New Wolf Era

Farah & Eziek

Farah and Eziek had followed slowly after. Eziek could feel the heat start to overcome him, making his shed his fur instinctually into a light, thinner coat. "It's good to be back. I've missed this sand." He barked, kneading the ground underneath him. Farah had started to pant, but still retained her chills. As soon as Eziek shedded, the fur that had grew long on Farah shedded as well. She looked scrawny now without the extra fur.

"I'm going to go back to my home to get some rest. Eziek, you can stay out if you so choose to. Just be home before dark." She said shakily before shuffling off toward her bed. Eziek kept straight watching his mother go before turning to Mizuki. "I should probably go and help her, just in case she gets worse or needs anything. Do you have any advice, I don't know what's wrong with her." He asked in a lower voice, almost hinted with a whine.

Eziek

Eziek frowned not wanting to face the facts yet that his mother was aging. It couldn't be, but the reality of it was. She was aging quicker than he had expected. "Oh yeah! That luck! It slipped my mind again, I'll go right to her and help give her some luck." He barked, optimistically. He looked at her, a smile flashing through his large fangs. "Thanks, Mizzy." He said, rubbing his head against the white wolf, between her shoulder and neck. He said a farewell toward her before dashing off toward Farah, leaving her with Lykken and Rosuto.

Masika

So many things happening at once! Masika smiled, in a very shy mannor towards Bluejay, then was surprised as Captain suddenly ran off and turned to watch him, sort of confused. The others were following, so she finally shrugged her shouldars and ran along with them. 

It actually felt.. quite nice to feel that breeze through her fur. Maskia began to smile, until suddenly Enkai was fallen infront of her. She noticed Captain turn around, and quietly the female walked up to Enkai's side, offering a paw. "Come on up," She said, in a quiet, nervous tone.

Farah & Eziek

"Mother, Mother!" Eziek called out, kicking up sand as he leaped toward their home. He sniffed around, got distracted here and there from a few changes since he was last around, then found their nesting area. Farah was curled up in a small heap, she looked peaceful despite the random shivers that shook her frail body. Eziek stood back, watching her silently before padding up to his mother. She seemed deep in sleep for she didn't awake, just stirred. Eziek dropped down and curled his body around Farah, pressing his wet nose into her neck and whispered, "You'll get better, I want you to take some of my luck. Get well soon." Eziek then started to clean his mother for her fur was unkempt while on their adventure. "Don't worry, I'll protect you, Mama"

Farah was, infact, still asleep in her slumber. However, she felt warmth and comfort and in her dream-like state. It felt like Enki was besides her, back to their last night together, cuddling. A smile spread across her face as he dream unfolded.

Masika

She inched backwards as the sea wolf seemed off by her gesture, but let out a sigh as Captain tried to explain. She giggled at his touch, smiling at him, then nodding to Enkai. "I won't hurt you, promise." She then bit her lower lip, "But.. you can't hurt me either.. o-okay?" She said, still uncertain about this beast.

Enki

The male sniffed the clean ocean air, smiling as he felt the sand beneath his paws. He looked around, noticing Mizuki off in the distance. Padding up to her, he sat down and glanced at the unfamiliar wolf, and Rosuto. Rosuto looked vaigly familiar, but he never actually met him. "Ahem," Enki cleared his throat, "Mizuki, could you tell me where Farah and Eziek are?" He asked, tail flicking back and fourth.

Mizuki

Yet another dumbfounded look, and the female gulped. "Speak of the devil," She said, watching as Enki approached. "Uh, why?" She asked, trying to stall. She knew Farah wasn't feeling well, and didn't know if Enki should disturb them. 

((Lol don't worry, I made sure not to kill her off in that post to make sure Enki had arrived. =) ))

Farah & Eziek

Farah, at this point, was struggling for words before she'd make her revelation of Eziek's father. She had to comfort her young one, licking him in between his ears as Eziek sobbed into her short fur. "Hush, my little one. It'll be alright," She cooed under her breath, giving off a hacking cought shortly after.

At Enki's call, Eziek lifted his head up and tilted his ears forward. It wasn't the time for Enki to be here. But, wait...did he just call him his son? That can't be right, Farah always said Enki was his father. He gave a quizzical look at Enki, looking from his mother to Enki.

