New Wolf Era

Kali

She nodded to Braxton as he headed in the opposite direction. "See you around Braxton!" She called, waving a paw to him before turning to head her separate way. She wasn't feeling well at all. Surely her mother knew what to do.  Kali headed towards the den, ears low and her eyes constantly flicking to check over her shoulder, constantly feeling as though she was being watched.

Dante

Dante was taken down easily, his muscles lacked strength as he was pushed deep into the snow. Ignoring his comment, Dante snapped aimlessly at the air before curling his neck around to try and snap at Akemi's paws to release his grip so he could get back to his paws. Dante didn't want to hear his lecture, even if it was something he wanted to hear and learn. Dante wanted nothing to do with this wolf, despite what his sister wanted to do. Fine, she could be a fool then.

Dante wasn't even planning a launch, just a natural reaction to the darkness overwhelming the yearling while filled while on edge. He wasn't buying this act of Akemi's, every fiber in his being was going against the wolf.

Protect your land and behind? That teen wasn't threatening, just stupid for invading. She deserved a beating to serve as a reminder of what happens upon crossing unannounced into packlands...but death? She didn't deserve it. Dante squirmed under Akemi's leg, trying to push off away from the wolf. His throat clenched in a growl and he wasn't going to answer Akemi.

As much as he wanted to stay for Blaire, as he would do anything that his sister asked him too. He always felt the need to play the big brother role. But this time, Dante wasn't going to budge on his decision. To show this, Dante purposely unraveled his tail from his grasp.

Dante

Blaire's insult stung more than anything that any wolf had ever said to him. His ears automatically flattened down. What was happening to her? He turned to watch her run off into the distance. His lips turned into a frown before a fire ignited in his eyes at Akemi's words.

Dante seethed through his fangs, his tongue barely flickered across the tips of them as he rolled to his paws once Akemi got off him and toward the dead wolf. "But you're not alpha. If they say I must deal with you, I'll do it with a silent hatred." Dante shook the snow off his spine, before taking a few steps away from him. "I can become something wonderful without your help, thank you very much." Dante shot a glare at him, his mother's spirit was rising up within him.

As Akemi left, Dante lifted his tail up high as if he had won a battle. He turned and stalked off, his legs turning wobbly as his energy was waning. He didn't know where to go now, though. Blaire wanted nothing to do with him, nor did his mother. He still didn't trust Yami, so it looked like a night alone.

Naomi

The blue wolf heard a familiar ring in her failing ears. "My little Kori?" She barked as she stood up. Her tail wagged back and forth as she stood up with a bright smile on her face. Naomi nuzzled back into her daughter, she was perfect. At least in the mother's eyes.

As another wolf came forward, Naomi smiled over at the fire wolf. "Oh, hello there. I'm Naomi." She was pretty much mother of the pack, or so it seemed. Naomi allowed her daughter to talk to Braxton, just listening to them talk. Naomi flinched whenever Braxton did a fire trick, feeling the sudden warmth that she wasn't a fan of.

Dante

Angrily wandering off, Dante trudged through the snow. He spotted Kori from a distance, talking with some other male and his grandmother. Dante stood stock still as he watched her, secretly wondering if she hated him just as much as everyone else did nowadays. Or was she just putting on an act that she enjoyed being near her nephew. Dante's ears flickered as he watched before looking down to scratch at the snow. Maybe he could go back to his grandmother's den and catch some sleep, since everyone was outside. They probably wouldn't even notice him slip in and then out of the den.

Kali

The female made her way into her den, her ears low and her head slump. She was feeling very ill at this point, and was shivering from the cold. She entered the den, and went to her mothers side. Without a word, she laid down and whimpered. Why was she feeling so sick? She looked up at her, as though she was a pup again.

"Mum. I don't feel so hot." She sighed, lowering her head and falling asleep, her head aching and her eyes hurting from trying to figure out what was watching her for so long. She let out a whine before passing out.

Yami & Akemi

Yami looked down at her daughter in devestation as she saw how ill she was. "Oh, Kali?! What has happened to you?" She asked, a worried tone in her voice. She sighed and licked her head as though she was a pup again, looking up as Akemi entered the den.

"Akemi, could you go find the healer for me, please?" She asked, frowning. "I'm very concerned about Kali.

"Who the hell is the healer?" Akemi asked.

"Um.. I don't know." Yami frowned. "Go ask the Alpha." She suggested.

Akemi nodded, growling to himself. And yet again, he was out, in the snow. He growled. All he wanted was a damned nap.

