New Wolf Era

Eziek

He nodded his head, taking a deep breath of air. "Yes, it's always beautiful around here." He smiled. Eziek heard his name, his square head turned back and forth to try and search for the source. Suddenly, his eyes came across Mizuki. They lit up with such joy.

"Mizzy!" Eziek howled out, jumping around in place as the white wolf ran over to them. He always swore she was a larger wolf, but it seemed his growth spurt had ended with being taller than her. The green wolf embraced her.

"I missed you, Mizzy. I told you that I'd return one day, so here I am. I could never leave you or all my friends behind here." He smiled at her, his tail wagging back and forth. Forgetting that Fern was besides him, Eziek turned to back up and gesture toward her.

"This is my friend, Fern. We met in the forest and she's been hanging with my dad and I since then." He wriggled around, looking at Mizuki again as if to see if she'd approve or not.

Eziek

Eziek watched Mizuki merrily, not taking notice to how old she had gotten. He turned to look at Fern, giving her a comforting smile to encourage her not to be shy. Eziek grinned stupidly before agreeing with Mizuki on Fern's good looks. The flowers brought out an adorable side to her.

"Yes! We've been traveling all over the place. We spent some time in the forest, and he helped me learn better skills on hunting. And then we decided to hit the mountains to explore before venturing back into the forest." He explained, it would be hard to continue on with a whole year's worth of adventures. Eziek had learned so much from his father.

"Oh." He started, looking behind him once more. Wishing that Enki would come out and follow, but he turned to look back at Mizuki. His ears flattened. "Enki got into a fight and ended up dying from it. I buried him back there." He spoke slowly and painfully.

Eziek

He could hear Mizuki's heart beat slower at the news of Enki's death. She was sad. Eziek tried to force a smile to make her feel better since he knew how contagious emotions could become. Eziek allowed her to hug him, he draped his head across her shoulders.

"I just wish that I knew him more. He left too soon, same as my mother." He replied with a heavy sigh, "No wolf deserves to die." Eziek's forked tongue flickered out for a moment. "At least he's with my mom, he was always happier around her it seemed. Or when something reminded him of her."

He smiled at his other mother, his tail starting to slowly wag once more. "Of course, Mizzy. And you have me and the other friends on the beach. Like Captain and Rosuto and...Masika." He said, the last name came out slowly and he lifted his head up as if expecting to see her nearby.

Yami noticed a wolf passed out on the shore, next to some creature. "Is that wolf alright?" she asked Lux, concerned about whoever it was. They were much too high for her to realize who it was, but no matter who it was, it looked like they needed help. "We should see if that wolf is alright..." she said, motioning down towards Kodi

Lux

He was enjoying his time, flying above the water. Yami had a good point, he would never trade his wings in for gills. The sky was his home. His attention was brought to the gray wolf resting nearby some large creature. He couldn't tell if the wolf was sleeping or passed out from exhaustion.

"Let's go find out. Better to be safe than sorry." Lux called over the rushing air over to Yami. He dipped his head before opening his wings large enough to try and glide with ease over to the wolf, his altitude was decreaseing at  a slow pace.

Mizuki

She nodded to Eziek, and gave him a happy sigh. "Maybe he will revisit, some day.." She said, with a shrug. "Oh, Masika? Surely she's around here, haven't seen her so I'm not too sure, but figuring that old sea turtle of her's is in the ocean, I'd figure she wouldn't venture too far off.. right?" She shrugged, "We could try to find her, oh, and Captain too. He'd love to see how much you've grown!" Mizuki smiled, remembering back when she discovered Eziek as a pup, and Captain helped her return him to his mother.

He was like, ten times larger than that now, and she still couldn't believe he stood even taller than herself!

Rayce

Turned his around to look at the beach and seemed to be thinking "I.....don't know. It seems....like a nice place....with friendly wolves....for the moment." Given his past he wasn't about to trust any of them, including the one who had supposedly granted him good luck. He certainly couldn't trust anything to not happen if he did decide to stay.

Kodi


He moaned as he was nudged by Yami, he was still extremely exausted from over working himself. He opened one of his eyes and saw Yami. He gave a half sleepy smile at her and closed his eye again. He was taking deep and slow breaths and still had one paw over his precious squid.

Enkai

As her stomach was now pleasantly bulging with squid-and none of that gross-tasting angelfish, or whatever that one wolf had called it, Enkai returned to the surface, poking her head above the waves and bobbing in one place for a little while. There was Captain! But...There were so many new wolves.... The sea-wolf swallowed hard and sank lower into the water. They all looked so scary....

Kodi


He shook his head as the light shined in his eyes. "Huh-What?" He asked as he woke up and rubbed his eyes. He looked at her and his pupils were huge for a moment and then returned to normal. "Yami?...what are you doing here?" He asked as he got to his feet. He was still really sore but felt better.

