New Wolf Era

Tythar || Lyerly

He didn't get to sit there long before a wolf approached him. Normally his aura was quite dim, but with the other Light wolf's proximity, it brightened slightly, flickering like an old lightbulb. More and more he noticed his powers seeming to weaken, like it was getting harder to use it. He blamed it on the things he was made to do, the things that went against his element's nature. Ty had always been a bit of a troublemaker, but never anything serious. Mischief had always been his aim, not destruction.

His eyes narrowed slightly, and he angled his face from the other, staring out at the surf without him in his line of sight. He didn't want to talk. Talking would only lead to trouble, and this guy...

Chancing a small glance at Lux, he looked away just as quickly, not wanting to give himself away. He looked older, with gray peppering along his chin that interrupted its golden color. He certainly looked like a Light wolf, with a kind if not weary expression, and judging by his defense of that female moments ago, he probably acted like one too. Reminded of his own failure at his element, Tythar felt a pang of bitterness, adjusting himself so his back was to Lux, wings like a shield as he rested his paws on his chin. "Yeah, well what do you know?"

He was silent from then, letting his head tip to the side, his cheek resting on one leg while the other absently pawed at the sand, leaving footprints and then wiping them away. On one paw he hoped that the other wolf would leave, but some distant part of his mind did long for him to stick around. It might be nice to talk for once...

No. No. Clenching his eyes shut, Ty curled slightly into himself, though his wings largely masked the tormented action.

Lux

Hearing little response, Lux took it upon himself to cast his eyes off of the rolling waters over to the dark furred wolf. He was cold in his actions, so unfamiliar for a wolf of such element. It caught Lux off-guard but wouldn't put a damper on the old wolf's mood. Many of the wolves that Lux had come across in his journeys portrayed the same attitude but it bothered him none. Live and let live.

Throwing his gaze back over to the waters, he stole a glance once more at the heavily weighed remark followed soon by a shielding. The effort to block Lux out from his life just as abruptly the golden wolf had entered into it. However, the light wolf felt an amused smile form along his long muzzle, feeling a throaty chuckle rumble inside his throat.

"What do I know? I know more than you could imagine, sadly, too much at times. Even if I already know you wish to know none of it." Lux replied in a warm, even tone. "Do not fret, I'll be departing soon enough and leave you to your peace. I just need to refuel my energy, the sun is my best option."

Lux left out the fact that being so close to another of his kind helped a great deal, too. The rays, miniscule as they were, kept his spirits high and tried to reach out toward the wolf to soak in some rays that he gave off. Lux was correct about the sun being the greatest source, the warm and radiation, once hit would seep into his fur. Warming his body to the core along with the element that he holds.

Lux dropped his head slowly to his paws, watching as the tide grew closer. No doubt by the time he would leave, they'd barely skim across his toes. The white wings across his back splayed out, glittering gold at the tips as if trying to court the sun.

Tythar || Lyerly

The male replied after a moment, and Tythar resisted his urge to bite back a snide remark, the word catching in his throat in a garbled mess that might sound faintly like a growl. If the other wolf chose to take it that way, far be it from Tythar to correct him. His comment had been rhetorical, but the old geezer had sung some little cliche story about how he knew so much about the world and how Tythar wouldn't possibly be interested and likely wouldn't even be able to comprehend the vast wonders he had been exposed to! Only not in so many words, but he was thinking it, Ty just knew it.

Thinking all this, Ty couldn't help a real growl. It started out as a restricted vibration, bubbling up in his chest and racing up his vocal chords to spill out his mouth. "Yeah well, I've seen a lot too, so don't act all haughty. I'm sure I've seen things only you could imagine, too," In truth, Lux hadn't been that arrogant at all, but lately his temper had been at wits end, and he couldn't help biting back. He just didn't want him there, anything but another wolf of his element. The idea that everything he could never be was being flung in his face was enough to make his skin crawl.

Shifting his feathers along his back, he noticed a black feather fall off with the movement. No doubt soon it would be replaced by its opposite, and soon the white would creep up his feathers, repeating the cycle from ying to yang. He didn't know why his feathers did that, constantly molting. It sucked for being stealthy when his feathers were everywhere, and he did a cycle at least twice a year. Maybe it was all the travel wearing his feathers, but sometimes he liked to think it was just another punishment. A small, but tedious, punishment.

