Her ears flickered back, tilting to the side for a moment. She was unsure as to how to react toward him since he seemed to be warming up. Or was it all an act? Why were males so confusing?

"Good, I wish you the best in that." She smiled over at him, watching him before trying to stand up. She stopped and just sat rigid for a moment. She took a deep breath before shaking her fur off. "That's if we can move to go talk to the healer." She grumbled, giving off a snort. "At least we have each other's company until then, right?" She turned to him, giving off a light-hearted wink for fun. She was in a huge amount of pain, it was hard to even move. Her abdomen throbbed and made her clench her teeth together.

Lux

Lux gave a deep chuckle, enjoying this happiness that was surrounding him. It seemed this pack wasn't bad at all from the looks of it so far. He didn't understand why the two neighboring packs were so spiteful to each other. He followed silently after Yami, allowing her to guide them toward her daugther. He felt his bones ache as he pushed himself to keep up with the peppy wolves. One of things he disliked about aging, that was for sure.

Naomi

She watched the alpha, trying to read her reaction. Lupita didn't appear to fancy the news. Naomi didn't understand why exactly she wished to hold a warrior session immediatly after the news. She gave the slightest tilt of her head, still trying to understand but it didn't come to her.

Xena was gone. It was a fact now. She didn't know how to bring it up to the other yearlings, maybe avoid it until asked. She hoped Xena was alright, where ever she may be. It was unfortunate since the pup was quite a joy to have around.

As she was dismissed, Naomi dipped her head to her alpha. "Thank you, Lupita. I will see you once more at the feast." She barked, before watching her leave. There was a beaming smile on the wolf's face at the compliment. She knew how hard it was to see Lupita's nicer side, especially recieving a compliment. Naomi's tail wagged back and forth.

And to spread the good mood, Naomi raced off to her mate. She bounded and found Aiden, nuzzling into his side.

He smiled at the sight of his mate and as she nuzzled up to him he pressed his nose to her forehead "Hello dear." he breathed. She seemed so happy and excited it was a refreshing break from his element less aging that he had been sucked into. But he tried to focus on the positive as she was around. He gash wasn't healing very quickly but he quickly brought up something else "So why are you in such a good mood??" he smiled at her excited to hear her news.

Kenpachi gave a firm huff as Karasu had finally gotten her hearing back. At least he wasn't like, talking to a brick wall or anything. "Karasu, if you have a problem with someone, you need to find a way to solve it by yourself." The alpha frowned slightly. "I won't be around forever, despite what the both of us think. I can't always be around to beat up whoever bugs you. As my daughter, I expect you to learn how to fight and deal with problems on your own."

The armor wolf frowned again. His speech wasn't as graceful as he thought it might be. "You're lucky your mother and I have been there for you as long as we have." He didn't have to go into all the details about his childhood, or lack thereof. "...Okay?" Despite being way out of character, a large, dinner-plate sized paw rested itself on his daughter's head and ruffled up her fur.

Lykken

"Aye, that sounds like Kenna alright." Lykken finally agreed, knowing that there were only two wolves who had ever called him, "lion". He gave a sad look over his shoulder towards the pup he had babysat, and had grown to admire with a sort of affection. He was proud of her, almost like she was his own daughter. Biting his lip, he knew that he would have to toddle off soon. But still so many ones to say goodbye to...

And so, as loud as he could make himself, Lykken began to sing. With luck, his words would carry.

"May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And rains fall soft upon your feilds
And until we meet again
Let God hold you in the palm of his hand."

When he was done, the luck wolf looked around him, enjoying the scenery one last time before he continued on his adventures. He wandered over to the two gems that lay in the dirt, tsked a little, and put a paw on both. Breathing in, and breathing out he infused each with both his luck and a little lifeforce. Now there would always be a little part of him watching the two grow.

And so he said goodbye to the trees around him, and with a golden sparkle, he was gone.

Naomi

Naomi smiled at him, he was getting old and without his element, he appeared older. Though, she still viewed him as the handsome, young wolf that she met. Her eyes fluttered close for a moment as he pressed his nose into her forehead. He was always sweet to her, she couldn't have asked for a better mate.

Naomi looked at her mate, still smiling. "Oh, just talking to Lupita. She praised me and allowed me time to meet with you while the warriors meet. She's actually really respectful when you get to know her. So, we have some time to spend together before the feast." She wagged her tail around, it was hard for her to stand still. As if she was a young wolf again, without responsibilty.

