New Wolf Era

Joker

He smield at the femals and watched as a bird settled down on it.He laughed and tried to bring up fern's.They came up but as soon as they grew to be sustantial for life they wilted and died.He sighed and figured he could make this a mossed part of the forest but pushing the dead into the charred tree's.

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

She gave her ear a little twitch, making the bone earring on the tip flop dramatically. "This is about all I wear." she mused, looking up and laughing a bit as the tip of her ear flipped forward like usual. Cadaver hopped over to it, lightly mouthing it with his beak before suddenly shooting up to peer at the tree that had suddenly rose. Marionette gasped a bit, her eyes flashing silver. Wincing, she shook her head off, turning to look at the earth wolf that was now in their midst.

"Stop that." she said in a choked voice at first. Clearing her throat, she spoke up a bit louder this time. "Stop that." she warned him, watching as he tried to make ferns grow, only to have them return to the dark, ashy soil. "The souls that live in this forest remain to see their forest be reborn naturally. They don't want your help. Half the forest grew back on its own, and this side can too." she said rather defensively, her tail tucking in a hostile manner, rather than a submissive one. She had always disliked earth wolves; they poked their little noses into things that they didn't understand. Sometimes an instant fix wasn't the answer.

Grumbling under her breath, her eyes continued flashing silver as some of the more aggressively tempered souls swirled around her. Slinking to sit a ways away from the group, she sat derisively by one of the ashen, dead trees, curling her tail around it. Her ears were flipped back, and her bloody eyes gleamed. This was a completely different side of Marionette than had been displayed so far, not anything like the softly spoken little doll she usually was. Cadaver cawed as if to echo her rebellion, circling Joker a few times, swooping down and almost skimming over his head, before darting up and landing in the tree that Marionette was sitting beside.

*eclipse*

Eclipse still hadn't found his helper. " Where is that annoying little bird..." He growled softly. He stopped abruptly, spotting Midnight on the tree in front of him. "Don't worry, I'm not mad at you, silly. You can come down now." Eclipse said when Midnight tilted her head and hopped along the branch.

Midnight hopped off the branch, spread her wings and suddenly flew towards the group of wolves she had seen before, intent on causing a little more mischief. She let out a raucous caw, saying "Catch me if you can!"

"Hey! Get back here!" Knowing that whatever his helper was trying to do wasn't going to end well, he sighed and took off after Midnight.

Joker

Joker turned to the female that had so very brutally adressed him.He growled in a defensive tone."The spiret's eh?"He laughed and then said "This is growing up narully..it's not a plastic tree now is it?"He stared at her and said "I will not stop because unless your to simple minded to realize your not a earth wolf then there I told you.This part of the forest will NOT grow on it's own.It need serious help.These so called spirt's might have to wait thousand of year's in order to have there forest back.I am simply speeding up the process so if you don't mind I would like you to keep your comment's and spiret's to youreslef."

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

Marionette licked her lips, standing up as she stalked over to Joker. "Obviously, Mr. Earth Wolf, you don't realize how a burnt forest works. Things die, and then rise from the ashes like the mythical bird this forest is named after. The ashes are like fertilizer, and they help the new generation of the forest grow. If you want some proof, trot your tail over to the other half." she hissed, displaying her gleaming, off white fangs as she began to circle Joker. Her eyes still wildly flashed from silver to red, and occasionally she shook her head, panting.

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

Marionette laughed darkly. "Oh if there were a Ghost wolf here right now I would let the inhabitants of this forest themselves give you a what-for. If you don't believe a burnt forest can grow back, why don't you look at the border between the grown and this part. The life is seeping into this side, and will continue to do so. Please. Take your growth somewhere else, to the other side. Make it sparkle or whatever, but let this do what it wishes naturally." she said, containing herself for now. A small bit of white fog seeped out of her mouth, and she lightly pressed on his soul. Something that couldn't be felt, really, but hopefully there was a small mental change going on as she tried to influence him to reconsider. She was no psychic wolf, and therefore could not directly change his stance by force, but the soul, some said, was the gateway to the heart, and hopefully by feeling what she felt directly through the souls of the forest, he would change his mind. "Please. I'm asking you nicely." she said, dropping her aggressive stance, her face pleading.

Calique

Calique nodded. "Better?" she wondered to Marionette.

Banshee

He laughed as the wolf walked away and he said "Stupid earth wolves
think they can do whatever they want.."His black shadows reaching out
hoping they would soothe his temper. The black swirled around him his
black pelt glinting in the dim light.

