New Wolf Era

((I thought I did...Oh dear, I guess I didn't. Terribly sorry, I'll get to it next ))

Mercutio

The eerie silence was unbearable. He saw nothing. His breath became visable in the air, a thin stream of uncertainity rolled out of his mouth. Why was he feeling this fear? This drumming in his chest. Mercutio could change forms, go back to the safe haven of being the top predator in this area. He had nothing to fear.

Pupils dilating. Every muscle twitched in his body to flee as a flash of red and white darted forward. The rest of the deers saw it, each risen up in a panic and stampeding away. The black buck dashed off too, his gait still as graceful as it was when he was strolling along.

Mercutio noticed Leonardo would be on his heels in minutes, for he knew his brother's speed. And the stamina of his brother was still no match for that of the deer's speciality of sprinting. He'd slow while his brother would catch up.

His head was spinning, still not believing the luck that his brother was the hunter. A blessing and a curse.

Veering around, Mercutio grew bold and felt a need to protect the herd. He lowered his handsome set of antlers and pointed them at Leo. He'd stand and fight.

Way across the meadow, where his helper was residing in peace. Daphne's spots looked like they were formed on by the snow. She hated the snow, too cold. Her wolf was around here so she had to sit and be patient. She groomed herself before hearing the familair rumble of Marcus. "Try'n to get some peace and quiet away from this smell'n red panda." Daphne lifted her chin to the air in a haughty motion and turned it away from Marcus.

Trio

The male turned to look at Nora, as if taking her offer into real consideration. A rank of a healer would be acceptional, but there was one problem; his technique didn't actually work.

"I am honored to hear your words, Nora." The male explained, not wanting to sound like it was her holding him back, because it really wasn't. "But, these old bones aren't what they used to be. Had I been a little younger, my work would have worked, and the lad would be around today, breathing and healed. Obviously, I have a dysfunction in my work and if I continue, all will be is failure. I do not wish to continue this medicinal work, as I do not want to dissapoint anyone any further than I already have." He offered a sympathetic smile.

"Besides, I'm sure you will do fine, as this pack seems to have held strong without me. This old man wants nothing more than to watch his pups grow, and to nurture them with all the love and support he can provide." He turned back to give his mate a smile, even though he figured she couldn't hear his words.

"You'd think someone my age would be professional at this sort of element," He gave a happy chuckle, "Someone who has had experience for years, and knows their element well." He complimented himself, but paused. "But, as we find out; no one is perfect, and I am just as wolf as yourself, and we can only do so much for others, as it turns out I am not capeable of healing like I used to be." He looked back on his life, remembering the times he saved others and healed up wounds, he never had an issue like this before, and he was convinced that there truely was, something wrong with him.

"I thank you for your time and offer, but I think my mate and I would prefer to be hunters. I can make a deer nice and fat for this pack, and I'm sure the Alpha would appreciate that." He smiled to Nora, although he looked weak and tired. "Now, if you would excuse me, I would really like to get some rest." He was panting as he spoke, still exhausted from using all of his power to save the deceased pack member.

ooc: What do you mean? Kianna was talking about Harlequin, playing tag and such. You mean what Ronnie was saying? He's just being protective, not actually communicating.

| Kianna |

The female giggled as Harlequin went off in the opposite direction, figuring there was just a mix up on her end and he was the one wanting to be chased. Quickly, the female romped towards him and skidded to a hault as she ended up between the pink mothers paws, looking at Harlequin with a grin. Reaching a paw out, she threatened to tag him and deem herself the fastest. Silently the female waited, just waiting for Harlequin to attempt to run, or better yet, allow her to tag him. She knew she was faster, she just had to be! 

| Catorii |

Catorii returned the concerned look with a sincere smile, trying not to worry the mother. "Well, every pup is different, some grow faster than others, and others take longer to develop such things as bravery to speak. Perhaps he's just a little slower than his siblings." She meant no harm, for her daughter was the same way. She never once heard Kianna speak, except to her father which wasn't much more than giggling. "I had troubles with learning to dance, but even though I was slower than the rest, I also eventually got it." She offered a smile. "I'm sure he will be a fine speaker as he matures, and grows older. It will just take time." She shrugged. Perhaps the male was actually slow, and had a speech impediment. That could be possible, but she figured it wasn't the case, and he just wasn't as confidant yet.