After a moment, his eyes shifted imperceptively over to the male, using his feathers as a buffer to do so. Lux was still laying there, his wings unfurled as if to act as a sort of beacon for the sun. The sun helped him a lot, sure, he always felt better out in the open under its rays than he did in the dark, or in the forest, or worse of all, that labyrinth he had been initially captured in. He felt a little better now, when he thought about it, like he had forgotten about what the sun could do until Lux mentioned it. At least he had dark fur, the one time he really appreciated it. It did wonders soaking up the rays.

Lyerly shifted away from Tythar, bounding over to the surf, chasing the waves and running from them as the ebb and flow crashed against the shore. It was enough for Ty to pull his gaze from Lux, watching his helper--for the first time in months--enjoy herself.

Lux

With the slightest flicker of his ears, Lux swore he heard something mumbled from deep in the wolf's throat. With his hearing fading combined with the caw of the gulls from around him, Lux hadn't caught the faint noise that Tythar gave off. After a moments pause, be it from wish to stop the conversation or to think, Lux was sure he heard a growl this time. This one was clear to him. Lux's head slowly turned to finally look over at the dark colored wolf. He was still shocked by the fact that he was a light wolf, with a fur so dark it was a shocker.

Despite the unwelcoming tone following that growl, Lux's ears pinned back against his head. Taking a great inhale before letting a simple exhale of breath, as if releasing all the tensions from the words. He wouldn't get angry or dish out the same tone. No, that was not him. It never was him.

Lux just offered a unsure smile, wondering how the wolf might take it. Feeling the need to correct his vague statement from before, Lux blinked his eyes from the sand that the wind picked up. "I apologize if I came off as such. No two wolves' experiences are the same in what they have come across, that is for sure. It's a shame that such a young wolf, such as yourself, already believes they've seen many things to bring such bitterness to the tongue."

Giving off a sigh, Lux fumbled around in place to find his footing. He had better get a move on it, visit Yami once more. The sun's gift was accepted warmly into his golden fur, feeling a reviving tingle as he pulled his wings close to him once more. Biting back at the terrible ache from being in place for some time, Lux gave a gruff groan. He turned his gaze once more to the surf, noticing the small ermine leaping about in the water's waves. The little critter reminded him much of his own helper during Blitz's younger years.

It seemed Blitz was thinking the same thing, for all the commotion had cause the albino squirrel to arise from his nap. He had limped a few inches away from Lux to admire the carefree life. Lux bent down to finally pick up his scrawny helper and place him upon his back.

"I shall keep to my word, I will be heading off. I wish you the best in finding peace with yourself, it seems your helper has out there on the water. It was nice to meet you and I hope we cross paths sometime." Lux bidded a farewell to Tythar, opening his wings and ready to launch himself into the sky.

Masika

Her eyes wandered from the horizon back towards Eziek as he mentioned his half brother. Surely, the male infront of her had gone through a rough childhood, and an even more rough teenaged years.

"Well, why don't you spend some more time with him then?" She asked, wondering why he was on the beach if his wish was to be with his father. She watched him as he seemed to be watching herself, aswell. As a matter of fact, she was almost certain the male hadn't looked away from her since he laid his eyes on her.

That realization brought a flutter to her stomach, and made her look sheepishly away. Eziek was just so sweet, and she took this evaluation into consideration with his question.

"Sometimes, I just enjoy alone time." Well, that was a blunt lie. Masika was always known to be shy, nervous, and in the background, but the last thing she ever wanted was to be alone. Especially with Gus gone. 

It was evidant she was trying not to break down at that moment as she caught his eye contact, feeling her own eyes begin to moisten and blur her vision. She attempted to blink the tears away, and she tightened her throat as she tried not to break down. But, her eyes were locked onto his and she just.. she just couldn't look away.

When she felt the tickle of a tear flow down her cheek, that was all it took to step up, lean forward and embrace the male. She nudged her head into his shouldar, finally having a shouldar to cry upon... even though it was somewhat forced.

She broke down, but was still some how able to speak.

"Gus has passed away, my.. my helper. My..my best friend." She whispered, unable to say anything else as that was barely comprehendable between sobs. All she did was stand there, nuzzled into the male as close as she could get, hiding her face into his neck as if she didn't want him to see her cry.

Trio 

He was sound asleep by the time Sora had returned, and he turned to her with sleepy eyes, hearing her wonderful voice. "Thanks, love." He said, reaching over and grabbing a few, swallowing the fish whole. He grinned tiredly at her, before closing his eyes and practically passing out.

It was a long while before he would be refreshed with sleep, which was strange since he was sleeping almost half of his life away lately, but, the scenario was just overwhelming and he just needed some rest. Yawning, Trio would randomly reposition himself, twitch, and mumbled something or another about sand and fish.

