, and she turned to look over Kodi's shouldar, wondering if there was any food left. Sure enough, Kenpachi was giving a howl and she knew it would be a feast tonight.
"How many?!" She asked, expecting more than one. "I'm starved!" She smiled, leaning in to lick him on the cheek, so happy that he was safe. She was extremely worried, especially since she didn't remember ever saying good bye.
"Just one, it would have been to risky to nab more than one I think...We're going back for a second hunt soon." He said with a nod and a sigh. He didn't want to leave her again but he would do what he had to do to help out his pack even if that meant risking his life. "But...Uh before we eat can we talk?" He asked as his ears flattened a little bit. "You can eat part of my share if you want..." He added.
The female nodded, listening intently as she watched him carefully, sad to hear the news, but understanding.
"Well, you did your best, that's all that matters." She smiled, and then shrugged. "Of course we can talk.. about what?" She sounded a bit concerned, wondering what he had to say. Remembering what they had talked about before he left and she had disappeared, she let a smile crack.
"I've been thinking about that question, you know, about us being mates and all." She sheepishly looked to the ground, her paw making circles in a patch of dirt among the grassy lands.
"And I just wanted to tell you yes, I would love to be your mate Kodi." She looked up at him, offering a shy, but excited smile.
He was about to ask her if she still wanted to be mates but before he could speak she said yes, a huge smile came across his face. "Really? Oh awesome..." He said in a dorkish way. He couldn't stop smiling. "Wow that's great, I'm really glad you said yes because I was a little worried because you seemed a little weird before I left...And it seemed like you didn't want to because of Akemi or something." He added. He then licked her muzzle. "I love you, I'm so happy right now." He said as his tail wagged back and forth.
She smiled at him, her tail wagging in relief since she realized what he was going to ask. "Yeah, I needed to calm Akemi down, whatever I say to him, don't let it bother you." She laughed, grinning at him as she nodded in agreement.
He nodded, "Okay, I understand." He said as he wrapped his tail around her. His smile just got bigger when she returned the I love you. "I really mean it, Yami...I love you so much and your daughter. I'm so grateful to be you're mate." He added. "Alright, do you wanna go eat now? I can eat now...and I'll split my share with you if you're starving." He told her.
She gave him a smile and an innocent giggle, whacking him playfully with her tail. "Of course I know you mean it. Why would you say it if you didn't?" She smiled, and then nodded, hungrily. "I'm starved." She looked to her stomach, embarrassed by how skinny she was when back in the day she used to be pretty hefty for a female. The lack of food was starving her, but her mouth watered to think about finally ending her starvation.
He nodded, "Oh, right..." He said with a nervous giggle. This was all so new to him but he was ecstatic. "Okay, let's go." He said as he motioned for her to follow him as he started to walk towards the kill. He then noticed the alpha was there already. "I think we better wait till he's done." He whispered to Yami. He then spotted Kali and walked over to her. "Hi Kali!" He said with a smile.
Kenpachi ~+~ "You think I don't know that?" Kenpachi snapped. Normally, he would just grunt, but his constant gnawing hunger was driving him mad. Well, madder than usual. Already he wanted to lash out and kill something-anything, even one of his fellow pack members- just to eat. In a sort of fit, the alpha coated his tail in thick armor and lashed it against the ground like a sort of mace. There was a deep rumble in his throat as his pupils began to dilate, an early sign of his bloodlust. The armor wolf bore his teeth and growled at nothing in particular, but it was something that he would have done during a fight.
Hibari ~+~ Taking a seat near his best friend, Hibari offered her a shy smile with some red dusting the grey-and-white of his cheeks. His yellow eyes averted themselves before turning back towards hers. HE blushed deeper and seemed to scoot closer. He was just about to almost touch her tail with his when Kodi came up. Then as if he had been caught in -THAT- act, yelped and spazzed out, tripping over himself in order to appear as non-suspicious as possible.
Now his attention was fully turned on a blade of grass while his face burned hotter than ever.

As he slumped against the wall, Naomi reached forward gently. "Do you need some help? I can try and mend those wounds the best I can." She replied, not wanting him to die in her den or let those nasty wounds to grow infected. Her motherly tone coming back as she gave a small smile, he didn't seem to be threatening her once his guard was lowered.
Naomi tilted her aging head as she watched him. He seemed lost, confused. Much like a puppy looking for his mother. She wasn't sure why it brought him to Ronoh, maybe it was fate that guided him here?
She took a step back once more when he became alert once more. She racked her brain, trying to replay what she name she called earlier. "Grimmjow?" Naomi smoothly replied. Curiosity causing her fur to raise up.
Pushing herself into a light trot, Dezera walked toward her mother's den. Kori would most likely be in there. She trudged toward it, her mind on other things. Noticing Kori going toward the den, Dezera quickened her pace to meet up with her.
