So I was having trouble with this issue of mine and I kinda need advice/support but I dont really want to go to any of my friends so i figured id talk to u guys :) so heres the problem...

I started going out with this guy that ive liked for a month or so, and today my friend was telling me that she was mad that i didnt ask her permission for us to go out. She went out with the guy im going out with now for like a few weeks about 10 months ago and she didnt like him, she only went out with him becuase she felt bad. So when i started to go out with the guy i thought she'd be fine with it, and honestly it didnt even cross my mind to ask her permission. Now shes all mad at me and i'm kindof wondering why, because i thought we were better friends then to let something like this get between us. Especially since I apologized and admitted I should have asked her. She's still mad.

Am I wrong here?

No. Why should you ask someone's permission to date an ex? That's kinda stupid. Maybe she's afraid of being left behind. (Gwad, I feel like I'm writting a 'Dear Abby'...) Suggest that she go to the movies with you or something. Show her that your not leaving her behind.

...Since when? Either i'm not a girl (gosh...I'm pretty sure...I mean, what kinda guy has boobies?) or i've never heard of it. Why do you need her permission to date? That's like asking your cousin permission to marry your fiance.

Whatever. So you've apologized and stuff, just leave it be. You've done all you can, now its her job to make the leap. You can only build a bridge so far from one side of the bank.

yeah your right. I only hope that she can figure this all out because honestly right now she's really confusing me. She didnt even like him, and when she broke up with him she was laughing. I really dont see what the problem is. I did apologize though so I guess I have to leave it alone.

I've never heard of that whole "permission thing"

Lol, I just hooked up my best friend with my ex, I don't see a problem with it, if I stilll had feelings with him, id be with him, that's where the term "ex" pops in, I think your friend needs to either confess her love for him or get over it :)