Nora

She flattened her ears as Trio rejected her offer. "Oh, Okay. I suppose you're right." She spoke with disappointment. "Well, You and you're family have a good night. So sorry to bother you." She said as she turned around and started to pad back to her den. She saw Eli coming straight for her. "Daddy!" She shouted as she ran over to him. He looked hurt so she didn't nuzzle. But she was glad to see him alive. "C'mon, let's go to my den." She told him since all of her supplies were in her den. She padded beside him towards her den.

Kuro

The dark wolf circled around Amari with every motion she did. Inspecting, critiquing. Taking it all in. Never once praising her action, only giving the slightest flicker of his ear as if he was supposed to be impressed. Kuro's eyes gazed upward, wondering how long he had spent training her.

Hearing a small crack and upheavel of roots at the base of the tree, Kuro turned on his heels and bent his head down to look at it before looking at Amari. She looked like she had battled a bear with the state she was in. Kuro narrowed his eyes as he stood close in front of her.

"That will conclude our lesson today. Get yourself cleaned up." Kuro's shadows swirled around his paws. "And don't get yourself beat up by other trees." He shot at her, a sly grin on his face. Without another word, Kuro turned away and walked away from his young apprentice. Patience would suit her, along with knowing the soreness and pride that fresh scratches and wounds would bring.

Zorr

Zorr swung his attention back toward Undertaker, a distant look in his eyes. He seemed to get that more and more lately, lost in his own thoughts. Zorr shook his head, "Yes, yes, I understand, my friend." Zorr grinned at the wolf, noticing the spirit seem to waver, just before he blipped out of the area. Zorr dipped his head, "I appreciate your forthcoming once more. I wish you well, until next---" He stopped as Zorr was soon talking to nothing but the air. It grew eerie and he shivered in the thawing air.

Zorr pushed dirt onto the grave, kicking dirt to make a nice mound. It was much easier than to dig into the ground. Zorr walked off, pausing for a moment as if he forgot something before venturing off deeper into his packlands. Hearing a familiar flap of wings, Zorr moved his head to the side to allow a smooth landing for the black eagle.

"Got news for me, Thor?" Zorr asked, his serious face still in place. A small fire trickled at his paws, giving rise to smoke that Zorr exhaled into the air.

"Your mate is with the pink warrior, the pups are being pups. The others seem to be relaxing and enjoying the company of the wolves. Everyone seems to be in peace."

Zorr smiled, glad that there wasn't much turmoil occuring in his pack. No news was better than bad news, and at least the pack was thriving.

"However, I spied Artemis with Tyson. She looks too frail for the amount she's been hunting..." Thor hushed his voice, turning his sharp gaze to look at Zorr. He could feel the wolf grow ridgid and look away.

Zorr started to walk his way over toward Artemis's den. No, she was strong. Artemis would be fine, just a minor bug or another selfless act of feeding the young before herself. But she was getting old...no, they were all getting old. Zorr couldn't let his mind believe that his close, long-time friend could possibly leave him.

Leonardo

The male felt a rising exchange of blood flow and lust inside as he watched the deer jump, sprint, and scurry away. To his surprise, one deer was head on with him, and Leonardo stood back. He was almost thrown off by this act of courage by this deer, and didn't really know how to respond. Most would run, he would chase, and that would be it.. but to his surprise, there was a large buck, standing his ground.

"What the?" Leonardo muttered under his breath, watching the creature with a curious eye. He lifted his nose, smelling each deer and the direction they took by their footsteps vibrations. They weren't up to any strange plan, it was just this deer taking him on.

Leonardo shrugged it off, and decided to go for it. Lowering himself, he bared his teeth as though warning this deer it was a mistake. Threatning his life over the shiny pearls. Leonardo was a good few feet away, but he didn't charge. It was an odd situation, and Leo was inspecting further into it before making any sudden movements. Dad never explained what to do in a case like this...

