New Wolf Era

Lupita

She nodded at the male. "Good, then you have much potential in your future. You'll find the pond over there," She nodded towards it, "And, if you need to hunt for food, stick in the boarders of our forest, if you venture further, you need my permission." She said, "There will be a hunting challenge. I'd like you to partake in this. I will also be having a warrior training session after dinner, and would like to see your skill in that aswell. Would you be interested?" She asked, wanting to see both his potential as a hunter and a warrior, before she decided which position would suit him best.

"Now then, come along." She said, not really waiting for him to answer; because he didn't actually have the choice, in her mind. "The hunters have returned with the first kill, this next hunt, will be a free-for-all, kind of a competition. I will grade you on many things, not just what you bring back, so be wise, when you hunt." Lupita included, feeling her snake coil around her neck as she slowly approached the hunters.

 

 

Orion

He lifted his head up from his slumber at the sound of a male. Not really knowing this one besides seeing him around, Orion gave a shrug. "No sir, sorry. Haven't seen any tykes while in the forest." He said, politely. "But, we will be going out again soon, so I'll keep my eye out." He gave him a friendly nod, excited to go out and be in a hunt again.

His original constellation was the hunter; and when he would return to space, that's all he would get to do, and he just couldn't wait. He hated being a healer, it really wasn't his true reason to being in Ronoh, and if he were to stay a healer, he would probably retire, and find a new place to hunt, whether it be as a loner, or another pack member. Healing just, wasn't his thing. Sure, he would do it, for the wounded; because he cared.

But his true heart, was to hunt.

Jayce


He ****ed an eye brow as Karasu started to tease Kali, he thought it was kind of immature and rude. He did want to know about the relationship between Kali and this Hibari fellow. "Is Habari your'e boyfriend, Kali?" He asked not teasing but he actually sincerly wanted to know.



Tarin

"Oh okay, thanks Orion." He said with a nod. He then noticed Kodi there covered in blood and looking pretty pissed off. He didn't seem to be himself and so he decided to talk to him later and walked off to look for Xena somewhere else.

Kali felt her cheeks heat up in a bright red as Karasu brought up her likings for Hibari. She turned to Jayce as he asked if Hibari was her boyfriend, and she grew even more red. "NO!" she said, a little louder than her usual self, but it blurted out from embaressment. Sure, she loved that kid, Hibari. But, she would never admit that, especially to Karasu. "Karasu, stoooop!" she whined, pushing Karasu with her two paws, attempting to quiet her down the best way she could, within the manners her mother taught her. "Pleaaaassseeee..." her ears folded to her wad, and her tail tucked between her legs, obviously embarrassed.

Riley


"Yes, I'll partake in the activities, I'd like to know which rank I'd fit best as well." He said as he then got up again to keep up with her. Luna was busy digging bugs out of his fur. He didn't say much as they approached the hunters and just waited for further instruction.

Lupita

She nodded to the male, glad that he was interested in taking on the Hunt challenge. "Well Riley, this here is Kodi," She said, beginning with basic introductions. "That is Orion, the healer," She nodded to him, "And, Aiden is over here, mate of the Beta." She gave him a smile, before turning to Keera, "Along with Keera, our other hunter." She looked around, and didn't see Akemi, Dezera, or Yami. They had better return soon, Lupita was getting very impatient.

"We are missing Yami, who obviously will not be a head hunter according to her absense." She rolled her eyes, knowing the nerves wreck of a mother would never be potential for a head hunter position. 

"Everyone, this is Riley. He is on trial for Ronoh, and will be included for the hunt." She nodded towards the new male, giving him a welcoming smile, before her serious face took back over.

"Now, rules. Every man for himself. No teamwork, got it?" She said. "This is a test, not a pack hunt. I am assigning ranks. May you not impress me, you may go down in a rank. May you impress me, you still might not get rewarded." She looked over their kill, giving a smile. "Nice job, we will feast on this. Your prize, will be your dinner. Come back with nothing, well, just don't even bother coming back." She said, glaring at the wolves as if a threat.

"You have until the moon rises." She looked up to the sky. It was morning, they had plenty of time to hunt. "I wish you all the best of luck. I will be choosing a head hunter after this, if I find one suitable." She said, nodding to them. 

"You may begin whenever you are ready. Any questions?"

