bic: Kenpachi +Yachiru

Kenpachi snarled as the disk of air clipped his shoulders and snapped at the male wolf, trying to get a hold of something in his teeth. His bracelets! They must have been weakening him. The longer he fought, the weaker he became. The large wolf reared and pawed at the air, then surging forward, trying to get momentum, and aiming to smash the annoying air wolf against something hard.

Yachiru's brown eyes weakly opened. Kenny wasn't doing too well. She felt a paw on her shoulder, and grew angry. The pain wasn't getting any worse, and if she had learned anything from her adoptive father, it was pain was fear leaving the body. Her eyes locked onto the provoking paw and she raised her head and sank her teeth into it. "Stop bothering me." She growled.

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

Marionette simply rolled her eyes and clenched tightly on the pup’s soul for a very brief second, just enough to hopefully get a scream or yelp out of her. She shook her paw off, setting it down on the ground and ignoring the dull pain. The pup’s small teeth had barely broken the skin, a day or two and it would be just fine. Seeing that just the pup wasn’t working, she focused on Kenpachi again, watching the souls swirl around him as they attempted to not only fill him with all kinds of dread and horrible feelings, but pain worse than any heartache. To Marionette, there wasn’t much worse than a well trained soul wolf trying to constrict your soul with their powers. There was no way to really stop the pain; it was like the worst heartache possible, only in your soul.

 
For a moment she considered just trying to go on and take his soul. Just for a moment to allow Haxik to escape… his arm obviously wasn’t doing well with this display of power. Her eyes glowed pure silver as she focused, the spirits swirling closer and faster around him as the mist moved more out of her mouth. She was going to try it; she was going to take his soul. Of course she would give it right back when they were away, and it wouldn’t kill him… just render him a helpless sack of frozen meat, that’s all.

Kenpachi+ Yachiru

Yachiru gave a tiny yelp and let go, dropping harmlessly onto the ground. She was slow to pick herself up, and gaining her strength, tried to ram into Marionette's leg.

Kenpachi paused in his attack and gave a low whimper. All of a sudden he felt so much pain and sadness. A tear forced itself out of his eye and down his cheek. He turned and snarled at the black wolf. He stopped again, feeling a wrenching tug, like something had been stabbed through him. Something was tearing from within him, and for the first time in his life, he felt weak, the same kind of weakness that death soon follows. He was dying. Kenpachi's great head turned toward Yachiru, and he watched her get up again and fight. She was so brave, and so young. He had done his best to protect her. "Ya...chiru..." He had just managed to get out before his dark eyes rolled to the top of his head and fell to the ground.

Pink ears perked up to her adopted father's voice and her head turned to watch him fall to the ground. "Kenny!" she screamed, forgetting her attack and running over to her fallen father. She nudged his muzzle hard, trying to get him up. When he didn't, she turned on the other two wolves with anger in her brown eyes. She growled, her mane bristling and her puppy teeth bared.

Eclipse blushed a little, glad that his fur hid it. "Errrr... Yes it was me... I blame her." He shot a glare at Midnight who had landed on his wingtip and was looking extremely smug. Eclipse sighed. "These wings are pretty useless sometimes." He flapped his wings a little just to dislodge midnight.

"Hey! You're no fun sometimes, you know that?" Midnight smoothed her rumpled feathers on the ground while looking at the swaying snake, wondering if it was tasty.

Eclipse glanced over at Midnight. "Ummm... Is that snake your helper? I think my pesky little bird wants a snack."

Haxik

Haxik looked gratefully at Marionette. She had saved him, that was sure. "Pup move," he commanded, moving closer to the fallen wolf. He was limping slightly, not from a cut or injury, but from the burning of his brace as Marionette's powers escalated. He stopped right before Kenpachi's body and looked down, his maw wide in excitement. He looked at Marionette in question. "Should i kill this wolf?" he asked her.

Haxik looked down and considered the consequences of this murder. Could he live with it? His binds brought him enough pain, did he need this tortured soul at his shoulder?

A laugh was heard in the trees. Yachiru's ears perked up to it. It sounded strange, but familiar at the same time. Her vision turned back to Haxik. "Don't touch Kenny!" She snarled, a faint pink light starting to emanate from her. "I'll kill you!" The light grew stronger, spreading its rays along the forest floor. "I'm warning you. Don't mess with him!" The wild laughing grew stronger and louder.

"I'd better do what she says." The shadows called in a mocking tone. "Pups who get their elements are often...unpredictable..."