Marco gave out an exhilerating laugh as Daphne attempted to rain on his parade. "Ah, but the snow shines off of your pelt like the morning glory of spring. The beauty of black and white on my love is so blissful it cannot be said unnoticed," He said, charming his way into her as he raised his eye brows and winked at her. Sure, his words were confusing and didn't make much sense, but to Marco they were the key to his desires. He sat down infront of her, inhaling her revolting scent and smiling as though he actually enjoyed it, which he really did... "You smell extra lovely today, my dear." Marco said, his head tilting in an act of innocence.

Amari

She watched the male as he critiqued her, eyes pinned on him as though he was the devil. Her tail brushed against her legs, too tired to attempt to show dominance. It was true, she was exhausted. It may have only been a tree, but constantly bashing her body against it and using her strength to an extreme to knock down a tree that could have been hundred of years old... practicly impossible. Why did Kuro pick a stupid huge tree?

Watching him smirk at her, she rolled her eyes. "Haven't seen you move much more than your damn eyes. Maybe some day you'll be brave enough to actually train me, instead of letting the tree do all the work," She retorted as the male walked off into the distance. Out of pure annoyance, she reached over to a smaller tree and slammed both of her front paws into it, uprooting the tree and knocking it to the ground. Perhaps she didn't realize her own strength...

Looking to the broken tree in a sort of amusement, Amari felt a bit better about herself to actually get some steam off of something, rather than being beaten in return. She made her way back into the packlands, calling it a night as she made her way towards her fathers den.

Stopping, she noticed her father off in the distance. He looked pretty beaten up, was he still injured? He was getting much too old. The old timer probably wouldn't last much longer. Oddly enough, Amari's teeth grew into a grin. She could beat him up if she really wanted to, he'd have no chance, she had age and strength on him at this rate. 

A silent nudge made her thoughts disappear as Milo pressed his nose into her right leg. "Alright, bed time." She agreed, dropping the subject of beating up her father to prove her strength, and deciding to find her own place to sleep instead. Reaching down, Amari scooped up the armadillo and let him ride her similar to a horse would be ridden as she lowered her head to the ground, sniffing for an abandoned den. 

Amari

Her ears swiveled at the sound of another, and she turned at the thought of hearing her own name, but the sound was too far off and with no help from the wind. Lifting her nose, she tried to identify the subject, but she was too tired and could not sniff him out.

Giving a long, low sigh, Amari planted herself on the empty cavern floor. This cave would do for now, it was old and marked by a different scent, perhaps a wolf of Sera's that had passed away. She didn't recognise it, and was too lazy to mark it and claim as her own, so she simply lowered her head and closed her eyes, hoping to earn some well deserved rest after an incredibly long day of training.

Milo was thrilled for this idea and was eager to roll himself up, wriggling close to the warmth of his wolf as he endured an attempt to also earn a well night's rest.

Trio

He watched as the healer walked off, and turned to give a weak smile to Sora before cuddling up to her. Something was off in his head, and he looked around.

"Sora, do you know where Izzy is?" He asked, not seeing the echinada for awhile. It was beginning to concern him. He lowered his tired head and let out a sigh. "I'm sure he's out running around with your helper." He gave a smile, hoping he was right.

Amara

"Bye Kianna!" Amara barked in the direction of her closest friend. Wiggling around, Amara bounced over to Harle as they followed their mother back to the den. She was smaller than her brother, that was for sure. She nuzzled up besides him, letting her mottled pink fur blend into his natural hued one. "That was fun, Harle, right?" She barked to her sibling, offering him a smile. "C'mon, I'll race you to den!" Amara yipped, not waiting for a response. The energetic wolf took off to the direction of home, her large ears were pressed forward as she heard some strange tune being played up ahead coming from the den.

Zorr

The alpha slowed down as he approuched Artemis's den, it smelled stale as if she hadn't been in there for a while. "Artemis?" He called into the darkness, but all it did was echo his voice. She wasn't in there.

Zorr turned and then remembered what Thor had said, Tyson took her and was caring for her. Zorr dashed off again, but noticed Aeris running the opposite way from him. He reared, fumbling with his footing for a moment as she called out to him.

