Rai flicked his ears and stuck his tongue out, licking the tip of Atra's nose. He breathed in her scent, and bringing up the crystal-clear memory of her. He wanted to tell her that she was beautiful, but he couldn't speak. He tilted his head, bangs flipping over his eye. Shinraisei gently pawed at his mate's face, careful not to scratch her in any way.

Atra pawed at Rais face in return, blowing gently on his nose. She licked the side of his face like a pup and then turned away from him, blushing deeply beneath her dark black coat. Atra sighed to herself and looked back at Rai, the insecurity gone from her face.

Vishu

He was going to give Atra his rabbit and see how proud she was of him but when he got closer he saw she was to busy for him and turned with a sigh his blue eyes began searching for his mother. Vishu was very lonley without anyone to play with except Dharma and he plopped down on the ground bummed and dissapointed.

Rai puffed his chest out, overwhelmingly happy. He carefully snapped his jaws at the air stream, then sneezed when Atra blew into his nose. His tail wagged furiously, becomming plastered with wet leaves. His three white wings spread out, then arched upwards, forming a protective barrier around the two. Shinraisei nipped at the dark fae's chin, and would have flattened himself to the ground if he had not been pinned on his back.

Zorr gave a brisk nod, "Ah, it went wonderfully. He is a very skilled hunter," He complimented before shaking his head at Artemis's offer. "Right now, I'm just testing out his abilities to see if he should be a hunter or warrior. I'm probably going to go see what fighting moves he has later, then ask which rank he would enjoy better." He added, "But, Thank you for the offer." The alpha knew that if Vishu would be made a hunting apprentice, that Zorr would assign Artemis to be his mentor.

"All is well with your brother and yourself?" The alpha asked, remebering their bickering a little after they had joined the pack. His crimson eyes gave a single blink and stared at her.

The Water wolf nodded her head politely. "I see. Well, that makes it easy. He could either go to myself or to my brother. My only hope s if he chooses to be a warrior, that he doesn't pick up on Apollo's bone-headedness. But he's not a half-bad teacher, I wouldn't think." She smiled brightly, midnight eyes dissapearing with a wide grin, then reappearing. "All is well, but my brother seems to be in a bit of a ditch. Frost won't talk to him anymore, and Atra has found her prince. Girls are like his own personal drug, but I'm training him to heel." She gave a slight chuckle, and flicked her ear. "Is all well on your end, Zorr?"

Zorr gave a gentle shake of his fur that surrounded his neck. "Speaking of Frost, I haven't seen that female around. She must be sleeping, or hibernating." He half-joked, swinging his tail back and forth. His ears perked up, "Everything is going fine on my end, just helping fix drama. All is peaceful in Sera, at the moment. I know Ronoh's pack has been pretty quiet around the borders, makes me nervous that they might be plotting something." He confessed, his eyes turning to peer across as if he could see the border line of their territories. "But, I'm sure it's nothing. This pack can definity hold their own if something were to happen." He confirmed, so the female wouldn't get worried.

Atra

Atra chuckled happily, licking Rai's nose after he sneezed. When his beautiful white wings spread around her, Atra lifted her own black wings in return, completely covering the pair until they were completely concealed in their own small world. There was an odd serenity Atra felt laying there, a unique calm that she had never known before. Her smile was placid and unwavering, but inside she was confused. The dark wolf actually found herself wondering-is this what love is like?

The water wolf bit her lip as Zorr mentioned the Ronoh pack, then gave a small smile as he almost said for her not to worry. "You can't afford to be unwary, especially with a neighboring pack that has a grudge against us. I'm not sure how many wolves they have over there, so we may be okay, but they might have a few, very powerful wolves that can bring us down. If it helps, I shall train part time as a warrior. But if they do attack, I hope they are foolish enough to fight in the sun. I don't know about you, but Apollo is noticeably stronger during the day, especially at noon. If not, Frost and I control the night." She bowed her head respectfully. "But the choice is yours." Her midnight blue ears flicked back, listening behind her. All this talk about war had frightened her and made her anxious. What if there was war? She was better as a huntress then anything else, as she did not have the powerful muscle her brother had. The only hope she had was to fight at night, or outrun the opponent, and then attack him while he was tired.

Rai twisted his head, like a puppy might when Atra licked his nose. He felt a giddy, dizzying happiness that filled his whole body. It was like a pleasant shock had run down his spine, and made him tingle. He remembered faintly about what his mother said was love, on how it made you feel lightheaded, and made your tongue swell up. It was like you were plunged into a warm hot spring, and the heat relaxed your muscles away. Shinraisei had never known any feeling like this, but he liked it ever so much, like the fae beside him. He arched his neck, nipping beneath Atra's ebony chin, and breathing in her scent. Rai had gotten used to the almost-unnerving scent of the Dark wolf, and found it quite pleasing.