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

The pup attempted to ram her, and Marionette leaped to the side, her reflexes quick. It wouldn't have hurt; at her young age the pup was barely half grown, and while Marionette was indeed a tiny little thing, she was sturdy, the pup was liable to hurt herself more than Marionette.

As soon as the large armor wolf fell, all sign of her power disappeared from Marionette in an attempt to soothe the no doubt throbbing pain in Haxik's body. She shook her head at him, "No, just leave him. At the moment his soul is in my possession, there's nothing he can do now; his body is a mountain of flesh and fur. I'll give his soul back when we're safe." she said while trotting to his side. "If you can fly, do it." she said, looking over at Yachiru. "Take this as a lesson, whelp. You mess with the rose, you get the thorns." she said, giving her a wink. "Try to instil some of that in your precious little Kenny, here, and tell him to get the hell out of this forest if he intends to cause anymore trouble." she ordered, almost like an Alpha with her authorative stance. It was kind of funny on her, really... she wasn't very threatening visually aside from her kind of creepy appearance.. but when she was mad, well, that was kind of scary.

Looking at Haxik, she jerked her head to the side, ushering him to go. If the pup didn't intend to back off like what was smart... well, she would just reap her soul too, and call it that. She was starting to glow like she intended to fight them, but unpredictable or not, without proper training, fighting two experienced wolves was pointless. She could fire off bolts of whatever she wanted, but Marionette would get away, no pup was going to best her.

Yachiru's gaze stayed locked onto Marionette and the other winged one. "I hate you. When I grow up, I'm going to find you, and kill you." Her pink tail swayed back and forth as she held her position, trying to be intimidating like her father would have been. Another growl exited her throat.

Haxik chuckled. "Little girl, you do not know to whom you speak. Marionette posseses an element that many fear, and rightfully so." he said slowly and looked back to the female. "I will not leave unless you leave with me," he said simply. He was a male after all, it was his job to protect his friends. He might be weak but he was not helpless.

Yachiru barked angrily. "Kenny wouldn't fear her, so neither do I!" She snapped, flexing her almost non-existent muscles. "You'd better leave, or you're going to be next!"

Kyrra cracked a smile at Eclipse's comment, before frowning at the statement of his wings. She shook her head, "Oh, they don't seem that useless." She added, trying to make him feel better. She quickly walked around him and inspected his wings. "They are mighty big." She added on, returning where she was standing last. She gently lowered herself into a sitting position, this dark wolf was much nicer than that previous one.

A nasty hiss was heard from Sylar, "You can try and fail, I will put up a fight and I will inject venom into your blood with my bite." The snake lifted himself higher in a more challenging way.

Kyrra nodded to the large black wolf, "Yes, the snake is my helper. Excuse his rudeness." She apologized, shrugging her shoulders to quiet him for a rebuttle.

"Foolish pup," He said, shaking his head. "Sometimes being a good fighter requires fear. It keeps you alive. The gods gave you fear for a reason," he said nobely. He knew this well, for Haxik had fled many battles in order to stay alive. Fear was why he was alive. He towered over this small pink pup, but was amazed at her boldness in the face of death. Not many have that strength.

Yachiru stayed silent. She should not, would not budge to this male who thought he knew everything. The small pink pup puffed herself up to make her look more intimidating as he towered over her. "I'm not afraid of you, either." she growled.

Marionette grinned darkly. "Kenny is a bit out of comish right now. He can't fear anything." she said, looking at Haxik. "I intend to leave, I'll follow you on the ground, okay?" she said, moving in closer to whisper into his ear. "There's a big clearing where a huge tree was for a while. It's gone now but the ring of shoved aside trees is unmistakeable. Meet me there?" she said, before moving off to the side, heading for the tree line, where it was darker and she would blend in. Before she slipped into the darker parts, she looked at Yachiru. "I'll be waiting for that day. Put up a good fight, ey? I know I will." she said, a resounding laughter being all that was left as she blended in with the dark trees.

Haxik

Haxik nodded to Marionette. He took to the air in a great gust of wind, and hovered above the ground near the pup for a few seconds longer.

"You should be," he growled fiercely, as a huge gust of wind pelted the little girl. He returned to a higher altitude, Calix now at his side. "Cruel," he said simply. "She needed to learn, and so did he," Haxik replied, trying to justify his actions that he knew were wrong.