"Aeris!" He shouted back to her, her purple eyes looked frantic. He tried to keep a composure, "Healer? She's tending to Eli. Aeris, please, tell me what is happening." He begged her, a small whine slipping to the surface. "What's wrong with Artemis? Oh, please tell me she is alright?" Zorr asked, his eyes growing wide with worry.

She had to be alright. She had to.

Zorr started to sway back and forth in place, ready to dash off to where his dearest friend was at. If need be, he'd send Thor out to search for Nora and bring news to her.

Aeris

She looked at her old friend, eyes filled with saddness as she retold her Alpha the horror Tyson had seen through his eyes. She replayed it as she heard it from his memory, her element taking in full effect to support her Alpha and his wishes.

"She's cold, and isn't responding well. She doesn't know who she is sometimes, or where she is. She just wants to sleep. Tyson has brought her to his den, where Apollo and Tyson are making their way to her now. They should be there soon, or so I think." Although she was no future predictor, she could hear their thoughts and knew they weren't completly gone. She nodded slowly to the male in an attempt to show her sympathy.

"I'd like to speak with the healer, you go to Artemis, I'll go find her." She shut her mouth, realizing she was telling the Alpha what to do.. "..Uh, if thats okay, I mean.." She said, looking around nervously. This whole thing had gotten her up in a mess, and she wasn't acting like her normal, worry-less self.

Leonardo

The male watched carefully, using all of his senses to try and predict the outcome of this scenario, but he was still a youngster and didn't know all the aspects of hunting quite yet.

Thinking he had the situation under control, Leo was both startled, and surprised as the black buck came charging towards him. In a usual response, Leonardo froze up, his legs locking and his eyes opening as wide as they could. He couldn't move, and he didn't have Mercutio to shove him and knock him out of his trance like he normally did. 

Leonardo took in a sudden breath and as the buck got closer and closer, the dirt from his hooves started to fly and made Leonardo's eyes dart to watch. The sudden distraction made him coil and roll, where his quicker speed and lanky body made it a quick duck and roll right out of the bucks path. Staring at the buck as it ran, Leonardo's adrenaline seemed to rise and he brought himself to his feet; quite shaky at first. Building courage and speed, Leonardo leapt after the buck, and the game had begun.

Marco's expression was a more appealing look, his eyes soft and seemingly in another world as he looked at Daphne. "Oh, Daphne. Stop it, your sassyness - it turns my gears." He grinned, reaching his paw out to tap her nose in a playful mannor, "You naughty, naughty skunk." He joked, rolling over to his back to look up to her, reaching to his left and grabbing a random weed that would bloom within weeks. It would work for now, and he couldn't wipe the grin off of his face as he started to rip it to pieces.

"She loves me... she loves me not. She loves me... she loves me not..." He grinned, winking up at her as he continued to attempt to charm the stubborn skunk.

Zorr

His red eyes lowered as Aeris gave him a brief summary of what was happening. It caused him to shake in place, pawing at the thawing grass. Frowning, Zorr looked at Aeris with pain in his eyes. Artemis sounded like she was forgetting, would she even remember him? Memory was something Zorr cherished, he couldn't imagine it fading away.

"Thank you, Aeris." Zorr tried to straighten up, but it failed. He looked much older, almost as if he caught up with his age finally with the news. "I'll see to her, and please, hurry." Zorr pushed himself to give her a comforting nuzzle, as if she was the one that needed to be comforted rather than himself. Without another word, Zorr picked himself up and skittered off.

Tyson

The male nodded quietly as Apollo explained, but something about this situation just didn't seem right. He shifted back and fourth in his spot, anxiously looking out the cave as if expecting Aeris to already be there. What was taking so long? Shouldn't she have found the healer by now?

"Why won't she wake up?" Tyson asked Apollo, he felt like she had been sleeping forever.. months, it seemed.

Aeris

She closed her eyes at the touch of the Alpha, thankful to have such a kind and understanding male lead her pack. Nodding quietly, Aeris watched him for a moment before unlocking her legs and darting off towards the direction she was headed in before. Using her senses, she came upon the healers den. Peering inside, she wondered if she would find the healer. The new healer was much different than Kou, she missed that old wolf and wondered where Nora was.