He smiled and said "I figured you would be a great beta, dear." he listened to her and sighed "Finally, I'm allowed to be with my mate for more than 10 minutes." he smiled and streched the thought of being with her sending energy through him. He stood his tail wagging happily as he shook out his shaggy blue fur "So what did you want to do, love?"

Naomi grinned up at her mate as he seemed to agree with the alpha about being good at beta. She had to admit, Naomi didn't expect to do so well. She was always a hunter, born through and through, not one that was helping out with leading the wolves as second-in-command. It was still strange to her.

It seemed her mood was contagious, he seemed to have caught it. Naomi gave a small yip and bounced up onto her hind legs, pressing her front paws onto his shoulders. "Well, I have you for quite some time." She smiled. She nipped at his ear before darting off in a different direction. Stopping for a moment, wagging her tail around and watching to see if he'd take up the offer to run or chase.

As she ran off he crouched low his butt in the air playfully and bounded up to her like a pup. He gave her a wolffish grin and nipped at her tail his wagging back and forth. He surprisingly didn't feel his joints hurt as much as a wolf his age should, probably due to all the running he did as a hunter. "So miss, you think you can outrun me?" he smiled and shook his head faking disbelief.

Naomi giggled as Aiden went along with it. He was adorable. Naomi batted her tail at his muzzle after he nipped it. Naomi circled around him, light on her paws as she often did. "We might just have to see? You might have me beat though since I haven't been able to run much since I became beta."

Naomi pushed her muzzle into Aiden's neck before pulling away and running off. She weaved through some trees, standing behind one. Her body hidden away by the large trunk, but her neck curved around the side to look out at him.

"Try to catch me." She barked at him.

He was surprised at his speed as he bolted out to catch her, he shouldn't be able to run this fast without breaking a hip. He laughed at the thought and at the air that breezed though his coat, he reached the tree line before slaying down and skidded around the tree. His tounge was hanging out as he went to tag her with his law to prove he could catch her still.

Naomi wiggled around in excietment as Aiden chased after her. She pawed at the ground, giving a small bounce in place. He looked so youthful, she took the moment to fawn at him. Not noticing when he was around the corner and about to tag her.

"Oh, there you are." Naomi barked, giving him a quick lick on the nose before taking off into another direction. It was more of a slackened pace, not wanting to fully run to exhaust herself. She could easily be caught now, but Naomi didn't mind. She enjoyed spending these moments with him.

He smiled at her lick and barked after her jogging after her, he grabbed her lightly and rolled her over onto her back and licked her nose "I gotcha." he lay down on his back to his paws waving in the air and the jumped to his feet and pranced around her and said "I'm an old man you speed demon, slow it down." he winked at her and smiled before sitting next to her trying to tickle her with his tail.

Dezera

Dezera gave a small dip of her head, staring foward with dialating pupils. She took a small breath. Dezera watched him, it seemed he was relaxing once more. He was starting to remind her of the Kodi that she hung around before. Dezera caught the wince, "You alright?" She asked casually. Dezera shook herself and eased back into a laying position. Dezera felt every position was uncomfortable and painful, slowly trying to curl closer together as if it would stop the pain.

"Kodi, I've been meaning to say that I'm sorry for everything that I've ever put you through." Dezera blurted out in an exasperated sigh. If she was to die from whatever was wrong with her, might as well apologize. It was unlike her to do this sort of thing, but I guess with the thought of death in her mind it made sense to. At least at the time.

Naomi let out a giggle as she got rolled onto her back. She smiled, swaying back and forth along the dewy grass. "You did catch me." She barked, her eyes giving off a twinkle of happiness. Her head turned back and forth around, trying to watch him as he pranced around him. "Well, I have to keep you young some how, gotta keep up with all the younger wolves." She laughed, pawing at the air as she spoke.

She snapped at his tail playfully, trying to avoid being tickled with a smile on her face.

"Oh, just a few bruised ribs I assume." he said as if it wasn't a big deal. He was really caught off guard when she started to apologize to him. He flattened his ears, deep down he still cared about her and back then he so badly wanted her to be the one but he accepted that it was never going to happen. "Oh Dezera, it's okay... I too apologize for any drama I have caused on your life...I can never stay mad at you." he said as he let out a sigh.