Haxik sighed as he flew, and spotted the clearing Marionette had spoken of. The binds were really weighing on Haxik today, especially his left shoulder, and he grunted in pain. He cool breeze on his face from flying turned to a harsh wind as he plummeted to the ground near the clearing. He shook himself from the impact and trotted to the center of the grass. He just couldn't get a nice landing today. Calix landed on the ground next to him softly. "That's what you get for using your powers so harshly," he commented.

Yachiru glared at Marionette. "Yeah. I'll be big and strong, and I'll kill you." She snarled at her retreating form. Her eyes flickered onto the wolf with the bracelets. "I shouldn't. You should be afraid of Kenny when he wakes up!" she warned darkly. She continued growling until she couldn't even smell the two wolves. Her pink-and-white-furred body relaxed and she turned back to her fallen father. She sniffled, tears falling down her face. Yachiru nudged him again. "Kenny...Kenny, wake up..." she whispered into his battle-torn ears. She howled at the sky, then curled up near his muzzle, her face touching his. She shivered, feeling eerily alone. "Kenny..."

Marionette:// "Take a deep, deep breath... I'm dying just to wrap these strings around your neck..."

Marionette ran hard and fast through the trees, her tongue lolling out of her mouth and her strides short, but fast. Cadaver flew at her shoulder, and they both skillfully winded through the trees, carefully dodging any obstacles. It was only when she was sure she was at a nice, safe distance that she stopped. She closed her eyes, the mist trailing out of her mouth again. Souls spun around her, one breaking off to shoot back inthe direction she had come. Kenpachi's of course, going back to his body. At worse, the brute would feel a bit weak, maybe a little queasy, nothing that wouldn't pass.

Looking around, Marionette spotted a puddle, and dived in, rolling around. She doubted they would come after her this soon, but just to be sure. Haxik's scent would be distorted by the wind, and this took care of hers. Looking to her crow, she jerked her head to the side. "C'mon, let's go." she said, continuing on her journey to the rendezvous point she had set up with the air wolf.

When she arrived, she stopped a bit of a distance away, nodding to him. "I'm sorry you had to see that side of me. I'm not usually like that. I just don't take kindly to unprecedented attacks on me or my uh... quaintences." she said with a smile. She didn't know whether to call him a friend or not. He was nice, she liked him, but they had just met, so it was still up in the air. Based off what had just happened, he could think her cruel (which she wouldn't deny) and not speak to her again. Of course, if that were the case, would he have come? In any case, she sat down, curling her wet tail over her equally damp paws, peering at him steadily.

Haxik nodded his understanding with a knowing smile. "'Tis quite alright. I was not too fond of him either. You are very strong," he commented. He would have never guessed that a wolf so petite could hold so much power, but it was not unheard-of. He admired her courage and was thinking about it, weighing what she and him had done, when he noticed she was damp.

"Your wet," he noted, remembering she probably did it to alter her scent."Are you cold?" he wondered, since there was a slight breeze. Before she even answered, Haxik changed the wind patterns so a warmer breeze floated through the air to hit Marionette gently. He smiled meekly at her.

Marionette smiled, and nodded. "Yes, I am sorry that I had to hurt the pup, but they should both make a quick and easy recovery." she said with a shrug, looking off to the side. Honestly she wasn't too pleased with that, she wished she had left a scar or two... but what could you do, right? "Oh, thanks." she said with a soft laugh at his compliment. "I was well trained in my old pack." she said, looking at her paws.

At his question, she shivered a bit, having not noticed it up until then. Before she even could get a word out the air was warmed, and she smiled thankfully to him. "Thank you very much." she said, dipping her head. She shook her body off to rid herself of the excess water, before sitting down and enjoying the breeze, wondering what to do now.

"I was trained well as well. Before all of this," he motioned to his heavy bonds. "I had been a revered warrior in my old pack," he smiled at the fonder memories. "What pack did you previously belong to?" he wondered.

"He doesn't seem nearly as bad as Midnight. My wings are incapable of flight. All they can do is help scare things off." Eclipse shook his head.

Midnight spread her wings and took off with a few small pebbles in her claws. "Eh heh heh. The little snake can't get me." She cackled and dropped her pebbles onto Sylar. She flew back down to pick up more rocks then went back to harassing the snake.

Eclipse sighed resignedly ."See what I mean? Midnight, get back down right now and apologize!" He growled loudly but the crow just cackled and swooped down for more rocks.