Yami

She was slightly relieved he was alright, But when he asked why she was here, she didn't want to answer. Why should he care? All he did was follow around Dezera, last thing on his mind should be her. "Why's that matter?" She asked, not wanting to talk about her brother being mean to her, especially since she wasn't on good terms with Kodi, she didn't want to tell him anything.

"Why  are you here? And, what the heck is that thing?" She said, nosing towards his squid.

Eziek

Revisit? So, he wasn't dead? Eziek smiled and nodded his head, that'd be nice. He listened at Masika being mentioned. "Possibly, I'd love to see her again. I bet she's around here and gotten better at that whole surfing thing." Eziek chuckled and looked around him.

"Yes, Captain! I want to see him." Eziek barked, his tongue flickering out to taste the air. He was always a close friend of Eziek's, almost like an uncle. One of the few males that his mother felt less timid to be around. "He's always great to have around. I'm sure he's doing something fun with the newcomers to the beach, he always has that second sense on finding them." Eziek laughed, scouring the beach from his spot to see if he could notice any one. They were a little farther away so he could just see them as colored specks.

Mizuki nodded happily at Eziek, not Easton any time to answer him and nudging him quickly while heading towards the speckled wolves in the distance, Well, come along!" she said, feeling her joints click and pop as she stretched out into a run. It felt good to run, especially since she lacked energy lately from her age. "I think that's them!" Mizuki said, running towards the group and seeing two wolves that looked similar to Masika and Captains description, along with other unfamiliar wolves.

Kodi


He took a deep sigh, he knew he had to make it up to her and make things right again. "Hello, nice to meet you." He said politely to the male who was with Yami. "I'm glad your'e okay, will you come home with me?...I could use a little help hauling this off to Ronoh. And I'd like to talk to you some more." He said in a calm but slightly sad voice. He knew he had messed things up with her. She was just so confusing at times.

Kodi


His ears flattened, he didn't feel right leaving her like this. He took a few steps toward his prized squid. He was limping, he had a torn tendon in his back leg and it soon gave out on him when he tried dragging the squid out of the sand. "Gods damnit." He cursed in pain and frusteration. "Are you really leaving?" He asked in a saddened voice after he gave on on the squid and laid back down. He didn't want her or Kali to leave. It would be weird not seeing their faces in the pack.

Lux

He shifted around as the silver wolf paid little mind toward Lux, not even getting a glance at. Lux stood silently, not wanting to get involved since he seemed preoccupied with Yami, yet Yami's attitude was distant. Was this that wolf she was talking about to him? The one that would toss her aside to go to that other female?

Lux just stood in place smiling, trying to lighten the mood. "Ah, hello. It's nice to meet you. I'm a close friend of Yami, known her since she was just a pup." The elder said, watching as she seemed to look out toward the shore. He allowed some light to come off of him and reach towards Yami, just as a comfort.

Lux's ears turned as Yami spoke of not going home yet. Then again, maybe she didn't want it to be known she was going yet. "Don't worry, I will be walking her home after we catch up. She's safe in my paws." Lux simply stated, giving a smile to the silver wolf.

Lux noticed the wolf limping and his old healer skills flooded back, the wolf walked over and bent his head down to sniff his leg. "Don't put too much of your weight down on it, it won't heal properly. I can find some driftwood and some moist seaweed to make a splint for you. It'd make things easier for the healing and the pain. Maybe some poppyseeds?" Lux offered, standing back to give Kodi his space again.

Kodi



"Okay, As long as she's safe." He said in a monotoned voice. "Yeah, that would be greatly appreciated if you could help me, I really need to take this back to Ronoh." He explained to Yami's friend. He seemed odd and he smelt of something strange but he ignored it and let the old timer help him. He looked down at the giant squid. He hoped Lupita would be satisfied with his catch.

Captain looked up as a familiar, yet much larger wolf approaching him. "Eziek? Matey, that be you?" he asked, his toothy grin shining in the bright light. "Aye me boy, how ye been? Ye much bigger than I last saw ye, lass." he nodded happily, also smiling at Mizuki, as she looked extremely happy to be next to Eziek once again. Mizuki smiled back, and looked over at Masika. "Lucky guess," she whispered, feeling Ezieks heart seem to incline as he looked at Captain and Masika. She must have picked up his element the last time they hugged, and with her experience she hadn't even noticed.

Yami watched the males interact, not feelin the need to include her input.she was quiet, but it still hurt her stomach as she saw Kodi in such great pain. Hopefully he would be alright, but for now she would just let lux do the helping, because she would have no idea what to do anyways. Suddenly, she looked up to the sun. Her element seemed to be glowing brighter, and that meant only one thing, her brother was close. The farther they were apart, the weaker she was, and that applied to her brother too, but Ina a much lesser way. This was mch more effective as they were younger, but it wasn't as noticeable as today. "Is he going to be okay?" Yami mumbled to Lux, looking over Kodi from her original seat.