Zorr gave a gentle shrug, "I assure you that I have kept vigilant about the borders, to ensure that nothing has been crosed that could come from a planned attack." He said in a stern voice. He peered off, trying to remember if he asked Maybelle to spy and patrol the borders. He might send another warrior off to check on the borders, but where were his warriors? The alpha saw no sign of Eli, and Atra was with Rai. What about Apollo, surely he would be a good warrior to check on the borders. Zorr gave a nod of his head, he would ask the wolf to do it when he arrived back.

The fire wolf shook his head, "No need to train, we have some skilled warriors of our own. If I see that we are outnumbered, I'll ask you, the hunters, to help intervene. I'm sure hunting has given you quite a few minor skills in the art of fighting." He said, feeling a warm breeze press past his firey fur.

Artemis nodded, dipping her silvery-head. "Alright." Her lips pulled back in a toothy grin. "Yes. It has shown us the weakest parts of the body, and teamwork can bring down the mightiest bull. I have no doubts about our warriors. The crushing fear of Darkness,the blazing might of Fire, and the mighty strength of Armor. A most terrifying combo, no?" The wolf tossed her head, mane flying about wildly. "Now that I think about it, we're okay."

Zorr flashed a grin, "See, there is not much to worry about." He confirmed, swinging his tail to and fro. He dipped his multicolored head at Artemis. "Sorry to cut our conversation short, but I must send your brother out on border patrol and see how the pup handles fighting." He said in his usual low voice. Zorr didn't move, just in case Artemis wanted to throw something into the coversation or offer her own farewell before he left.

He sat on the ground infront of his mother with the little rabbit between them. "Yea mom Zorr was hunting with me!" continuing a conversation from before. "Okay Vishu well I'm very proud of you and I'm sure Zorr will be back to talk to you and give you a mentor." Siva said and then proceded to give him his bath.

Zorr gave an equal dip of his head before turning on his heels. His eyes scanning Sera territory, looking for the other fire wolf of the pack. He spotted the fire-colored male sitting alone in the grass. Walking up to the male, "Hello, Apollo." He started, "Looks like you don't have much to do, today." He mused happily. "Why don't you check the borders, make sure nothing suspicious is going wrong." He said, letting his tail flicker back and forth.

Apollo blinked up at the alpha, and stuck his tongue out. "I was busy doing nothing until you got here." He muttered rudely, standing up and stretching. "Neh. What way are the borders, and what qualifies as suspicous?" He stood tall and cracked his neck, firt one way, then the other. The next things to crack were his shoulders. He gave a ****y grin, white teeth flashing. "Just kidding, 'god of the sun'. Oh wait. What's me. Never mind."

Zorr narrowed his crimson eyes, the faintest flickers of flame held in his pupils. "Just see to it," The alpha said simply, holding a tense voice. "Word of caution, if I find your have inadequetly done this task. I will make you do it again until you get it right, understand?" He said, lowly. Standing up straight, he swung around without another word to the wolf. He knew this wolf was a hothead and he would break him down, one by one, until he learned how to behave around him. He knew how to deal with fire wolves, for he was one himself.

Thor folded his wings high in the sky, angled his body and swooped down with great speed before shifting his wings skyward to come to a land on Zorr's back. Hobbling until he got to the alpha's shoulder, eyeing the pack members.

Atra looked deep into the eyes of the white wolf she believed she was falling for. Her mind drifted to past packs, past mates she had met. Every pair that had been in love had described it the same way- the moment where you care for someone more than yourself. It was happening to Atra. At this moment in time, in this world of her and Rai, Atra cared about nothing but the air wolf. Nothing else mattered. She forgot about herself, and only saw Rai. Atra smiled sheepishly and looked away.

Apollo snickered as Zorr turned his back to him. "Yeah, yeah. I gotcha. Look for anything suspicious....OH MY GAWD! It's a stick!" He snorted, and loped away toward the border, eyes open for anything suspicious.

Rai blushed, and that same tingling feeling shot down his spin. He grinned at Atra, wishing he could see her now. All he had was a mental image of her standing, fur matted to her sides in the rain, but she was immortally beautiful, even then. His body shook as if he were silently laughing, and he was. He was enourmously lucky to have such a goddess to call his own, almost unfairly so. The white wolf's maw parted, and formed the words, 'I love you'.