Lupita

She laughed un-amusingly as Kenny, his question just making her hate her age even more.

"I don't know. But it's stupid." She grumbled, flicking her tail back and fourth in agitation. "Anyways, I offered this new wolf a chance at a warrior rank. She seemed pretty enthusiastic, and she's an electric wolf." Lupita bragged. "Haven't had one of those in awhile." She grinned, feeling good about a similar element trait.

"Anyways, I sent her on a fishing trip. She'll be back with enough fish for the entire pack if she wants a shot at a rank in the pack. We'll see if she returns." Lupita nestled herself down near Kenny, using his warmth as an advantage for her own health. It was cold out these days.

"Oh, and Karasu, Dezera and Kodi are on another hunting mission. They should be back any time, as they left early this morning." Lupita explained, tail flicking over her paws. 

Yami & Kali

The female looked down at her daughter with worry in her eyes, hoping her little girl was all right. Kali had fallen asleep as she was busy rubbing her paws against her head, helping soothe her head ache. Yami looked up as a familiar faint voice was heard at the entrance of the cave. She stood carefully, leaving Kali to wriggle around and get herself comfortable in her sleep while she responded to the wolf.

Yami approached, seeing Hibari she let out a soft smile. "Hey Hibari.' She said, softly.

"Kali isn't feeling too well, I have to admit. She seems to have a bad head ache. Shouldn't bee too major..." She looked off in the distance, noticing that Akemi, instead of fetching the healer, had decided to lay under a tree and take a nap. She felt a growl form in the back of her throat, her eyes snapping back to Hibari.

"I have some things to take care of. I need to get some peppermint for her head ache, would you mind hanging out with her for a bit, and if anything serious comes up, could you howl to me?" She hoped she didn't make Hibari feel like a 'babysitter' or anything, but she really didn't want to leave Kali alone, fearing the worst for her little girl.

"Unless, of course, you have things to do." She smiled awkwardly to the male. "I understand if your too busy. If that is the case, if you could be so kind and wake up Akemi for me..." She nosed her way towards the male slumbering off in the distance.

Naomi

"Are you sure you heard, Auntie Yami, correctly? She told me she loved you, dearly. I guess Grandma will just have to speak with her." Naomi started, giving her a caressing lick on her forehead again before allowing the wolf to snuggle up against her thick fur. Naomi already knew she'd have to talk to her daughter about this situation. The beta wasn't sure what Blaire was talking about with Akemi killing wolves, there hasn't been a murder by him since Kanji stole the two girls.

Giving her a sharp look, Naomi lifted Blaire's head up and stared intently into her eyes. "Blaire, any wolf would go for you. You are a very special, and gifted wolf. You are beautiful, smart, powerful, loving and very strong. Don't let yourself think differently, my dear." Naomi smiled at her granddaughter.

As Blaire acknowledged Bushido's presence, Naomi nudged the brown female. "That is your cousin, Bushido. He came from far away and has seen many things." She looked to the blue wolf, maybe to help strike a conversation to cheer her up.

Naomi placed a paw onto the ice, allowing it to freeze besides Blaire. "Honey, do you know what element you have?" She asked, noting that the wolf went from Acid to Ice. There was two options; Thief or Hidden.

Lupita

The alpha ignored Kenpachi's dispute and stayed put. She wasn't about to move when it was so cold out. Her life was more important than the stupid sappy crap. "Shut it. You know I'm just cold." Her teeth raised a bit, but she settled as Kenpachi spoke of food. "I agree. I do hope she does come back, and the warriors return soon, and winter ends, and hell. I'm almost considering relocating the pack in order to be closer to food again." She muttered, words that would probably never mean anything. How would that ever be possible? The land was all taken, and the forest would never do. They were trapped, and Lupita could only hope Sera could supply them with enough food until she could figure out how to draw back the wildlife. If only they had a luxurious meadow like Sera had.

Blaire

She looked up, slightly concerned as Naomi spoke of talking to Yami. Part of her didn't want to know what Yami had to say, and part of her wanted to see if Grandma was right. She hoped for the latter. The compliments definitely helped boost her ego a bit, and she sat up with a bit more pride as Naomi fed into her ego. Maybe she was right, maybe she was pretty. Blaire looked down at her coat, which was mangled and uncared for. She licked her chest, attempting to clean herself up a bit.

"What's a cousin?" Blaire asked, never hearing of such a thing. It was a strange term. Perhaps they were related, maybe that was it. He sorta looked like Grandma.. not really.

