New Wolf Era

Kuro

Heading off into another direction, Kuro flapped his flightless wings before rearing up and snapping a twig underneath his foot. He lowered his head to gnaw at the branch before tossing it to the side. He looked over at Amari, "I'm listening."

"Create our own pack? That's quite a bit of responsibility and it'll take a while to build up the pack." He replied with skepticism. "We'd be doing almost the exact same thing here, wouldn't we?" He lifted an eyebrow. "Besides, we would need a land for that, and everything around here seems to be taken. At least the good hunting grounds and watering holes..." Kuro pondered aloud, then again, never really venturing out too far from Sera pack.

"Alpha material, of course I am. Will I? Absolutely not. Have you seen the alphas running around without a break, yeah, I don't want that life. Besides, I don't want to deal with wolves and all their complaining issues. I'd rather just teach them how to shut up and fight well." Kuro growled, prowling away from her. Just the thought of being an alpha seemed like a nuisance. He didn't understand why anyone would want to be one. To be respected? You could be respected and powerful without being an alpha.

"Maybe we could do some warrior training before we call it an evening. I don't want to be out much longer, snow seems to be picking up." Kuro suggested, but it was more of an order.

Dezera

Taking position off in a distant position, her body lowered to the snow as she watched Kodi carefully. Her silver eyes glanced back and forth. She shifted back and forth and as he raced after it, Dezera counted silently to herself till the third mark. With a sudden push off the ground, she spurted across the icy landscape on the other side of Kodi. Thanking her mother's agility genes, Dezera found it easy to maneuver in zig-zags when the elk tried to escape the other way.

The rest of the elk were alarmed, and based off natural instinct took off as a herd away from the chasing wolves and the targeted one.

Kurosutora

He couldn't help but give a hearty chuckle to Amari. "Amari, you realize whereever we venture to. Whatever pack we go to or form...there will always be drama. And always a pathetic wolf here and there." Kuro shook his tail back and forth. The head warrior did turn his head to look keenly at Amari. "Bad memories can strengthen you, you know...as long as it teaches you a lesson." He put simply, not going on more onto that. He had his own share of many nightmares, more so than then the darkness of his element. It was something he couldn't escape and would make well sure that he would ever be in the same position as that again.

Curling his tail, a dark orb formed in the crease, and as Kuro whipped his tail at Amari's direction; the dark orb flung into her direction. He was just rebuttling her tease, besides, it might keep her on her paws.

"You'll see. The open field provides many, various training possibilities. It would be a shame if your element rusted under this wet weather." Kuro's lips quivered to smile but they were stagnant in a thin line.

Erie O'Glan

The pup's ears went forward as his sister started to bawl as she fell. He sunk down from his perch to try and sniff at her, almost losing balance. Erie tottered back and forth until he felt balanced once more. Erie looked intently at Mizuki speaking with Eva, catching a word that sounded enjoyable to the ears. "Ooom Oom." He slapped his tail hard against Mizuki in a happy beat, underestimating the strength in his tail.

He slid down and put his muzzle close to her. "Oom Ooom." He pipped up, giving her an affectionate lick on the nose. Seeing her try, he acted as if he was helping her by exaggerating his mouth movement in the process. He blinked his large eyes before shifting to look up at Mizuki for her approval.

Eziek

The emerald wolf had stayed besides his mate for quite some time, laying besides her until their bodies were almost one amongst the snowfall. She was as cold as ice now, her soul was elsewhere. He hoped that his parents welcomed her with warm nuzzles. His lips quivered as he fought himself bursting with sadness. Why did it have to be her? Their family had just started but it was cut short so soon. Eziek licked her fur one last time, cleaning her up before he would go and bury her. Getting up, Eziek scrabbled at the hard ground. It was exceptionally hard, but his talons made it extremely easy to dig a hole. It took him a while before it was large enough to where he gently lifted her up and placed her down.

Eziek sat still, the snow flurrying about him. He recalled their memories together, their love. With one last sniffle, Eziek pushed snow and dirt upon her beautiful body. Eziek took one last look at the mound before he trudged off toward Mizzy and his pups. He could hear their rapid heartbeats easily, in tuned with them since he first heard them thumping inside Masika's womb. Eziek didn't know how he'd explain what happened to Mizzy.