She looked over, it might've been a bruised rib or not. Either way, it would heal. She felt her helper slither over to her, sniffing at her stomach before giving a hiss and coiling across his wolf. "Misses, need something to help?" He hissed quietly. Dezera glared at him but meekly shook her head. She was stubborn and would refuse help.

Dezera turned her shaky gaze to Kodi. "Kodi, it's not okay." Dezera snapped at him, "You know it isn't. I treated you like ****, and all you did was care and be kind." She sighed, easing up with the second part. "I don't blame you for not wanting to be near me much, I've caught onto the hints the past few days."

Yami smiled back at Lux and continued on, approaching Lupita. Surely she wouldn't be thrilled about a strange wolf coming in, especially after her bad experience with leaving. Kali giggled at the dare, standing up proudly and scanning the area for a wolf to prank. "Okay!" she said, spotting Hidan off I the distance. Grinning, she scampered off towards him, stopping in front of him and beginning to recite a silly random song, whatever she could think off. "YOu are layiiiing in the grass, grass is green, and your kinda mean! Grass and Hidan seem the same why don't you come join our silly game?!" she grinned, endin her song and dance, while she walked away without another word. Rejoining the circle, Kali had a paw over her mOuth in attempt to control her laughter. Oh, this was so fun! "Hibari, truth or Dare?" she asked, trying to control her excitement.

He smiled at the hug and wagged his tail happily, but noticed a strange color emitting from Tarin's coat as he ran off to his cave, turning to look back at Kenna as if she would explain it. He had never seen the odd purple hue of jealousy, but something in Tarin's soul told Kestral it wasn't a positive emotion.

When Kenna bursted into flames right in front of him, Kestral couldn't help but jump back immediatly, practically doing a back-flip/sort of side turn.

"Woah Girl! You're HOT!" He said, being quite literal. Although he was used to Kenna's usual warmer body temperature, the sudden burst of flames in his face wasn't the most enjoyable moment, and kind of scared him a bit. But, it wasn't long until he got used to it, and settled down a good, safe, distance away, waiting for the flames to sort of.. simmer down, or something.

Hey... Is Kenna okay?" He asked, feeling mixed emotions from her as she gave off weird, confusing and mixed up colors he couldn't quite identify yet.

This time it seemed as though HE lit up in flames, or would have, if that was his element. "He's being a JERK!? WHAT?!" He said, immediatly throwing himself up onto his hind legs and throwing 'fists' into the air as if he was a professional fighter, of some sort. "He won't hurt you with me around! He'll get summa this!" He said, throwing one paw out into the air, "And summa THAT!" He said, continuing to punch at the air until his balance forced him to fall back onto all fours, smiling over at Kenna with his usual goofy grin.

He smiled, nodding at her happily. "Okay Kenna!" He said, watching her scamble off towards Tarin. Surely, she could cheer him up! Kenna could cheer anyone up! He smiled over at her, oblivious to the whole thing that was actually going on.

Kevin was heading towards Kestral, and noticed the shinies on the ground. "Oh! Kestral!" Quickly, the wipporrwill grabbed the gems with his two feet, taking off with much extra effort in attempt to fly over to Kestral. Landing next to him, he placed the gems down carefully. "Hey now, don't lose these!" He said, smiling up at Kestral

Hearing Kevin made Kestral turn back and look down, with a huge smile on his face. "oh! the gems!" He said, noticing a strange green auroa around them, sort of like Lykken had. "Strange, why do they glow?" Kestral asked, but forgot about it as he reached out and gave Kevin a big slobbery lick on the cheek - er, face. Kevin just smiled happily and bounced up onto Kestral shouldar, as if he was the happiest bird in the world.

Kestral quietly stared at the gems, adoring how pretty they were while trying to figure out just what to do with them. Maybe a necklace?

She grumbled to herself as Kenpachi spoke to her. Guess she was getting to old for the baby face. Oh well, it was fun when it lasted, and she'd try to slip it in every now and then. "But, what about all the boys I'm gunna meet?" She said, a sparkle in her eye. "Does that mean I get to handle them too?" She personally wanted to be with a male, and hoped her father would allow it.

If she could fight, she should be able to have a boyfriend too, riiiighttt? She grinned at him. "I mean, I AM a big girl now. Right?"

Lupita

Finally deciding right where the fight would be, the female's broken concentration forced a beam of lightning to fall from the sky.