Looking up as Naomi questioned her about her element, she couldn't help but flare her teeth a bit, angry again at her father and brother. "I don't freaking know. My stupid dad and brother won't help me figure it out. STUPID." She stomped a paw onto the ground, causing a wave to form behind her, breaking through the ice as it rolled and pushed her right to her belly. She looked up at Naomi, never understanding why the hell these things happened.

Blaire

The female looked up to Naomi, listening carefully. For once, Blaire was learning something, and it was interesting. She then realized, she liked to learn. A smile crossed her lips, and her tail wagged a bit.

"Kali." Blaire repeated, looking around. That name sounded familiar, had she met that wolf before? "Grimmjow. Uncle Grimmjow." She raised her eyebrows, wondering why she would never meet him. His name sounded cool, and she thought maybe some day it would be fun to go look for her uncle. Maybe he was nicer than her father, or Aunt Yami.

"Hidden?" Blaire said, her head tilted to the side. "You mean, I have a rare element?" Her eyes opened wide, a smile spread across her face.

"WAIT TILL I TELL DANTE! HE'S GOING TO BE SO....." She was jumping up and down, excited to tell her brother news when it suddenly hit her.

"...oh. Right." Her ears dropped and she looked to the ground. "Dante doesn't like me." She sighed, sulking again. Turning back to the water, Blaire admired the work that Naomi had performed, wishing she could do the same. She pressed a paw down, feeling the ice she had created. "It's so magical." She said. "How do I do that?" She asked, really liking the element that her Grandmother had.

Naomi

A gentle smile ran along her aging features, finally a little smile and some confidence for her poor granddaughter. "You sure do have a rare one." She pushed her muzzle to Blaire's forehead to nudge her. "Dante would be proud, I'm sure he needs some alone time."

Naomi smiled as she wanted to teach Blaire everything about her element. Maybe not all, as she probably wouldn't be able to. But enough to control it and be knowledgeable about it. "Easiest way. Just think to yourself, 'I want this to freeze over', relax and let yourself feel the cold run down your legs into your paws. Try it."

With that, Naomi stood up and walked onto the small ice patch to approach the gentle waters from the lake. She lowered a paw above the surface as frosty wisps swirled underfoot before expanding the water to form the ice.

"Once you get that done, I'll try to teach you how to walk on ice. I was raised in an area far north, past those mountains, where the world is just a sheet of snow and ice."

Blaire

The female listened intently. Wondering what this magical thing was, 'control'. She stood, proudly. Putting her paws into the water, she closed her eyes, but instead of thinking it, she spoke out loud.

"Water, freeze." She said, breathing out and relaxing. Her paws felt hot, and before she could say anything else she let out a screech and backed out of the water, looking down to see that she had made the water boil instead of freeze, 

She looked up at Naomi, a little let down but not quite sure how to react, judging her reaction on how Naomi was to react. Was she a failure? What was she doing wrong? Was she just that inexperienced?

Braxton

He noticed that he was being approached by a male that looked to be around his age. He sat down in the grass and watched him come over. "Uh, Not really...Been here a few months." Braxton said with a nod. This wolf seemed a bit odd but it didn't hurt to try to make friends. "Yeah, well...got used to it." He added. "I'm Braxton by the way." He added with another awkward not.

Dante

"Still quite a newbie, eh?" Dante confirmed, a few months still wasn't too much. The teen wolf glanced about before deciding to join the wolf in a casual sitting position nearby. His tan tail brought over his paws to keep them warm. Maybe with the warmer weather, it would bring the prey back to the pack lands. "Don't kid yourself, no one gets used to the gnawing in your stomach." He barked at him with a short-lived, throaty chuckle.

"Dante." He replied and held a silence around them. Not really knowing what to small talk about next, it was never a strong suit of his. He let others do most of the talking. "What brought you here?" He finally spit out, wondering how a strong male would succumb to starvation here in the pack, making him lose some of the strength he had.

Blaire

She watched her grandmother carefully as she created the ice cube, using the feelings of her soul to listen and feel how she controlled this element. It was magnificent, something Blaire had never felt and couldn't quite understand. 

"A Master?" She repeated, the words rolling off her lips as though they were magic. Her tail showed her emotion, gaining speed as it began to wag. "That would be... masterful!" She let out a giggle, stopping for a moment as it was an odd emotion that she wasn't quite used too.. laughter. She looked over at Naomi, once again looking for guidance, almost as though she didn't quite have a personality, and she was just basing her reactions off of her grandmother.