Amara

"That'd take a longgggg time, I think everyone is my friend." Amara laughed, stepping lightly through the snow. Her large paws made it extremely easy to cross in this weather, never sinking in the deep snow. "I'm not sure where my close friend or my siblings are, they run off away from me a lot." She replied, her tone growing sad for a moment before she cheered back up. Lifting her head about, Amara scanned the area for any wolves to introduce Jayce. They were probably in their dens.

Catching his red eyes, Amara tilted her head and bumped her shoulder into his. "You alright? I didn't make you feel left out, did I?" She asked, fearing that maybe she hit a certain button since he seemed lonely. Without warning, Amara suddenly jumped and recoiled back as she heard a loud noise off in the distance. It spooked her for a moment, "Didja hear that?" She asked, even thought there would be no way that Jayce could've heard it without a skilled hearing element. "Something's happening." She replied, but she couldn't tell what.

Amara looked about her, but everything seemed normal. Scratching at her ear to try and allow her hearing to only focus on noises around her, Amara didn't need to know what was happening across the packlands. Did she? She acted as if it was normal, and went back to smiling at Jayce.

Amari

The female was listening to Kuro, but not caring much. She already knew all of this, it was repetitive, and annoying at this point. But she would never talk down to Kuro, especially when he was offering advice.

"I still think your scared." She said, not even flinching at his attempt to scare her. It was always the same ol', same ol'. She was just getting used to it all, at this point. "You're going to have to try a little harder to sca-....."

Amari jolted to the side and her ears pressed down as a panicked and distressed howl rang into her ears. She looked at Kuro, her eyes wide with anticipation. "Was that for real?" Amari asked. She didn't wait for him to respond, her body naturally running towards the call of Leonardo. Deep down, she was scared, but her body just seemed to be in a trance, ready to protect her Alpha.

Catorii

She looked over to Zorr in a concerned sort of way, nodding to him carefully. "I will keep my ears open for Nora and Kianna." She said. Last thing she wanted was Zorr to be sick. They were both getting up their in age, hitting eight years old. She was tired, that was for sure. And these pups weren't making it any easier on her. Perhaps she should call out a howl to the healer.

Her ears twitched at an unfamiliar sound. Turning back to the darkness of the cave, she said in an unsure voice, "Hun... was that.. Leonardo?" The howl was familiar, but it sounded much more distressed and urgent than she'd ever heard. She couldn't help but feel a little unsafe, knowing she wasn't in her prime years any longer.

Kodi

He was just about to shook his dagger like icicles at the lagging elk, but heard Karasu's panicked call and he stopped in his tracks. He had fumbled and fell into the soft snow because something had hit his feet. He quickly got up and snarled in frustration. He noticed a Sera wolf had caught them. "Damnit." He mumbled under his breath but he nodded to Dezera when she gave him the signal to continue to take on the elk. They needed this kill more than anything, the survival of the pack relied on it. He sprinted back towards the elk and latched onto the elk's rump, trying to keep it from running away, but he didn't think he could take on this giant animal all by himself. Though he would try his hardest.

Hellequin

The black female made her way back into the center of the pack she had been off in he wood training herself since her father seemed to have a greater interest in the bratty armor wolf that in his own daughter. She was beginning to row bitter and the daddy's girl was slowly beginning to resent him for neglecting her training and growth. He probably didn't even recognize her now. She was large and even more dragon like that he would remember. She approached him and with a throat clear she said "Father." The irritation in her voice was unmasked and she made no attempt to control her tail that was twitching in anger much like a cats. Deep gray clouds of darkness sailed around her paws covering the white snow making it appear as if there was a deep void in the ground.

Jayce

He continued to walk beside Amara, listening to her talk about her friends. He had never had a lot of friends, it was mainly just Kenna and Tarin, sure he had a few acquaintances in Ronoh when he was a pup but he didn't really get along many as a pup, he had always been an odd one, it might have been because he had lost both of his parents before he was even a year old. "No, I'm fine..." He told her with a nod as continued to walk. "You know...friends, aren't always there for you." He said as he thought about his sister again. "And sometimes not even siblings are there for you, the one wolf you can rely on always, is yourself." He explained to the younger wolf.

He then stopped as she seemed to be on edge. "I didn't hear anything..." He said as he looked around. "And I don't see anything either, I'm sure things are fine...so should we keep going?" He asked.