Kyrra shook her head, "Ah, they might not be good for flight. But, I'm sure if you are falling, I think you could open your wings and glide. I'm not an expert on wings, though, so I wouldn't take my advice." She smiled, letting her striped tail curl neatly at her paws. "And it depends on what your trying to scare?"

Sylar flickered his tongue in the air, letting himself uncoil and slide down Kyrra and hissed. "Why you..." He started, nearing Eclipse's paws, knowing that the perfect way to kill that bird would be through the helper. He got ready to snap at the darkness wolf, before Kyrra swiftly latched her paw in front of Sylar and dragged him backwards. "No, you will not harm him right now." She ordered, letting the snake slink it's way around Kyrra's paws and rested there, staring angrily at the raven.

She shook her head, "Nah, I think you have just a trouble maker. I apologize for my helper almost biting you." She said, growing red from embarassment.

She looked at the bonds, and gave a thoughtful frown. "Yes, I imagine those do hinder you. Especially when fighting against a corresponding element, it must have been horrible, me using all that power. You covered it up impressively, though. I don't know many with the drive to block something like that out." she commended, geniunely impressed by the male's resolve. "I hail from a pack called Angra Mainyu. We were a pack made up of dark, soul, and ghost wolves." she explained, shaking her head a bit to move a bit of misplaced fur.

Haxik smiled. "Thank you. This shoulder will indeed hurt for a few days, but nothing so severe that i will never recover." Haxik thought of the pain oh the little battle, and his arm burned once more. He shrugged off all thoughts of the fight and focused souly on Marionette.

"That is quite interesting," he noted when she spoke of her old pack. It must have been very difficult to suceed there, he thought to himself.

Kenpachi(finally) + Yachiru

Kenpachi's eyes snapped open and he gasped for air, startling the pink pup. His airways were soon constricted by the energetic Yachiru. "Kenny! Kenny!" she cooed over and over again, rubbing her nose into his chin like a cat. The large wolf gazed with admiration at his daughter. He smiled gently. "Yachiru..." he whispered into her ear. Kenpachi licked her head. "You were brave." he told her, nuzzling her gently. Yachiru squealed and pressed herself into all the nooks and crannies of his neck. "After you fell, they were mean, and said a lot of mean things! But I wasn't scared! They also said for us to leave. I told the evil wolf that I was gonna grow up and kill her." She informed him, feeling very proud of herself.

Kenpachi grinned and hauled himself to his feet, feeling quite dizzy. The brute started to walk off, but then turned his head around and looked at the pink pup. "You comming?" With a cry of excitement, the pink blur rocketed from her spot and into the dip between his shoulder blades. For good measure, she nipped playfully at the bells in his mane, making them dingle happily.

The large brute grinned at her before stalking away to a different area, away from the two wolves.

Banshee had pulled Calique back when the fight began.His shadow's had coverd him and her rendering them invisable the whole time.He watched her carfully almost protectivly.He doidn't want her to get hurt.

She nodded in understanding, looking his arm over. "Well that's good. I'm sorry my defending was probably a bit more hurtful than anything." she said with an uneasy chuckle. It was funny, now that she thought about it. What if someone used their powers to help him, but one of the bands reacted, like they just had? Healing must be a real bother in any way aside from herbs.

"Yeah, I guess. It was a pretty rough and tumble place, but it wasn't all bad... there were a lot of good times there." she said in a fond sort of tone, an easy smile on her face, just like usual. It seemed all traces of agressiveness and anger from the fight had disapated completely.

Calique

Calique shivered at the shadows that covered her. They were cold as ice, but comforting in an eerie way. She sighed her content and listened, it was if the shadows were speaking. It was a language she did not understand, made of pain and hurt and sorrow.

Somewhere in the dark cloud she had found Banshee's side and leaned into him. She nuzzled into his fur and let the shadows roll over her with a happy smile on her face.

Tala, on the other hand, was not pleased at Calique. Suddenly she had dissapeared from her vision. The vulture cawed anrily, and waited in a tree for her mistress to reappear.

Haxik

"That sounds lovely," he commented, wondering what exactly her pack had been like. Haxik put a bit of pressure on his burning leg to test it out, and sighed deeply as pain shot through his body. His face remained impessive; for that small amount of pain was none compared to what he had felt when Marionette had used her powers.

"And i am glad you did help though, i am a bit impaired," he chuckled dryly. When he had been without bonds, defending himself and others had been no problem. But now, with the horrible gold shackles, he could barely hold his own. Haxik didn't even want to think of what could have happened if Marionette had not been present.