"Who?" She turned, a glare on her face at Yami. How dare her allow a strange male into the territory when she JUST left and broke the Alpha's word.

Looking over at the male in the distance, Lupita seemed to settle down a bit. By the looks of it, this guy was down to his last few days. He had to be around eight years old, and looked more grey than anything else.

"Alright. Fine." She said, convinced that the old timer wasn't much of a threat, and Yami was sincere about it anyways.

"But, he better be out of here before the warrior training, because I don't want foreign wolves spying, even if he doesn't care." Lupita pressed her tounge to her chest, attempting to clean herself for a moment before turning to look down at the light wolf. "So, hurry up. Training starts tomorrow, if he's not gone, you're my punching bag for the warriors." She dismissed herself and continued back to her work, arranging rocks in a sort of ring-like fashion, developing plans for tomorrow.

Steam started to collect around his eyes,"Kenna you have known about the age difference for like your whole life. She looked at him feeling a deep ache, he was who she was supposed to be with ad she knew it. She couldn't wrap her head around what she was feeling for Kestral..she knew she wanted to take care of him because he seemed to need that and she knew that she deffinatly wanted to be around him. Maybe it was just her wanting him as a brother, she figured that's what it was and she looked up at Tarin and said "I love you Tarin, and I'm not worried about slowing down. I know I want to be with you I just don't know what these feelings towards Kestral are.." she brushed her nose against his warm one and then sighed.

"Boys?" He honestly didn't expect that. But he broke into a fearsome laugh. "Oh, I'll deal with them, alright." A deadly glint appeared deep within his green eye. "I'll deal with them."

Kenpachi frowned, and gave his daughter a sideways glance. "...We'll see about that.....Why...?" If his little girl already had a boyfriend, he would literally crush him.

Hidan

Well, at least the blood had dried a little, but Hidan still couldn't hear very well. Which made him frown as Kali randomly came up to him, had a sort of seizure, and then ran away. What. The. Hell. The earth-colored male got to his feet and made his way around to find his mother. Maybe she would know what to do about his hearing.

When he finally found her, he accidentally bellowed her name instead of just calling it. "MOOOOOOOOOOM!!"

Yachiru

"Huh? Where's Sunny go?" Yachiru wondered, turning around in a circle looking for her new friend. "Oh, hi, Sparkyyy!" She greeted toward her adoptive mother, and pounced on her. "Where's Kenny? Is he awake yet? Where's Kali? Where'd Dan-dan? Where's Kara? Where's Kes-kes?" She asked, rapid-fire, tail wagging all the while. All the built-up energy had to go someplace, right? "Ooooh! What's going on here? Is it a party? What's going on? Is this gunna be fun? Oooh! I wanna join! Can I join?"

THATS IT! Finally he had an idea. "Kevin! We need some sort of rope! We need some!" He said, running around frantically. Kevin, in surprise, nodded and flapped off, rather alarmed by the sudden outburst of Kestrals previous quiet thoughts.

Kestral began the search, leaving the gems safe and secure under a rock while he tried to find a rope. To his surprise, he discovered a snake; misinterpreting it for a rope. "Oh! I found some!" He said, reaching out and grabbing for the snake. How was he supposed to know it was Kenna's helper?

In the mean time, Kevin had flown off to who-knows-where, in search of rope.

Finally, GOOD! Her father still cared. She surely had to keep him on his toes, looking out for her at all times, even if he didn't know it.

Not showing the lies in her eyes, she neither gave him a yes, or a no, and simply shrugged it off. "Just wondering." She giggled, changing the subject rather quickly. "Love you Dad! Can I go play now?" She grinned, tail wagging innocently.

Lupita

She gave a loud snarl as Yachiru pounced on her, mostly because of the surprise. Immediatly she freed herself and looked over at Yachiru, trying to calm down. "Yachiru, don't scare me like that.. She said, trying to laugh a bit and keep herself calm. "Your siblings are over there, along with Kali. They seem to be playing a game.. or... something," She said, nodding off in that direction. As Hidan approached, she lowered her ears and glared at him. Why was he screaming? "WHAAAATTT?" She said, just as loud, in return. He looked, kinda messed up. "The hell happened to you?" She asked, lifting a paw and looking inside his bloody ear, sort of concerned.