Aiden

He smiled and listened carefully, he inwardly sighed as he was once again rushed away from his mate. He felt their time together was dwindling quickly and they were just drifting farther apart. He nodded and rushed into the forest. without the help of he element he wouldn't catch much but he could try. He wanted to retire soon anyway. He scented the air and could smell the elk. On his own he wouldn't be able to take one but maybe there was a baby...if he could do that. He stalked towards them his body low to the ground, as he finally spotted them he lowered his belly to the ground his shoulder joint cracking unexpectedly and he growled as the crack was loud enough to alert the herd. He sprinted after the heard trailing a slower younger one and nipped at the ankle of the calf sending it sprawling. Before he could reach it the mother came from his blind side catching him across the ribs with her antlers. He growled as he was thrown to his side with the angry mother chasing after him still. He saw the calf hadn't yet regained its footing so he ran hard towards it his sides heaving and now also bleeding. He locked his jaws around the things throat not having the strength to snap its neck but instead suffocating it. The mother was now to wary to approach but she remained close bellowing upsettedly as he calf thrashed. As the calf died he dropped the head and charged the mother, snarling to drive her off. As she ran she lashed out with her back hoof and caught him under his jaw and threw him back knocking the breath out of him. He glanced up noticing the air was begging to heat up, so he had spent a while stalking and killing but he didn't move. He gasped to regain his breath and once he did he noticed the blood all over his right side where the mother had snuck up on him and also from his nose. He grabbed the medium animal and mumbled about "Being to old for this ****." and began dragging towards Ronoh.

Aiden

He had finally dragged the carcass back to the pack and stopped to catch his breath. As his sides stopped heaving he carried it to Lupita his head high regardless of his physical exhaustion. He saw Naomi in the distance and grew excited letting his tail wag, he knew she'd be concerned with the blood covering him but he had other news to tell her. He dropped the elk and said "I would like to speak with my mate ma'am." he gave a polite smile and jogged over to Naomi and nuzzled her carfule to avoid bloodying her coat.

Lupita

She nodded as the first one to arrive back was Aiden. Sure, he had great potential, but his physical condition seemed to be fading away, as if age was really getting to him. She watched him drop the kill and walk away, so from there on out she moved the kill into place, preparing to judge it. 

Obviously though, she would need other contenders to compare it too.

Kali

She nodded as both of them settled, and Jayce and Karasu got into a little argument. She giggled at Karasu, calling Jayce a mom. "Hey, Karasu, Jayce is a boy, silly." She laughed, grinning at Jayce, trying to ease up the tension between the two.

She turned though, as they arrived at the pond. "Xena? Hibari? ..hidan?" She decided to include the third pup, knowing he was also missing, but not as important for Kali to find her best friends.

Searching around, eventually she came upon Hibari.

"GUYS! COME HERE!" She shouted, reaching out and nudging Hibari. He seemed to be fast asleep. "HIBARI! WAKE UP!" Kali said, excitement in her voice. She hadn't seen this male in so long, oh! It was a miracle! "Wake up!" She said, frowning, as he didn't seem to budge.

Jayce


He gave Karasu a weird look as she was being rude to him. 'Man this girl has issues' he thought. He followed Kali as she was looking for her friends. "Xena!?" He called out as well. But no one seemed to be answering.


Tarin


He looked high and low and didn't seem to find Xena anywhere. He was starting to get worried but there was nothing he could do. So he just went back to his den and put his head in his paws trying to think of why Xena would run off like that.

Kestral

His ears folded down as she completly ignored his question. So it was true, he was annoying... He whimpered a bit, watching her run off, and up to Tarins cave.

He watched her with sad eyes, while lowering himself into the grass. Great, now his only friend thought he was annoying, too.

Kestral looked up at the sky, wondering what was wrong with him. Then, he remembered what Kenna wanted to do. Kenna didn't like it here, so she wanted to leave.

Then, it snapped in his head. Leave, was better than here! Now, if only Kestral knew where leave was... Walking around the border, Kestral tried to figure it out, and eventually wandered off into the forest, determind to find this 'leave' that seemed so wonderful.

Riley


"Thanks you too." He said to the healer. He decided to dismiss himself and go take part in this hunt now, since he only had the rest of the day. He started walking to the Phoenix forest since he knew that land better since he passed through it to get to Ronoh. Hopefully there will be some decent size prey he could catch on his own.

Jayce


He looked at Karasu with a shocked look, it seemed like she didn't even care about these wolves. She just announced that they were dead with out even an ounce of sympathy. "What is wrong with you?" He asked with his mouth wide open, he didn't understand how anyone could be so heartless.

Hibari

"Mm...Mama?" Hibari began to stir, and pulled himself up into a sitting position, eyes still closed. As he waivered back and forth, it was obvious that the lights were on, but nobody was home. "Agenn 'kai." He murmured, too tired to spell out his code-name. Once or twice he threatened to topple over, but managed to stay on his haunches.