Captain let out a deep chuckle, nodding at the young lad. "Yessirree, this ok wolf air aged a bit!" he said, jokingly. Surely Captain was getting up there, but he was always young at heart. He smiled over at Mizuki, and the two began to mingle a bit before Mizuki turned towards Eziek, giving a grin. "There's Masika, not too far off. Why don't you go and say hello?" she smiled, looking over at Fern. "Fern, would you like anything to eat? I'm sure Captain here wouldnt mind to share." and she was right, Captain nodded to the female and gave anther deep chuckle before his usual toothy grin. "Aye matey! We has a lot of fish to be eaten, right o'er der. Help yer-self, tuh what's left." He smiled at the earthly smelling female.

Dezera

"Then let's find her and bring her home. aI'm sure the lphas aren't too happy." Dezera replied with a snappy attitude. She seemed to be in an annoyed mood, everything made her want to throw acid onto something. The sand was too hot. The air was too humid. The beach was too noisy. Dezera followed after Akemi, keeping close to him before veering off to provide distance. "So, if you were Yami. Where would you be?" She asked, looking around trying to find the wolf. "Is that her?" Dezera asked, pointing her muzzle in the general direction. There were two winged wolves, some gray wolf and a giant sea creature.

Lux

"Of course I will help. I don't want you struggling and in pain when I could help fix it." Lux replied, almost as if Kodi was crazy for thinking otherwise. "Blitz, my friend, could you fetch me some seaweed for the wrap?" He called to his albino squrriel. Blitz seemed to be growing out of it, he looked at Lux for a moment before it processed what was being asked. Blitz climbed down slowly, his tail was ragged and unkempt. Lux hesitated before pressing his nose to his helper.

"On second thought, stay here. I'll go fetch it." Lux got up, figuring it would be the quickest way to get the supplies. Besides, he was sure that Blitz wouldn't be able to carry the items back. The squirrel was aging fast, he was growing more quiet and his body was turing fragile and fatigued. Lux skirted across, humming while picking up and inspecting each moist piece of seaweed. He found a nice twig, a sturdy one, that he placed between his mouth.

Allowing himself to gently glide back, Lux landed from his hovering and folded his wings back into place. He started to examine Kodi, apologizing profusely when he turned it awkwardly which might've been painful.

"Don't worry, Yami, your packmate will be fine." Lux confirmed through his concentrated gaze on Kodi's leg. He quickly ripped off a small piece with his teeth before fastening the twig against Kodi's leg tightly, giving it little room to move.

"Kodi, I want you to keep off this leg as best as you could. It needs to heal properly and if you start straining it, it will get worse or it just won't heal. Give it a few weeks and take a break off it. If you need more fastening, I'm sure your healer will know what to do."

Akemi turned in the direction Dezera pointed, and gave a grunt. "Yup. Thatd be her." he mumbled. Picking up speed as he approached. "Let's get this over with." he said, turning towards Dezera for a moment, just to get a good look at her. Apparently she was having trouble. "You okay?" he asked, but shook off his concern as they were getting close. "Yami. You better come back with us home. You've been gone far too long, and Lupita wants your head for it." Akemi growled, "So do I." he looked up at the older wolf, recognizing him which made him snarl, not to mention, Kodi was here too. Oh, this would be good to explain to Lupita, a perfect way of getting Kodi in trouble. He noticed the male looked weak, which pumped his energy up even more, wishing to get even for bein with Dezera. On the other hand, his energy was forming back stronger for being with his sister. Yami turned abruptly as she heard that voice, and glared at her brother. But, her ears folded back as she imagined Lupita harming Kali, because of her absence. "I'll return, soon enough." she flicked her tail, but Akemi didn't seem satisfied with that answer as he reached out for her, grabbing her by the scruff like a pup and pullin her towards Ronoh. "I don't think so." he muttered, while Yami yelped a bit and looked back at Lux with sad eyes, wanting him to follow but knowing he probably wouldn't now that things got ugly. Oddly enough, she didn't fight back.

Lux

As Lux finished Kodi's make-shift sling, they were quickly joined by a brown wolf and a violet one. He turned his head, finding the brown one most familiar. Lux's thoughts were spot on as Akemi spoke, that was Yami's brother. He seemed rougher than he last remembered. Hearing the snarl, Lux's ears came forward as he stood up fully rather than in the crouched position to tend to Kodi.

"Woah, there." Lux immediatly cried out as things grew rough. He didn't appreciate the fact that Akemi was tossing her around as if she was just some prey to take home. The light wolf wasn't going to sit and allow this to happen before him.

"Akemi, be nice to your sister. Some compassion would make her want to go back rather than this brute force." He barked, stepping forward with a stern expression. He wouldn't fight, but he'd defend Yami if that was what Akemi wanted. "I was just on my way to take her home."