Undertaker

The ghost faded into and out of existence like a heartbeat. "I seem to have the worst luck, you see. The worst luck. I have no interest in making friends any longer. One by one they crumple and fall like leaves. And I remain alone. Seldom few have the courage to look past my appearance, fewer still my insanity." Undertaker solidified, but only briefly. "They have no mother; I no companion. I will make do, I think. Yes, I will."

The grey male wrapped his fluffy tail comfortably around his paws. "Your kindness exceeds you, Alphaess Catorii. Forever, you see, is a very, very, very long time. And that is how long, I think, I shall remain in your debt." His jaws open wide in a grin and he let out his characteristic cackle. "I shall accept your offer. Though I do believe I may need to be retrained in the ways of pack-life. Far too long have I been a loner."

His smile faded and his fur began to raise. A second later and he was gone, but his voice remained. "Daddy?" He echoed, his voice reverberating off the walls of the cave. "Father, she says? Are we ready to become 'Father'?"

"Hmph. Sounds more like "unnecessary responsibility" to me," a second voice harrumphed, deeper than the first.

"They are our companion's."

"They are not ours!"

"She would have wanted-"

"She is not here!"

Undertaker retracted himself from Catorii's shadow, wrinkled top hat knocked sideways. "I have come to a decision, I think. I am much prepared to be called "Father"." His head tilted towards the pups, and he let out a soft exhale. The ghost lowered himself onto his belly and carefully nosed the pups. "Genesis: The world cloaked in darkness at the beginning of creation. So shall your name be." He carefully nuzzled the other. "Thy father art of steel, the shaded blue of gunmetal grey. Cobalt."

The ghost sat backwards, peering intently at the small family in the cave. His ears perked at the apparent illness of Zorr, and his lemon-lime orbs turned his way. "I was healer, long, long ago," he offered.

Zephyr

The armor wolf made her way through the pack lands her breath leaving a cloudy trail in the cold air. Her long legs helped her navigate the snow but it didn't make the cold white stuff any more appealing to her. She would much rather it all melt away. She saw wolves in the distance and felt as if some sort of interaction was ness every to her sanity. She had been silent far too long her father her only companion in life. She approached a green wolf and with a friendly "Hello." She sat near him and the wolf accompanying him. "how are you both today ?"

Zephyr

She shook her head "No unfortunately I'm also new in this pack as well trying to familerize myself with some of the pack members." She shrugged and said "we could look for them together warriors generally aren't hard to pick out haha. " she said "My name is Zephyr by the way."

Kuro

The head warrior noticed as his daughter approached him, surprised to see her awake. It seemed his family was prone to deep sleeping as he did when he was about a year old, or was that the way all young wolves were? She was turning into a beautiful wolf, despite her deformities, and he could've swore she was small enough to run underneath his paws. Kuro watched Helle keenly before raising his lips at her.

"I suggest you keep that irritation out of your voice next time, sleeping beauty." Kuro growled, he wasn't going to take this attitude from her. He had expected better from her. His own shadows reached out to mingle with her's.

At the sudden howl in the sky, Kurosutora lifted his head up and listened to it. Leo's, no doubt, and it sounded stressed. It was time to respond to the howl.

"Helle, come with me. You may just have the chance to shine." Kuro suddenly turned and followed after the fleeing Amari. She was massive and the armor would only limit her speed, so Kuro had no issue coming up besides her into a run.

Coming across the field, it looked like intruders and no doubt the stench was Ronoh. "Amari, the violet wolf. I'm going after to protect the alpha." He assigned, immediately ordered. He was of higher position, so he felt his job to protect Leonardo.

Dezera

Dezera had leaped over him as he fell to the ground. She shook her head from the snow that was kicked up into her face. With a snarl as the wolf let out a howl for help. Of course the weak wolf would call for reinforcements...and there they were. That was pretty quick, Dezera had to admit. Seeing two large wolves come out through the wooded area toward them.

"Kodi!" Dezera shouted, noticing the long legged wolf had purposely ignored her to take him on. "Watch your back!" Dezera leaped up toward Leo, but stopped knowing she couldn't come close to matching his speed to get him. The violet female held her ground as acid pooled at her paws, getting ready for an incoming warrior.

"Bring it, b*tches."