Farah's tattered ear flickered before she slowly shifted to turn. At the sight of her old lover, Farah felt herself grow weaker with peaceness filling her heart. Oh, that was one of the last things she had wished for before she passed; to see him, one last time and be a family. Eziek's luck happened to work on her sick soul. She didn't even care that Enki spoke of being with the other wolf for so long, well, now he could be happily with her forever more. She tried to reach out to lick him, but she had no strength to rach out fully over to him.

"No, Fabio, she isn't. I'm trying to save her but she won't let me, she says she's dying." He whinned, his voice cracking, brushing his muzzle against Farah's side. She was always there, he wasn't ready to lose her. He just turned an adult, despite reverting back to a pup-like state for the time being.

Farah hung her head, " Eziek...Eziek, this isn't Fabio. It's your father, Enki. I just apologize that I didn't tell you about his identity sooner. Now, look to your father for guidence as I pass and your second mother, Mizuki. Make me proud in this world." She explained, her head dropping to her brown paws.

"I'm coming Belle...I..I love you...both, Enki...Eziek..." At last, Farah felt her final breath come out as a sigh, her body gave off a final shudder and a peaceful aura surrounded her body.

Eziek

Eziek whimpered, backing up as Enki went forth to wrap around her. He was still utterly confused as to this green wolf before him, was actually his father. How was that possible? Why didn't either of them tell him?! Eziek wouldn't allow it to faze him right now, his mother was of dire importance right now. Tears streamed down his face as he slowly circled around his parents. Eziek closed his eyes and dropped down beside Farah and Enki.

"Mama, please..." He begged finally, tilting his ears toward her. It was hard to hear her body over Enki and Himself's beating heart. Finally, he pinpointed it and there was stillness in his mother's strained heart. He'd never hear that soothing beat again, the beat he'd lie still besides in comfort as a pup. The blood flowed no more and Eziek could feel her body start to grow cold. "She's gone..." He whispered finally, muffled by her pink fur. He peeked up, thinking he spotted a flash of pink spectre stop before them, watch silently before fading into the background; one full of youth and not deformed with a seagull climbing up into the sky.

Eziek

Eziek rubbed his tear stained fur into her white one. "S-She did love the b-beach, wouldn't ever leave, it was always home." He commented back, giving off a sniffle. "I just wish she was alive, that's all I want." He dug his head back into his fur. He paid no mind to Enki right now, even if he was his father. He didn't act like a father to him, so Eziek wasn't ready to treat him like one, not when all this pain filled his heart from his mother's passing. Though, he was faintly listening to Enki's body process, it seemed he was under a great deal of emotional stress as it was affecting his body, which explained all the lashing out.

Captain

A large smile crossed the males face and he spun in a circle. "Wonderful! We are all frayands up in hurr." He wriggled around a bit, before turning and suddenly running off, "Arr mateys, we are a 'runnin. FEEL THE BREEZE!" Sure, Captain was headed somewhere, but right now, running was the main focus.

Eziek

"Yeah, I can feel that." The green wolf said solemnly, "But, it's not the same heartbeat. He's was softer, gentler. Mine is stronger. But, I can feel her." He replied softly, dropping his head to listen to his own heartbeat. He was controlling his heartbeat to start mimicing that of his mothers, his body tingled as it felt like he was nestled up besides her once more. He smiled through his tears, "Thank you, Mizzy." He gave her a thankful lick on the chin before turning slowly to watch as Enki lifted Farah's body up. "Like where?" He asked his alledged father, taking a few steps forward and reaching over to press his nose against Farah's once more, most likely for the last time.

Eziek

Eziek followed closely behind Enki, his head was bowed in sorrow. His eyes glanced up to notice Enki was examining the sand before him, he was unsure as to what he was doing exactly. The sight of the blooming flowers brought another smile to his face, they shared her fur colors identically and was soon coming into the form of a beautiful display. Eziek bent his head down to soak in the smell of the aroma. He could see the sun was touching the edge of the world. Eziek slunk down to sit down besides his father.

"Is this where you and mama met? She always liked telling me that story when I was really young, it was her favorite story." He announced, his voice was a low and even. "It always made her happy. I'm glad that at least she was happy again before...you know...she always was when she spoke of you. Should've figured it was you when you came to visit that one time, it was one of the happiest times I've seen mama in a long time. Her heart wouldn't stop pounding, I could hear it from a mile away," He explained, his voice was almost a whisper. He turned his head away as if it pained him to look at his father. It was strange talking to him now, or was it just the circumstance that made it this way?