Banshee

He smiled at her."Earth wolves are a little too bright for me."He watched the ground and the black swirling from his paws. He opened his maw and howled black leaving his mouth too. He was happy at the moment. The wolf looked at the fea and said "Its fine we all have angered moments."His eyes were black and with the shadow's swirling around him you couldn't see him at all. A little bat swooped around the shadow's making them scatter on the edges. It was the darkness and he loved it.

Hakix

Hakix flew just barely over the tree tops, with his head down. His neck bind was really weighing on him today, which usually meant there were other wolves around. It burned slightly, and Hakix's steady flight tilted. He regained his composure quickly, for he was used to instances like this. His helper Calix flew just a his side, keeping an easy pace with Haxik's laboured flight. "Maybe we should rest?" the cardinal suggested nervously.

Haxik would have usually said no, but he was hitting tree branches now and all six of his binds felt like lead. He sighed and plummeted to the ground, landing off-balance and falling to his side. Calix dropped down with a scared expression. "Haxik?" he wondered. The wolf sighed and folding his wings, moving to his feet. "I'm ok," he said in a tired voice, just above a whisper. When Haxik stood up straight, he was very tall and quite muscular. He shook himself and looked down, which was more confortable with his heavy neck bind. He never stood up straight anymore. A small tear formed at Haxik's eye. These binds made it almost impossible for him to fly like he used to, and it always made him sad.

Calix whimpered for his companion. "Don't think about it Haxik, it wasn't your fault. One day we'll find someone strong enough to remove those bonds," he said encouragingly, always being optomistic. "Calix, i can promise you, we will never find another hidden wolf with a strong enough spirit to remove all of the bonds. It will never happen," Haxik said sadly. He looked at his wings, perfectly white and unscarred, now streched around him. They would never again be able to reach their full potential.

Suddenly Haxik was brought to his knees in pain. Both of the binds on his left arm were burning and so was the one on his neck. Haxik gasped as the pain began to subside. "There is a time and soul wolf in the area," he said simply. Haxik licked the area around the golden bond that was tightest, the one around his left shoulder. "A soul wolf," he repeated sadly.

"Why don't we visit them? Maybe being close to a wolf of the other side can help ease your pain. Maybe the one of the spirits whose energy is trapped in those bonds will resurface, and the pain would stop." Calix said optomistically yet again. "Perhaps," Haxik said, and began to trot in the direction where he felt air disturbances, most likely caused by other wolves.

He came to a small clearing, where the dense forest suddenly changed to barren land. He spotted a small group of wolves talking, and his left arm throbbed with pain. He whimpered, but not enough so any of the wolves could hear.

He emerged from the tree he was hiding behind, and tried to move up to the wolves with confidence. He tried to hold his head up, but the bind made it difficult. "Hello," he said to the group in his deep, hearty voice. He remained outside of their small circle, waiting to be welcomed in. Haxik could tell the soul wolf right away, and stared at her. The bond on his left shoulder vibrated with energy.

Calix pulled at Haxik's ear in an effort to stop him from staring.

Haxik

"Yes, shiny," he agreed with the bird, providing a dry chuckle. "Hello. And as for pain...well maybe a bit," he admitted, dipping his head again. Calix flew around Marionette and Haxik sighed. "I'm Haxik," he said, meeting her eyes once more.

Banshee

He watched as the female touched his shadows. He

expanded them and they engulfed her probably chilled her

too. He pulled them away and then let them sprawl on the

ground lazily. The black swooped up and around her paws

and he said "Lovely aren’t they?"He smiled at her.

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

She nodded thoughtfully, her brows furrowing as she looked at his expression. The pain seemed to be mounting, and and remnants of silver in her irises disapated as she withdrew from his soul. "Yes, I am a soul wolf. How did you know?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. Soul wasn't an easy element to diagnose most of the time. That just made he all the more curious about him, and she pursed her lips, wrapping her tail around her paws.

Cadaver cawed a bit, his head tilting back and forth with jerky motions. His beady black eyes were tuned in to the bracers all over Haxik's body, probably still fascinated by the shininess.

Banshee

He laughed and said "Most think so but I find them

inviting."He watched her bird and gave a sly smile

to the bird."I don't think your helper enjoys my

company as much as you do..."

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

Her lips formed a small 'o' of recognition, and she laughed sheepishly. "Ah. I'm sorry. I'll keep my powers to myself then... I do that to everyone new I meet... to see if they're trustworthy or not..." she said, trailing off and looking behind her at Banshee and Calique. She felt a little worried about Calique; she liked the other girl, and hoped she know what she was doing. Marionette had been around dark wolves a lot growing up, she was used to them, but to someone who had never had much experience with them, it was easy to get swallowed up.