Mercutio

The black wolf suddenly stopped at a standstill at his brother's howl. He knew his brother and that was no practice howl. They were being invaded or there was some threat in the pack. His instinct first went to protect his family, to run to Leo. But, then Mercutio remembered...he had a whole pack to worry about and no doubt the warriors were on their way. Regardless, Mercutio would check to make sure Leonardo was okay before seeing to all the wolves, making sure they were okay and reassure that everything was being handled.

The large black wolf took off running before leaping in the air, his body shrunk and transformed into a sharp, looking eagle. One almost identical to his father's helper, except for the tips of his fur were tinged in red. Swooping above the tree tops, Mercutio flew toward Leonardo's howl. Circling up above, his eyes watching as there were two wolves out in the field. One looked like he was hunting and the other trying to attack Leo.

"C'mon..." Mercutio whispered to himself, growing on edge as he noticed no warriors. All of a sudden, he saw Amari with Kurosutroa nearby coming through the forest. Good, the warriors were there. Swooping away, Mercutio flew off to look for wolves. Instantly, he caught sight of his sister wandering about with that Harle wolf again.

Swooping down, in front of Kianna as she was all over Harle, Mercutio transformed back into his wolf form with feathers floating down around him in the process.

"Kianna." Mercutio stared at her, wondering how she was so oblivious to the howl. She may not have been trained to be an alpha, but that didn't mean she did not know what that howl was. "Go back home, I don't want any wolves under the age of two to be without an adult right now. I have to make sure you're safe. Harlequin, I want you to return home too. Unless you want to go with Kianna back to her parents' home, then you may."

Amara

Amara walked along but turned to look at Jayce with question in her eyes. "You just have to trust that friends and siblings will be there for you. Don't worry, I think you'll realize that once you get used to pack life. Besides, you got me now." Amara smiled, giving him her word. She always lived a positive life, even if her family life wasn't as supportive of that way of life.

As an armor wolf came up, Amara smiled and waved her tail in a greeting. She was always a social wolf, so she enjoyed having more wolves around her. "I'm doing great!" She suddenly became unnerved by the second howl this time. Amara took a few steps away from the group, lifting her head up as her large ears moved around.

Something was, for sure, happening. She could hear growling and nasty tones coming from the field as she honed in on voices. Missing part of Jayce and Zephyr's conversation as she was concentrating. Growing nervous, never liking the sound of anger or growls, Amara turned back as she tried to stop focusing on the voices. They were frightening her.

"Head warrior's daughter, yes. That's me." Amara replied, distracted. "It sounds like the warriors are busy and it'd be a bad idea to go see them right now. I, um, can show you..." Amara trailed on, suddenly flattening her ears.

Amara

"A cave? Oh yes, that sounds good. There's my den, but my mother and maybe brother will be in there. So, it might be kind of cramped." Amara suddenly reeled back into reality instead of the field. "Zephyr, did you and your dad find a den yet? Maybe we could go there...or find an abandoned one for Jayce." She suggested, her helper zipping around her ears. He was whispered and giving small tunes that only she could hear, it was comforting to her and allowed her to focus to the sounds nearby. "When everything is good, I promise to show you to my father."

Catorii

The elder sat quietly as Undertaker seemed to be going through a lot at the moment.

"I assure you, you will be a wonderful father, Undertaker." She exclaimed.

"And I would assume, although you being a temporary member to the Sera society, you would like the pups to take it on full time?" She asked, figuring if Undertaker did, indeed, want to leave Sera, he would be leaving on a death mission, or a break from the pups. She wasn't sure though, he might not want them to be permanent Sera members. "They would make great members." She said, talking ups to the pups.

"Colbalt and Genesis." She repeated, as Undertaker named them, so quickly and easily. It was as though the names were meant for the little ones. "I love it." She said, reaching down to lick each on the head affectionately.

She turned her head towards Zorr as Undertaker mentioned healing skills. She hated to see Zorr feeling ill, and she knew she was most prone to it, especially with this weather hitting in. Her ears lowered, and she wished to get up and cuddle up to him, to tell him everything would be alright, and he would be fine. But she knew she couldn't leave these pups to freeze, and so she stayed put, watching him lovingly from afar.