"Healer?....Healer?" Aeris called, curiosity getting the best of her as she peeked her nose inside the den. "Healer.. please help... A wolf is in trouble.." She hoped Nora was in there.

Amara

Amara strode onward, prancing at a slow pace. She suddenly heard the rushing of feathering wings and turned, her big eyes grew wider. "Harle!" She shouted with a laugh, jumping up into the air to try and playfully snap at her brother's owl form. "Not fair!" Amara pushed off the ground to try and speed herself up. She was surprisingly quick upon her large paws, almost as if learning to get used to it.

Amara rushed on, right underneath her brother. She kept glancing upward as if it'd motivate her to push herself and run faster. As she neared the cave, Amara heard that sweet lullaby coming from inside. It gave her motivation and soothed her inner soul.

Renci

The male bounded happily after his sister, full of joy and wonder as he bounded into the freshly grown grass. It was so green, so beautiful - so neat! He just couldn't get enough of it. Rolling around, Renci wriggled like a worm, enjoying the warm of the suns rays and the company of his family.

"This is so neat, mum! It's so, so neat!" He said, tail wagging with pure joy as he looked over to his sister, suddenly turning to his paws and charging to pounce on her playfully. "Gunna getchyaa! Let's play hide and seek- You're it"

Tyson

His eyes held a worried expression, but he nodded to Apollo. "Okay, I trust you. Nothing is wrong with her, a brother should know best." He let out a relieved sigh, "I do hope she wakes up soon." Something about Artemis just made Tyson want to keep her safe and cared for. Something inside him, a feeling he couldn't describe - She was the only close friend he had, and he didn't want to lose that, then he would be a pointless member of the pack, that 'one' guy no one know's his name.

Mercutio

As Leo arrived at his side, just as he knew his brother would. Mercutio shook his head, his eyes glaring out at his brother now in fake irritiation. "What are /you/ apologizing for. You're not the buck that just sailed over my head and almost gave me a nice hoof print on my head. If I wasn't ducked down, looking for that mouse..." Mercutio spat at the ground, suddenly sticking his nose to the ground. "Great, the mouse got scared off."

Mercutio pulled himself up to stand before bumping into Leo. "Easy killer." He chuckled, giving a goofy grin to his sibling. "You sure had that buck scared out of it's wits. Always next time, and maybe I can join with you to take 'em down." He winked, there was a knowing twinkle in his eyes but it was indistinguishable.

Daphne tried to yank her paw out of Marco's, but it failed. He sure had a nice grip on it. "No. Marco. I don't." She bluntly replied, fidgiting in place. She glanced around, hoping no other helpers were watching. She couldn't be seen with such a lowlife as himself. "Oh heck nah!" She growled as she was tugged downward, "You can go to the moon, I will stay here...far, far away from you."

Catorii & Kianna

The pair had danced together for quite some time - more so Catorii, and Kianna just tapping her feet. Kianna had quite the beat in her soul, she must have gotten it from the fire Gods above. Catorii was proud of her, and up to this very moment they had transformed from play to sleep, resting peacefully out side of the cave in the warm sun - a spring nap together. 

Kianna was snuggled into Catorii's arms, although she was growing larger she still wanted to be little and snug, and her first birthday was approaching so Catorii definitely took in each wonderful moment to her best ability.

"Hey sleeping beauties," a voice rang though Catorii's ears, causing her to open her eyes sleepily. "Hey Goko, what's up?" She asked quietly, as to not awaken her daughter.

"Thor's coming this way. I'm heading inside." He said, gathering himself and making his way into the cave. He never felt comfortable around that old bird. Catorii watched him and nodded, looking up to the sky as she opened her mouth, breathing a bit of smoke to signal him of their location - even if it was obvious. She had missed Zorr, and wondered what Thor was up too. 

Kianna wriggled a bit in her sleep, eventually opening a tired eye as she heard a distant noise of pups. A new noise, which got her interested. Looking up at her mother, Kianna smiled happily, but it was so warm between her paws, she almost didn't want to move...