"AHHH! OH MY GOD!" Kestral shouted as the rope magically began to move and hiss at him, making a strange rattling sound. "YOUR A WEIRD ROPE!" He said, throwing the snake to the ground, staring at it for awhile. "Oh. Hi! What's your name? Sorry about that." He said, finally realising it was Kenna's helper.

Kevin eventually returned, somehow carrying an extremely long rope. "Look, I found one!" He said, dropping the 'rope' on Kestral from the sky, even though it was actually a really old dampened twig that would probably stay like a necklace if it dried out the correct way. Good enough, right? Kevin landed happily on Kestral's head, looking down at the snake. "Oh, that's not a rope Kestral. Nope. Tsk Tsk."

"WHAAAAAAAT?!?!" Hidan hollered back, not being able to hear his mother fussing over him...She was fussing over him, right? Well, at least she was looking into his ear. Maybe she had asked about it? He spat a stream of acid onto the ground. "Karasu messed up my damn hearing with her damn loud voice." He muttered, but it came out as an outside voice.

Raising a brow as Kali vanished and then came back, Hibari shifted uncomfortably. "Um...Truth, I guess?" He could lie, right? Kali didn't mean like, the TRUTH the truth...right?

The pink wolf sat down. Why were Dan-dan and Sparky talking so loud? But Sparky had mentioned a game. "Ooh! Ooh! I wanna playyy!" And she bounded off in the direction Lupita had pointed towards. "Hey, Bari! Hey, Li-li! Hey, uh...." She froze at the green pup, not knowing who he was at all. "Who are you?"

She looked down as he spoke and tried to contain the trembling she felt in her body, she wanted to cry but she held her emotions and looked at him and said "I know you are and I respect that about you... You won't need to wait long at all I promise I know I want to be with you." She felt the weight of the commitment heavier now than she had ever in her life and said "I-I have to have a minute.." She turned and sprinted into the woods her paws smoking and catching flames as she just ran and ran trying to think through what she had just done..she knew she loved him but she was willing to commit herself at just a year old? She ran to wrap her head around it thinking it through before she stopped and sat in the cool moist leaves hidden in the shade of a few trees.

She looked over at the grayscaled male, watching him with her own ears flattened. "Kodi, I know you well enough to know you can't hide your emotions. Why else do you think I've caught onto your anger and loathing to be near me?" Dezera sighed, bring her head down to her paws in silence. He could either admit it or not, but she knew either way that it was true. Whether she wanted to accept it or not, was another thing.

Her eyes glazed for a moment. Dezera was glad that Akemi wasn't around right about now. To see this and to point out her being weak, she didn't want to deal with that or him right now.

The alpha growled slightly and wrinkled his nose as Karasu tried to tickle it. "I mean it, Karasu!" He barked after her, now in somewhat of a bad mood. Nobody would touch his daughter unless HE said they could. Great. Now he was paranoid of this...boyfriend character. He'd be sure to tear his liver out when he found him. STill growling, Kenpachi got up and began to wander in a random direction, not even realizing that it wasn't the direction that he had come.

Hidan rolled his eyes, and gave a shrug. He couldn't hear a word his mother was saying. Oh well. It probably wasn't all that important to begin with. "Hey, what the-!" he instinctively began yelling as he was forced to sit down, but once he realized what Lupita was doing, sat very still. Once the familiar jolt passed through him, the acid dropped from his system and crackled with electricity.

The brown yearling smiled at his mother fawning over him. "Yeah, that did the trick," he answered without even realizing that his hearing had returned. "Thanks, Mom." He flicked his tail, and with a loud crack, sent a lightning bolt across the grass.

Naomi smiled at her mate, her tail wagging while curled around Aiden's. "Up for the challenge? Besides, they can take care of us when we're done taking care of them." She giggled, nuzzling into his graying fur. She knew that this was a good oppurtunity since both were always busy and summer was coming to a close soon. Besides, with their aging, it was a wild card on whether they'd get a litter or not.

Naomi gave him a lick on the nose, allowing him to persue if he wished too. She looked happily at him, her gaze full of love every time.

"Yeah yeah, whatever dad." She grinned, flicking her tail up near his nose since he was sort of bent over to talk to her. She was rapidly growing, being well over a year now. Wouldn't be long till that 'season' came, and she knew whoever she picked would be up for a ride against her father.

But, she liked the thought of him caring. "I'll see ya around, Pops." She grinned, turning back to wink at her Dad before scampering off, wanting to join in on the fun the other teens were having off in the distance.