Kianna

She turned away from Harlequin as her brothers voice protruded into her ears. Swiveling them around, she listened. Nothing seemed to ever turn Kianna's mood sour, as she just nodded happily and reached out, grabbing ahold of Harlequin's paw as she attempted to drag him along, back to her home. Surely he wanted to go with her, er, didn't really have a choice anyways.

Before turning away, she turned and waved at her big brother happily, then skipped off towards their cave. She hadn't seen her mother and father in awhile, and was excited to see them. Her tail wagged happily as she looked back, making sure Harlequin was coming. 

Aeris

The female let out a wild laugh as she saw Apollo. He looked so awkward in the snow, since he wasn't of the colder elements. She got quite the kick out of it, and even bothered to kick some snow at him. "You look like a bright cherry snow princess." She giggled, reaching out to hip bump him before nipping at his ear. 

"Food. Silly. Aren't you hungry?" She asked, her ears twitching as she heard a familiar, scary howl. "I hate that howl. What's going on?" She asked, but it seemed to go eerily silent after that. Her ears lowered and she looked around, wondering if they should go assist in the noise.

 

Tyson

He looked to Artemis, ears twitching at the sound of a howl, but it was so low in key he couldn't make it out in the back of the cave. He was unsure of what it meant, and put in the back of his mind to go check it out once he was finished making sure Artemis was well taken care of.

"Artemis.." He couldn't help but smile as she seemed to come back into the world, and the way she looked at him.. he hoped he wasn't making a mistake.

Then again, he could always revert time until he said what he wanted to say, just right. Yeah. And besides, she probably wouldn't even remember it tomorrow, which made it even better since she seemed to believe anything he showed her in her memories, which he could easily alter..

Okay, he talked himself into it. Letting out a deep, nervous sigh, he lifted himself up and walked next to her, lying down so their bodies touched, attempting to warm her up from the chill that was blowing into the cave from the winter.

"Artemis. I just, I wanted to tell you, that.."

He took in a deep, short breath and closed his eyes before opening them once again to look her in the eyes.

"I love you."

Kodi

He lashed out at the wolf with one of his paws as the young wolf started to spin around him, making him dizzy. All he saw was a red blur, and he wasn't sure if he actually hit him or not. He was getting so dizzy that he dropped into the snow, not able to focus on what he was doing.

Zorr

The elder shivered in his spot as his weary eyes lifted to look up toward Undertaker. "I don't think healing has changed all that much. You can give it a shot, my friend." Zorr attempted to crack a smile but it proved to be difficult. Hearing the howl of his son, Zorr quickly (Or at least the quickest that the ill wolf could) rose to his paws as if to defend his son and pack. Then, realizing his state, Zorr settled back down into half-sitting position.

Cobalt

The silver wolf managed to wake up, noticing that his helper was inside with him now. Somehow the ugly porcupine had found him, but Cobalt was grateful without really knowing why. Squirming around, the pup tried to stand up but fell back down. His legs were short, so it wasn't a hard fall. He laid still, but his orange eyes peered around the fire-lit den. It was all so strange and he wasn't used to this setting. His eyes looked to a grey wolf, watching the odd character.

Leonardo

The male was pushed away by the ice wolf, and not to mention practically thrown off his feet when a sudden blast of sonic went charging towards him. He wasn't too happy to have crashed into a tree, but looking back at the male it seemed as though his plan had worked. Leonardo stood, almost proudly, as he saw Kuro heading his way. "Nothing to worry about here." He explained. "One down, two to go." He looked up in the tree, and then over at Amari. "Looks like we may have to lure the other one down here." He sighed, walking back to Kodi's side.

Placing a paw on the dizzy males forehead, Leonardo took Kodi's vision away, as a plan to blind him and capture him, getting information from the male until further notice. "Let's take them as prisoners and figure out what the hell is going on." Leonardo suggested, almost making it like a question to the head warrior, still weary about his Alpha role. He needed his brother to help with these decisions. Removing his paw from Kodi's forehead, Leonardo looked down at him, hoping it had worked.

Kianna

The female giggled and began running away from Harlequin as he seemed to be okay with following her back to her den. She bounded through the snow, melting it with each step as she was still learning to control her element. Her fire was much hotter than she wanted it to be lately, something that normally spiked up with an inclined emotion. Seeing as though she was so thrilled to be back with Harlequin again, she scampered off towards her den, making the final hop through the snow before turning back and seeing how well she had beaten him in the 'race' she had formed in her head.
