Birth Month: June Gender: female Element: Water Physical Description: Completely covered in scales, Enkai appears more fish than wolf. If not tiny grey fish scales on her paws and most of her body, she is covered by leathery, aquamarine skin that contains pockets of glowing bacteria that illuminate in the dark. On her neck are four gills to allow her to breath, and inside her chest are two lungs that help her breath on land, but she cannot run quickly on earth as they are not developed enough. She has a sail on her back, and on her shoulder blades that act like rudders. Her tail is split into many parts, all connected by a teal membrane. The longest ends both have a diamond that glows. Two more antennae are on her forehead, always glowing to attract prey to her. Thin whiskers around her mouth help her feel where she is, like a cat’s and her mouth if full of tiny, needle-sharp teeth. Enkai’s eyes are an eerie black, adapted to life far beneath the ocean that reflects little light, and also makes it extremely difficult to go out during the day. Personality: Enkai is extremely skittish and will flee if anyone approaches her too quickly. Being what others deem a ‘freak of nature’, Enkai is highly sensitive and will often take things the wrong way and become insulted. When angered, she can summon huge waves to pound into her opponents. She is very snappy and moody, so trying to figure out her emotions can be difficult. She often is curious, and always wants to know more-even at a high expense. When you get to know her, she is fiercely defensive and will stop at nothing if a threat is in her way. History: Born to a rare pack of sea-wolves in the Atlantic, Enkai had never known the topside world. Sure, there were other wolves, usually brave hunters that had gone to the surface and brought back amazing treasures and stories. She became envious and was determined to go, but her parents rejected her idea. Undeterred, she slipped out one night, planning to poke around a little bit and return before they even knew she was gone. Enkai didn’t plan on a hurricane. It blew her away from her home and into a strange new world and she has never been able to find her way back. She has a serrated shell, and tends to swim backwards if endangered or upset. Personality: Nami is usually very quiet and is extremely shy, not liking to go anywhere near another wolf, until she trusts them completely, and even then she might not appear to them. She cares deeply for Enkai and will do anything to protect her. She often goes out on her own and doesn’t show again for sometimes days at a time, but it usually back at sunset. Other: Sometimes called ‘Uxe-buu’ by her wolf.