Trio

It was a good hour or two before he awoke, mumbling a bit and groggily looking up at Sora. When he saw her, a smile spread across his features. "Morning.." He said, looking back down at the fish, finally feeling content with his own hunger. "How are you feeling?" He asked, stretching out his back leg and shaking himself off before standing and stretching out his back.

Lux

A sudden rush of energy shot through the old-timer, one that could be described closely with adrenaline. Or so it felt like it when he recieved another light wolf's waves. Lux's golden tipped wings started to glow, giving his golden fur an more luminous effect. Even if the words that Tythar used to justify his action were selfish, Lux viewed it more as a helpful push. He knew that somewhere, deep down, there was a nicer wolf. One that differed in the acts of bitterness as presented beforehand.

"Thank you." Lux replied warmly. Lux put it simply, knowing that Tythar didn't care to hear more words coming from him. Just to get away. Lux took a moment, just to watch Tythar quietly. He had to admire the nice pattern the wolf's wings gave off, especially in the dying sunlight. Without further procrastination, Lux beat the air softly with his wings. Testing the winds before giving himself a boost by leaping skyward to take off. It was hard at first, pushing himself to fly onward. Lux got the hang of it soon enough and soon his flight pattern turned to Ronoh pack.

Rayce

He sat a little bit into the water though where he was he should have been sitting in water but instead there was ice slowing growing up and around as the water froze when it went to spalsh him or try and go around. An icy dome began to form over him with the entrance forming away from the edge of the water. Any moisture that might be under had been turned into an ice floor.

Masika

She had dug as deep into the male as she could, begging for comfort as he spoke so sympathetically to her. Then, she suddenly grew red and hot as she realised just what she did, her shyness forcing her to pull back and bite her lip, turning away in discomfort and embaressment.

"What more can we do." She said, as her ears seemed to hang low and her eyes glossed over once again. "Without an element, I'm sure to die." She sighed, already seeing signs of being weaker. Oh, how she wished to make the water dance once again.

Taking a few breaths as if to calm herself down, Masika brought herself to make eye contact with Eziek. Sad eyes watched him, and in the pit of her stomach she just wished she had a wonderful male like himself in her life; but she'd never be good enough. Especially now without an element. Perhaps one day, she'd find a male without an element, one that was sweet and sensitive, yet brave and worthy like Eziek. But no, she'd never be good enough for him. 

"Thank you.." She said, softer than usual. The male had done a lot for her, just by his presence and kind words.

Trio

It was a good hour or two before he awoke, mumbling a bit and groggily looking up at Sora. When he saw her, a smile spread across his features. "Morning.." He said, looking back down at the fish, finally feeling content with his own hunger. "How are you feeling?" He asked, stretching out his back leg and shaking himself off before standing and stretching out his back.

ooc: Yey, now we can continue! bic::: Akemi had finally made it to the beach, and he surely wasn't thrilled to return. Moping through the sand as if it was the worst day ever, he finally stumbled upon Dezera and Kodi, which to his dismay, hadn't made much of any progress. "Lupita's pissed." He mumbled to the two, at this point not caring about much more than getting back home and getting out of trouble. "I don't have time for this. C'mon." And, actually being a bit more careful than he usually would, Akemi attempted to lift Kodi up onto his back, attempting to just carry him home.

Dezera

Dezera watched him coolly, tilting her head to examine his leg and the makeshift cast. "Should be more careful, Kodi." She replied. At least he was talking to her again, that was fine with her. She wasn't in any mood to deal with petty things, especially with his jealousy with Akemi. Dezera started to feel extremely hot, which made her antsy to get back into the cool shadows of Ronoh's forest. Normally, she never had a problem with heat but this was becoming unbearable.

As Akemi showed up with a sharp attitude, Dezera's head raised to meet his. It was starting to irritate her. "Does it look like I give a rat's ass about you having time for this or not? I have this handled." She growled at him, giving a small 'hmph' and looking the other way. Dezera's ears flickered back before she peeked back toward the two males that once fought over her. Kodi was allowing Akemi to assist him. Shocker.

At Akemi's order, the violet wolf stood planted in place. She was stubborn and would not take to him pushing her around. Even if she wanted to be back home, she was aching all over and the pain was too great in her abdomen. She wasn't sure what was going on with her body or why it was acting so strangely. At his nudge, Dezera veered around and gave him a warning snap. "Don't touch me. I'm not weak, I can help with Kodi or the squid."