Naomi

The grandmother felt pride for Blaire as her self-esteem for her newfound element was blooming. Naomi pressed her muzzle to the brown wolf's head, grooming the top of her rough fur for a little. Her head lifted up as Lupita gave a warning howl. Panic struck through her eyes at first, but then she had to remember that she was beta. Naomi would need to help control the situation and have everyone be safe.

"Come along, Blaire. We must seek some shelter, maybe we can practice more in there. I'll get some other wolves, I'm sure they can help you master all the other ones you have." Naomi persuaded, wrapping her tail around Blaire's shoulders as she started to walk toward a nearby den. She believed it belonged to Yami, and thought it would be the best situation to have many together. It would be better to know where everyone is, while having company in the shelter.

Naomi

Trying not to retch herself as Blaire threw up a sickly acidic mixture near her, Naomi sucked in some breath as she grew closer to Yami's den. As there was better air, she inhaled the lovely cold air before answering Blaire. "It's possible, my dear, Alpha Lupita could be helping the others carry in their big catch." She smiled, trying to put some hope in the young wolf's soul. She was just glad that starvation hadn't taken her granddaughter away from her. Naomi hoped the same for her own daughter and Blaire's brother.

"Aiden, please look after her." She whispered to herself, sending a small prayer to her late mate. 

"Yami, mind if you have some company over?" The ice wolf asked, her tail sparkling from the light hitting the frost. "Besides, I was wondering if you could give Blaire some insight into your element while we wait for the next howl. She's quite a quick learner." Naomi beamed, lifting her one front paw up close to her chest.

Blaire & Yami

Blaire followed after Naomi, taking note to her elderly state

 She was a good grandma, nonetheless. She looked up as they appeared to be in front of her Aunts cave. Her ears pushed against her skull and she closed her eyes into thin slits. "Why are we here?" She mumbled, nudging Naomi with her tail in an uncomfortable way, before tucking it tight between her legs.

Yami peered out and gave a smile to the two. Although Blaire seemed a bit hostile it didn't stop her from her kind nature. "It is great to see the both of you, Naomi and Blaire." She smiled. "Blaire, you are growing up to be quite a beautiful wolf!" She smiled to Naomi, wonder in her eyes. "Has Blaire been enchanted with the wonderful element of light?" Rainbows began to shine in excitement off of Yami's tail, and she smiled happily. "Of course I can show her a few thinga, come on in."

Naomi

Taking in the sight of Blaire's uncomfortable posture, Naomi pushed her growing silver-white fur into her granddaughter. They needed each other if things turned ugly, and it was time to have Blaire mend the grudge against Yami. She needed more positive influences in her life, Naomi didn't want her to end up cold. It seemed her brother was turning that way, maybe she'd have to try and alter his mind next.

"She'll be bigger than me in a few months." Naomi beamed, before shaking her head. "No, even better. She was blessed with all the elements. I've taught her how to deal and control ice better. So, I figured it'd be good to try out light next." She smiled, turning over to look at Blaire.

"C'mon, dear. I'll be with you." She encouraged, licking her between the ears. "It'll help you become a smarter wolf with your element." Naomi lowered her head as she walked through the entrance, walking to the wolves' usual spot inside.

Yami & Blaire

The yellow wolf smiled in disbelief - "my my, such a rare element for such a beautiful wolf like yourself. I'd imagine light could be your best friend. The first step is trust." Yami smiled, knowing her element was based off of all the good she could manage. She lowered herself, taking the next step as she allowed her head to sink lower than Blaire's, in attempt to not intimidate her anymore. "I'm not sure if you've ever gotten to know me, but my name is Aunt Yami, and I care about you a lot more than you can imagine." Yami said, still unaware of her situation from her elemental transfer with her brother.

Blaire just watched, listening to Yami speal on about some stupid trust word. Her hair on her back seemed to ease as Naomi licked her between the ears, and Yami lowering herself helped a bit too, but she still felt uncomfortable around this wolf. Yami seemed clueless about the incident when they were pups. It then became Blaires mission to figure out why this wolf was lying to her. Perhaps this trust word would come in handy, and she felt an overwhelming amount of darkness stream through her blood as she gave an 'innocent' smile.

"Hi Aunt Yami." The female raised her head and held out a paw. "My name is Blaire." She even managed a giggle, before looking to Naomi. "How do i learn to trust?" She asked, "it sounds like a wonderful word."