Karasu

She looked over in Kali's direction at her statement, and her jaw dropped. Wow, she was wrong. Damn! Always, bad timing with her. "Daddy will still love me the most." She bragged to Hibari, always competitive since she was raised with rowdy, competitive boys. She even held the composure of her father; it was obvious she was going to be large, and already outweight Hibari and Kestral. 

"Well, fine. But Hidan is still asleep." She said, figuring he wasn't dead either. It wasn't her fault she wasn't no healer. "Well, you found your lover boy. Let's go find Xena." She said, looking around for the other brat, one Mama spent more time with than herself; she always envied that little girl.

Jayce


"You are so rude!" He barked at Karasu, he really, really didn't like her. He then turned to the pup who wasn't actually dead. "I'm Jayce, you must be Hibari." He introduced himself with a smile.

Karasu

Evil eyes of her father sparkled as Jayce called her rude. "Say that again." She said, looking down at him as if she was superior. Besides, she was much larger, and it wasn't too hard since she was taller, too. "I wouldn't go around being mean to the Alpha's daughter. Especially their only daughter." She had an evil grin on her face, one like her mothers. Someone had to be passed down the gene of their parents personality, right?

Seeing that Hidan had awoken, Karasu growled under her breath. As he mumbled something about getting food, she scampered off. "I'm hungry. See you later guys," She said, not caring about finding Xena, and now that Kali had Hibari and Jayce around, she knew she wouldn't be able to pull Kali under her wing. It would just have to happen later. Or she hoped.

"Hey, Hidan." She said, glaring at him for a moment before approaching to his side. Well, if he was alive, might as well make use to him. "Let's go hunt together. Yeah?" She said, knowing she'd probably convey him into just hunting for her, but the thought of hunting without Mom or Dad around was exciting, too.

Kali

She turned and watched as Karasu stormed off, and watched as Jayce and Hibari introduced themselves. Kinda. "Well, now that we've found you, we can find Xena, then settle down and play a game." Kali said, with a smile. At the mention of food, her stomach also felt as though it was rumbling, and she nodded in agreement. "I'm hungry too. Let's find Xena while we hunt!" She suggested, turning to Hibari. She remembered he was frightened easily, and was wondering if he would go hunting with them or not.

Tarin


He loosened up as it seemed she came to him to make up and apologize. "Yeah, I'm sorry I got so mad at you, I didn't mean it." He said as he looked at her with his big red eyes. "Will you forgive me?" He asked her as he made a little puppy dog look trying to make her smile.

Aiden

He smiled and said "Not as good as they would have been if I had help." he glanced over at his side as she had begun to fret and said "I'm actually more worried about the fact that my helpers dead..." he watched her with his violet eyes judging her reaction figuring she wouldn't be to surprised.

Kenna

She smiled as she walked in and lay down next to him and said "Of course, and I'm sorry I acted to stupid and mean as well." a small flame sprung up around her paws to warm them up and glanced over at him with his pelt matching the fire.

Naomi

She giggled at his answer, "At least you got some strength left in you." She smiled before looking sternly at his side once more. Her eyes slowly lifted from it to look at her mate's brillant colored eyes. She always liked the color, but she wasn't thinking about them right now. Her eyes were larger than normal and she was shocked.

"Minky? Oh my, I know he was getting old. But, what happened? Is that why I haven't seen him around?" She asked in a rapid speed. So, many questions. But, she was glad that her mate was alright and living still. "I'm terribly sorry about the loss. Such a sad day. But we still have each other." She added, pressing herself close to her mate and dropping her head to rest on his shoulder. She gave him a comforting smile and licked his cheek.

Kali nodded at Jayce. "Sounds good to me. Will your sister play too?" she wondered, really hoping to make some new friends. Hopefully it wouldn't be awkward like last time... Turning to Hibari, the time wolf tilted her head a bit. "But what Hibari?" she smiled. "Feeling tired? C'mon you can hunt!" she reached out, grabbing Hibari by the paw and running towards the edge of Ronoh where the trees were, "It'll be fun!" she said, not going too fast, not wanting to drag him. "COME ON JAYCE!!!" she called back, giggling

Hibari

The grey yearling yelped as he was suddenly tugged along. "No, wait!" As soon as Kali stopped, he freed himself from her grip and stood a little ways away. "...I can't. I just..." Hibari turned away, cheeks reddening in embarrasement and caused a bit of water to fly around in a figure eight. "I can't hunt." His orange eyes turned back towards his friend and he gave a helpless shrug. Not only that, it made him a sort of sick to think of what Hidan had done to his rabbit...

Tarin


He was a little shocked at how affectionate she was being at the moment, since she was nearly on top of him now, they couldn't get any closer. "So, Uh....What now?" He asked nervously as his paws were beginning to sweat. "I mean like did you wanna do something today?" He asked.