Eziek

Eziek looked at his father oddly, tilting his head as he spoke. His mind was swirling with thoughts and emotions, it was all hard to take in. "If she didn't want me to know, why did she always tell stories about you and everything you did?" He asked in a squeek, almost feeling foolish for all the times he proclaimed to his mother about finding Enki one day and being a happy family again. "So, that was why she never introduced me to you when you came to visit that one time." He dropped his head to his chest and flattened his ears. His fangs shrunk back so they wouldn't stab him in the chest momentarily.

The next part made him look bewildered and face Enki. "B-Brother?" He asked, his forked tongue flickered out. Maybe his brother was older, from before Enki met Farah and left?

As Enki lectured the young adult about being loyal to females, he wanted to laugh but he just nodded his head. "I don't need to promise that, I already do. Besides, Mama talked about that to me once or twice." He replied, talking about her past pack and when she referred to Enki without mentioning names.

As Enki confessed to Eziek, the anatomical wolf stood up startled. Two mates? And his brother was...Damon?! That wolf he played with at the beach? "No..." He whispered under his breath. "So...this whole time I've been alive and away from us, you were with your other mate and Damon?" He asked sadly, his ears pressed firmly against his head.

He wanted to run, run away from all these problems that had formed with the passing of Farah. Eziek had never felt so unwanted in all of his life. He was neglected by his father for his other brother. As much of a friend as he was to Damon, what did that wolf have that Enki had preferred him over himself? It felt unfair and Eziek swallowed his sadness, positioning himself to have his back facing Enki now.

Eziek

He swallowed hard once more. Enki ran, leaving his mother and him but having full knowledge that he was to be alive. That still didn't explain why he stayed with her so long. He didn't understand, his head held a dull ache. "Trying to be a dad to one of your pups." He corrected under his breath, letting his claws dig into the sand but making sure not to pluck any flowers that colored Farah's grave. He felt betrayed by his mother for not mentioning it, but that soon vanished as he realized she was only protecting him. She always did that.

He tilted his chin toward Enki, still keeping his back toward him. "All my life," He started, "I've always wanted to meet you. To have that perfect family life. I've looked up to you and now all I believed was a lie." He rumbled oddly harsh for him, "Everything about it. I wish I could still believe you were lost or died trying to find your way back, instead of hiding and sleeping around. Your right, Mama deserved better. At least she was a parent to me and took responsibility." He wanted to storm off, but something held him back. Eziek knew his mother, she would've wanted him to stay and in her dying wish was to follow his guidence. He'd respect his mother and do as she said. Besides, if it would make her heart sing in the afterlife, he would do it.

Eziek

Eziek shifted around before getting up silently as Enki was finally putting Farah to rest. He circled around the grave, hoping to catch a last glimpse at his mother before buried over with the white sand. Eziek flattened his ears at Enki, he seemed to be growing furious at him. Enki wouldn't understand how it felt to be pushed off and get an unwanted vibe by his own father. He gave a mild flinch at his harsh words toward him. "I never said my life was horrible," Eziek mumbled under his breath, he was exhausted with this arguing. It was the worse feeling in his life, well, besides the pain of Farah's passing. He definitely got his father's genes when it came to dealing with pain, his mother would've ran off to avoid it. "Can we just bury her, sunset is coming and I don't want to see her lifeless body. It's like reliving the incident all over again." He sighed softly.

Eziek

The green adult just watched Enki before turning his head toward Mizuki. His body grew less tense at Mizuki's touch, standing silently. The breeze made his thick fur ruffle up as it pushed one way. He held back tears as Mizuki spoke, it was a beautiful eulogy and one that touched him. He cleared his throat, "Um, I guess I could add to it." He shook his fur, "She was very patient and very loyal, something that was admirable. I'm surprised she never lost patience with me," He took a quick glance at Enki, giving off a small smile, he turned his gaze once more to Farah. "She was selfless and was a intelligent wolf, she taught me most of what I know at an early age as we spent our time together in our little den. I hope she'll look down on me and be proud and worry free." He finished, lowering his head to pluck a pink flower.