"Here. Have your fill and if mom wants any, let her take it."Dezera tossed toward Kori, forfeiting her own share to increase Kori's, knowing that they little one needed it and her mother would need it too. Her mother was getting old and needed the strength. Even if she and Naomi were never close, Dezera didn't want another parent of her's to be gone.
Dezera slunk off with a nice amount to fill her pup's hunger for only a while. Now, the problem was to try and find those rugrats.
Bushido ~+~ "DON'T SAY HIS NAME!" Bushido roared, head tilted upwards so his jaws could snap at the air instead of at the female who was being kind to him. The yearling sank backwards, eyes on fire and silver mane standing on end, making him appear almost insane. Just like he had done before, he growled that low, threatening growl. "Don't say that monster's name." He kept repeating that phrase while ever so slowly backing up until his back-end had pressed up against the wall of the den. Then he appeared an odd combination of furious and terrified.
His eyes flickered back and forth, trying to find an escape route, but the only way was blocked by the female he did not want to hurt. Then he began to grow angry, so much so that his speech was short, choppy, and he couldn't get more than a few words out at a time. "That monster...! IT...! My mother...! Me!"
Bushido immediately hung himself back, and forced his head down and began talking almost hyperventalative breaths. Ever so slowly, he seemed to calm down, but only enough to get his next words out, though they were still said through painfully gritted teeth.
"If there was one thing that I never wanted to exist, it would be that monster....Even if I never existed because of it."

Yami just smiled to Kodi, laughing a bit as she followed him towards the food. Looking up to the sky, Yami walked at a nice trot, enjoying the weather as it seemed to be cooling down, and the wind was picking up. Yami typically liked when a good storm was going to hit, and that seemed to be the case.
As they neared the food, Yami noticed her daughter sitting next to Hibari, and she couldn't help but straighten up a bit, feeling a tinge of protecting motherhood kicking in. "Hey Kali." She smiled at them, inspecting her daughter silently to ensure of her safety, as she always did.
Kali lifted her head up as she heard her name, twice. "Hi Kodi! Hi Mom!" She giggled, running over to leap into her Mom, giving her a big hug before making her way to Kodi, lifting her paw up to offer a high-five to her good friend.
"We're waiting for food, isn't this exciting?" She had never felt so excited about getting food, and it made her feet dance in place. She looked back to Hibari, smiling at him. Letting out a giggle, Kali pranced back to his side, nonchalantly wrapping her tail right around his, even if he seemed extremely nervous at the time.
"You remember Hibari, right?" She smiled at her mom.
Yami just laughed and smiled, "Oh of course, Hi Hibari." She said, attempting to cover her worried expression, always wanting the best for Kali after knowing about how she got here, and never wanting her daughter to experience something she did in the past.
The male made his way towards the scent of food, noticing Dezera off in the distance. His tail raised, slightly. In a way, he was glad to see her, but he'd never admit that. Slowing his pace, Akemi made his way towards her, stopping to face her, giving her that typical look he always did.
"How'd it go?" He asked, his head tilting slightly to the side. "Any luck?" Although he was jealous of her position at the moment, he knew she deserved it.
"I was thinking, if you were interested, after you eat.. could we try to figure out this pup thing?" He asked, and the question came out quite bluntly. He looked to the ground, not feeling like explaining his reasonings that his set of mind changed, and he wanted to be a father. Something about that last personality switch.. it changed something in his heart. He looked back up at her again, his eyes a bit softer than usual, but no expression on his face.
He smiled and wagged his tail, he had always been close with Kali. Ever since she was a pup he had played with her and even taught her how to ice skate when she was really young. It was crazy how she was all grown up now. He gave her a high five. "Hello Hibari." Kodi said with a nod towards the younger male. The two were always close it seemed. He then went closer to Yami again and cuddled into her. He looked at her and smiled.
She smiled at Kodi and nodded to them, awaiting their turn for some food. She wasn't sure if her daughter knew about their relationship, and Kodi cuddling into her made her a bit nervous, since she hadn't gotten to tell Kali yet and she didn't want her to feel left out. Stepping forwards, Yami smiled and placed a paw on top of Kodi's gently, sitting down and resting her wings on her back.
"Kali, I wanted to tell you something very special.." She began, taking in a deep breath and then smiling to Kodi.
"Kodi and I have decided to be mates." She smiled, wondering how she would react.
Kali
The time wolf watched her mother and Kodi cuddle, smiling awkwardly but not really caring, she always knew her mom had a crush on him. Her ears perked up happily at the news and she wagged her tail, not expecting to hear such a great thing.
"WOW! that's awesome! Congrats guys!" Kali said, always positive. She then got an evil smerk on her face, grinning at her mom.
"Hibari and I are mates too!" She giggled, wondering how they would all react, especially Hibari... playing it out like a joke. She grinned and nudged into Hibari, licking him on the cheek before letting out another giggle.