Atra smiled happily, her eyes lighting up. She understood what Rai had mouthed to her and as he did so her heart had skipped a beat. She inhaled sharply and whispered, "I love you infinately more." In her heart she knew this was true. It was impossible to love a wolf as much as Atra loved Rai, at least in her mind. Atra smiled, revealing her sharp teeth, and revealing the true joy she got from being with the white wolf of the air.

Rai nodded, feeling very hot indeed. His head tilted, ears flopping inside-out. How could he tell her that they forgot to ask the Alpha's permission. He could try mouthing it. 'We need to get the Alpha's permission,' he silently spoke. Would that be good enough? The white wolf didn't want to move and effect Atra in anyway, so he stayed as still as stone.

Atra nodded, hearing Rai almost perfectly. "Hmmm...I guess we did." she looked down at Rai, a devious smile on her lips. "Do we have to?" she wondered innocently, placing her head in the crook of Rai's neck, showing just how much she didn't want to move. Atra licked the white male's soft fur and purred almost like a cat.

Rai gave a heavy sigh, but still remained as still as a statue. He barely nodded his head, for fear of desturbing Atra. He would have wimpered, but his vocal cords were torn out long ago. His ear flicked, givign way to an idea. He could always awaken long before dawn, and hopefully find the alpha, ask him, and find a nice bunch of flowers for his mate before he returned. Shinraisei tilted his head, showing his compliance toward Atra before gently licking her face.

"Sooo, my love, are we telling Mr. Alpha or not?" the dark female chuckled airly. She lightly shook herself so she wouldn't bother Rai too much and looked deep into the opaque eyes of Rai. She closed her eyes, trying to envision what it was like for Rai. The female sniffed at the air and smiled, opening her eyes once more.

Rai turned his head toward Atra, and inclined a little. He tucked his chin in, showing who would ask, then twisted his head from east to west, hopefully showing the time in which he would ask. His shoulders bunched, hoping his mate would not be too confused on what he was trying to say. 'I'll go.'

Rai shook his head, not wanting to go, but gently pushing Atra off him and standing on all fours, shaking the dead leaves and things from his white pelt. He gave a soft lick on his mate's cheek as an apology and fled off in the direction of the fiery alpha.

Shinraisei slowed to a pad when he reached the alpha, silently bowing low as his helper came swooping out of the sky. The white wolf stood to his full height, tail curling around his back.

"Alpha Zorr," Toshiro started, already figuring what his wolf wanted to ask. "Rai would like permission to try to breed." Both the owl and the canine started to turn pink around the cheek, but it quickly fadded just as quickly.

Atra shook herself as she watched Rai leave her, and she sighed. Scraching her ear and then her nose with her paw, Atra waited for her mate. She laid down for a moment, and then returned to a sitting position. Her anxiousness was obvious in the way the she-wolf was acting. She didn't want to wait for permission, though she knew it was the correct thing to do. The blood running through her veins longed for Rai to be with her again, and anger flashed into Atra's eyes. This is what being in a pack had done to her.

It had forced her to behave. To contain her anger.

The dark wolf hated it. Obedience. Order. It made her skin crawl. But it had also given her Rai. Atra dropped to her stomach once more and laid her head on her paws. It had given her Rai. Atra thought of this as she waited for the white male to return.

Zorr turned his head and looked at Rai. He figuired one of the wolves would approuch him and ask. He knew there would be less of a success rate, due to the lateness of seasons. But, he considered it a blessing from his father and the Gods if they shall help bring the future to this pack. He gave a genuine smile, "Of course you may," The alpha said softly, seeing their faces. Rai thankfully inclined his head, turning and speeding off towards the woods, helper taking wing and going off to hunt. Along the way, his nostrils were wide open for any appealing smelling flowers. There was a sweet scent he recognized as Lilac, and then there was the sharp smell of Lavender. Flaring white wings, the wolf banked towards the sharp smell, nimbly bounding over the knolls of the meadow. The scent grew stronger, and he slowed down, using his nose to direct himself to a Lavender bush

Shinraisei sniffed at each of the flowers, looking for the ones that smelled the strongest, and picking them carefully with his teeth. Once he had gathered five or so, the canine gathered them gently in his fangs, traveling swiftly back to his mate.

The white wolf unfurled his wings, bowing low and dropping the flowers at Atra's dark paws. He took a step back and waited for her reaction.