Marionette chuckled, and shook her head. "Looking back, lovely isn't the word I would use. When I say rough, I mean it was rough. Especially for new members that weren't born into it." she said with a small laugh.

"Well, it's all behind us now." she mused, looking off to the side. The wolves had hopefully left by now; she shouldn't be seeing them for a while.

"Indeed," he noted, looking where Marionette had turned her head. "So what were we chatting about before we were so rudely interrupted?" he mused, chuckling slightly. He movement made his neck brace burn, as if to tell him any happiness was not allowed. He sighed but continued to smile.

He sighed softly as she leaned into him. He licked her and knew the shadows were

probably chilling her. He let then fan around her paws and they slid down to the

ground and slinking up his legs and disappearing into his fur. He smiled at her lightly.

"Chilly," she said with a small chuckle as the shadows receeded. Immediately she felt warmer, and she shivered at the sudden change in tempurature. She smiled at Banshee warmly and giggled with a nervous glance in her companion's direction.

"Maybe... Never fell long enough to use them before though." Eclipse looked down to the snake by his paw mildly until Kyrra ordered Sylar to back off. " Actually little snake, it wouldn't really have done much to me." Eclpise's tone was light and pleasant, as if he were talking about the weather instead a a poisonous snake bite. He dipped his head respectfully. "Actually, it is I who must apologize. Midnight! Come here!" He growled loudly, "apologize."

Midnight cackled harshly and flew over to land on her masters wing and rolled her eyes. "Fine, I apologize. Sorry. Happy now?" She said said sarcastically.

Kyrra shrugged, "Yeah, I guess you wouldn't be too eager to glide down a cliffside with the possibility of getting trapped below without a way to get back up." She commented in a casual voice.

Sylar let out a simple threatning hiss at Eclipse, still being suspicious of the wolf. Sylar just stared at Midnight with black, beady eyes. His gaze was emotionless.

Kyrra felt her headache return and she closed her eyes silently.

"North," she said simply, her eyes shining pink for a moment as a memory flashed through her mind. It was of the home she used to have, and she sighed at the thought.

Calique laid down slowly next to Banshee, streching like a cat. She kept her eyes on him the whole time, smiling. She was very close to his side, and she could feel the skin underneath his fur. She put her head down on his paws and sighed. Her pink-tipped tail surled around his softly and she giggled.

"What about you?" she purred, glancing up for just a moment.

He smiled and he said "Everywhere. I grew up as a loner so I was never in one spot for very long."At her slight gestures of companionship he wanted to pull away till he thought about it. He sighed and licked her ear softly. Trying to make his shadows as warm as possible so she would feel more wrapped in a blanket then freezing water.

"Thats so interesting," she said with a nod of her head. At Banshee's lick she smiled, but was puzzled by his sigh. She got up quickly and stood in front of him. "Something wrong?" she wondered.

Calique's insecurity was showing and she knew it. She always thought she was doing something wrong. Tala sat nearby in the shadows nervously, watching her mistress.

Midnight kept her shiny black eyes glued to Sylar. There was a touch of amusement, hostility and something else in them.
Eclipse noticed Kyrra closing her eyes. "Are you okay? Anything wrong?" A slight touch of concern was in his voice. Eclipse shook his head a little. Why did he even care about this other wolf? Didn't he have enough to think about already?

"Ooohh," she smiled and shivered as she got chills from his wing. It felt good though, and she sighed in content. "I like you too," she mused, putting her face right in front of Banshee's. A devious look winked across her eyes and was gone. Calique wanted this moment in time to last forever, and her thoughts began to drift to her element.

Kyrra slowly let her violet eyes open, "Oh, it's nothing really. Just one of my normal, massive headaches is all." She said, plastering a fake smile to show she was alright. Sylar gave a small hiss and tightened his grip around Kyrra, knowing that she was lying. The helper knew the wolf to the point where he could detect truth from lie. Kyrra felt her eyes daze out, knowing that her power was coming to her. She would hide it from Eclipse and clamp her eyes shut.

She was watching something, as if by the future. It was Calique and...the darkness wolf, Banshee. She let out a faint growl, wishing that Calique was going to be alright. She could see their future, well, their possible future if this present was leading in the correct path. Her eyes were shut tight, but watching this with wide eyes at the future in front of her. She let out a soft gasp and opened her eyes, shaking her head bitterly and looking around wearily as if the future was here and about to come true. She felt her heart beat wildly before Sylar whispered encouragement allowing her to relax.