As Haxik spoke again, she turned her head back to face him, nodding. "Yeah, I am pretty curious... your soul seemed... tormented, I guess would be the best word. Weighty." she commented, her brows furrowing as she recalled the feeling she had gotten and tried to describe it.

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

Marionette's eyes lit up with fascination, and she nodded solemnly. "Ah. I see. Well I am sorry to have unknowingly caused you pain..." she murmured, peering at the ring. "And it is truly unfortunate that you were convicted of such a thing. It really is terrible. Have you never met a metal wolf? Couldn't they take them off for you?" she asked, leaning forward a little to get a better look.

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

Marionette sighed and noidded agreeably. "Yes, I suppose that is true." She couldn't have known; it wasn't exactly every day that something like this happened. "Well... if a metal wolf can't do it, how are they supposed to come off? There isn't a metal I know of that a decent one can't pull it off... Perhaps the souls are uneasy? Maybe the energies need to be put to rest... though that doesn't make sense; they should know it wasn't you... Ohhh." she groaned, bending down and ruffling the fur atop her head in a gesture of frustration. This was all unusual and complicated.

Noting that he was still in pain despite her restrainment of powers, she looked around her at the souls she could so clearly see. "Please, for a while, return to your homes." she murmured to them, and they obeyed, fading off to become one with the forest again. In addition, Marionette backed up some, giving him a hopeful look. This was all she could do if he decided to stick around.

Haxik

Haxik looked up to see a new wolf, armour obviously. He sighed and looked back to Marionette. "You need not worry about me. I have lived like this for quite some time. I am ok," he said a bit hopefully to her. Calix took to the air and swirled around the new wolfs head in an almost question. "Hello," Haxik said in return, providing a weak grin of his own. Haxik beat his wings, creating a huge gust of wind that died down when his wings returned to his sides.

Haxik

Haxik smiled wickedly. "I would like to think so," He said, remembering how good of a fighter he used to be. "Not one exactly for fight though, i'm more of a flight type," he added. He remembered how he used to never run from a fight, he would always stay and hoold his own. But after he recieved his binds, all of that changed.

Haxik

Haxik retaliated in shock. What wolf would do this, unprovoked and in front of a pup? Haxik felt a tear in his shoulder, and his brace around his neck burned. He snarled in defense and danced out of the way, wings outstrenched. He lifted into the air as Calix took a spot up in a tree, safe from harm. Haxik hovered above the wolf, just out of reach. Being close to so many wolves, especially ones who possesed the elements in his binds, was making him very weak. He could feel the strain on his wings even after such a short time of flight.

Haxik looked at Marionette with a woorried expression, he was sure the wolf would go for her next. Haxik landed in front of her gracefully and took a defensive stance. "Who do you think you are to attack me?" he snarled, his eyes flashing with a dirty silver. His voice took on an eerie quality as he spoke, almost like a whistling wind.

Kenpachi + Yachiru

The massive wolf whirled around and bore his fangs. His mood quickly changed from anger into a very bored one. "Who do I think I am to attack you? I am Kenpachi Zaraki, and you did say that you thought yourself good at fighting. I wanted to see how good. But now I see that you are a weakling, therefore not worth my time." His jaws flew open in pain, silent in a cry.

Yachiru let out a shrill yip as she felt her head constrict. "Kenny!" she managed to get out before she lay still on the ground.

Kenpachi's head snapped around to his adopted daughter before whirling to the darkly colored wolf on the ground. "You punk!" he roared, his widely known bloodlust raging into his veins. He threw himself at the strange wolf, knocking aside the air wolf and aimed a powerful paw to the female's body.

Haxik

Haxik growled, and flipped the air pattern so the male flew to the left of Marionette. He moved back in front of her, clearly angry, with his wings wide open in defense. "You are the punk," he roared, his voice commanding and fierce.

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

Marionette laughed merrily, leaping toward him while he had his back turned to attack Haxik. She lightly bumped into his shoulder, more of an annoyance than anything, leaping back soon after. "Fight with my all? Darling in her situation I really would not be asking for my all. That might result in her formation into a... well, puppet, really." she drawled, prancing over to Yachiru and patting her shoulder lightly with her paw, as if comforting her. "Aww. Poor thing. She really does seem to be uncomfortable."