Masika

She was unsure about her fate until Eziek spoke so reassuringly. Her heart seemed to jump at his voice, and she quietly began to reconsider her true feelings for this male. For some reason, she had this strange heart-fluttering jitter inside and she just never could figure it out. 

As his helper spoke, Masika remembered that moment when they were learning to surf, and she had reached out to help Eziek onto her surf board. They had been so close, and it was so neat to experience that together. 

Her eyes seemed to water at the thought of it, her mixed emotions getting the best of her since she was still upset about Gus. 

"Thank you, my friends..." Masika finally said, eyes opening wide as the green male reached forward and touched noses with her. She couldn't help but pull away in a shy mannor, feeling her cheeks grow beat red before inhaling deeply and reaching back out towards him, only to retouch their previous encounter. She was unsure if the coldness of the nose was what gave her the chills, or the fact that she had enough courage to redo his sweet gesture.

"I would really like that." She said softly, feeling her heart pounding so hard that she felt like her whole body was quivering, quite unsure about how to respond to this affectionate moment. It wasn't long until her blushing got the best of her, and she eventually pulled back and looked away shyly.

Trio

He watched with a reather disgusted look in his eyes as she attempted to turn into a squirrel. Personally, it was an ugly sight. But, he let out a breath of relief as she returned to her normal state. "Yes dear?" He asked, worried about what was going on. Whatever it was, it better not be an alien, or something.

And then it hit him. How could he be so stupid?! The barfing-almost, ish, the large awkward stomach when she changed shapes.. the multiple heart beats...

"Er.. Sora.." He rushed to her side, nosing softly up to her stomach as if to confirm. "I think your..." He shivered a bit. Would he really be?

Unable to control his emotions, at the feeling of something kick him inside of Sora, he immediatly fell over, fainting on the spot.

Izzy scurried over when Trio went down, looking up wide eyed at the larger female wolf, wondering what the hell was going on. 

Masika

She finally pulled away as Ezieks voice rang, listening intently as if she needed to concentrate to take in what he was saying. She watched him for a moment, with her usual wide-eyed stare when she was in semi-disbelief. 

Was she really missed that much? Had he too, been thinking about her and the times they had shared when he was gone? Sure, he passed her mind every once in awhile, but now that she really, really thought about it.. each memory was golden, in a way.

She didn't personally know how to take the comment, especially since she was a naturally shy and closed wolf, sharing her feelings wasn't something she normally did. 

All she could conclude at the moment, was that she was growing extremely hot, and needed some sea breeze. "C-Caan we go for a w-walk?" She said, not really knowing how to reply to his comment, and needing to avoid it until she could think of a suitable answer. It was obvious she was nervous, and she wasn't sure if he'd take her nervous habits in a positive way or not, so she tried to bare a smile.. although it was a bit forced, because it almost seemed like she was trying too hard to make him not leave, and her body was sending mixed signals.

Now, was a good time for her helper to still be around...

Standing, Masika flicked her fur as to remove the sand from her hindquarters as she began to make her way towards the beaches shore, hoping that he would follow. She looked at him once again, feeling her heart begin to race as her mind stumbled upon words and actions, not really knowing what to do. Did she really like him? Was this what a crush was supposed to fee like? Or was she just misinterpretating his whole speel?

Eziek

Silence. He was unsure if he jumped too soon into saying that since she hadn't said anything soon after. His ears quivered as she spoke of taking a walk. Masika still wanted to talk and be around him, that was a good start. Even though she seemed nervous, which he was unsure was a good or bad thing just yet.

"A walk?" Eziek asked, taking not of the stutter she got back. "Sure, of course." Eziek smiled, playing on the positive notes and hiding his overwhelming confusion toward Masika. Eziek scrambled up and trotted after her before being at her side, slackening his pace to match her's.

He looked around the beach, it was growing seemingly smaller in population. Everyone seemed to have their own thing to do around here and he was growing unfamiliar of the wolves around here. He still had Mizuki, Captain and Masika but Eziek felt the need for a larger group of wolves. He was a very sociable wolf, so it felt slightly lonely to have the beach be so barren in the summer.

"Would you ever leave the beach?" Eziek thought aloud, "I mean, I'm still not sure if I would or not. I was born and raised here, it's my home." He rambled a little on the thought. Mizuki was growing old and Masika was vunerable without an element, he'd have to take care of them soon. Eziek wasn't going to complain, he always enjoyed taking care of others.