Atra smiled happily down at the flowers, and then ran up to Rai and licked his cheek tenderly. "Thank you my love," she whispered into his ear. Nipping at the white hair of Rai's ear, the dark female chuckled. "So what did he say?" she wondered, sitting and then falling into a sphinx-like position. Atra nuzzled herself into Rai's chest, for he was still standing, and waited for a hint of the alpha's response. Atra felt safe and comforted with Rai above her, an odd emotion for the dark wolf. She was not used to protection from another, safety from company. She was not used to letting her guard down. But Atra was risking all she knew for this wolf, and she didnt mind it.

Rai puffed out his chest, trying to make it possibly more comfortable for Atra. His ears flicked uncomfortably from the nip, but it was nothing he was not used to. His white neck arched, and he licked at the top of Atra's head. Shinraisei gave a small grin and nodded feverishly, jaw banging against his bracer. He almost wished Toshiro was here to take it off, as he did not need it with Atra here. His tail curled around his back like a husky's might, and his wigs furled, tucking close to his body.

Atra smiled deviously and laid on her back, exposing her stomach to Rai. Such a vunerable position was not something the dark she-wolf was used to, for she rarely allowed herself to be in a vunerable position. She smiled though, hiding her anger for this weakness she had. She pawed gently at Rai's face with her paws, almost like a pup. She kept her claws retracted though so she wouldn't scrach him by accident. Giggling her eyes flashed black for a moment as a dark thought passed through her head.

Rai tilted his head, feeling the shift in Atra's position, and moved to compliment her, standing nobly over her, four pillars of his legs trapping his mate so she wouldn't move. The white wolf bent his neck down to lick at her black fur, gently nipping her chin. His lips curved in a wolfy grin, tail wagging happily.

Atra smiled her contentment and playfully struggled against Rai's hold. She never moved too fiercely or squired too quickly so she would be released. She only played, allowing Rai to feel like he had the upper hand as the dark wolf knew all males liked. She licked his nose gently and continued to gently try to be released.

Rai tilted his head at the wiggling Atra beneath him, confused about what exactly she wanted. She seemed to be trying to escape, but at the same time, liked being trapped. He stepped over her, standing to her side, tail swishing gently. His wings extended upwards and outwards, making him look like an angelic statue.

Atra got up after escaping Rai and stood in front of him, tilting her head at his display of his wings. It was so odd to her that one such as he would be so proud of his wings, even after all it seemed he had been through with them. Atra looked to her sides as her own folded black and red wings. She sighed, for they were a mockery to her of what she could not have. A dark wolf could never claim the skies, this she knew. The dark female had tried, even as a pup, but her hind legs always stayed planted firmly on the ground. Perhaps it is different for him, she thought, perhaps knowing how to fly makes him love his wings. Atra slowly unfolded her own wings, enjoying the breeze that sifted gently through the feathers. Despite her own dislike of her wings, Atra smiled at the feeling.

Rai tilted his head at the Dark female, somehow sensing her aura. He folded his wings up as quickly as possible to avoid embarrasment or resentment to her. A stronger wind passed by thier grotto, the ocarina giving a questioning tweet. The white wolf's head went down in an apologetic way, ears pressed against his skull. Suddenly, as if that wind had wiped away all sadness, he reared up, three holey wings beating as hard as they could, blowing a huge gale in Atra's face, wolfish grin placed firmly on his maw.

Atra laughed out loud at her mate's antics, and bounded up to him, folding her wings and pushing herself against the air. When she finally reached him, Atra jumped playfully onto Rai's back and nipped on the air around his ear. She pulled up some darkness around her and used it to cool Shinraisei. After a small time she had to pull back on the dark though, for she feared she was chilling Rai too much.

Rai shivered the slightest at the touch of the darkness, fighting hard a flashback, instead focussing on Atra. He came down hard upon the ground before rearing again, attempting to throw his mate from his back. Touching back down, he kicked his hind legs up, maw parted in a grin. Shaking his head, he flopped his mane over to the other side of his neck, much like a horse would.

Atra smiled and jumped off of Rai, landing neatly on her paws. The dark female threw back her head in a laugh and she leaned into her mate. Atra breathed deeply to get the scent of Rai and smiled as it filled her nostrils. She closed her eyes in content and rested next to the white male.

The white wolf breathed deeply as Atra leaned against him, and a wing extened over her body to keep her warm. Dipping his head, he nuzzled her, but the bracer on his neck restricted him. Twisting his head up at the heavens, he waited, black bandana flittering in the wind. In a matter of moments, Toshiro was there, and quickly undid the knots and ties. When they were loose enough, the leather article dropped onto the ground, revealing the embarrasing scar and the soaked fur where the bracer had trapped moisture.

With the hinderance gone, Shinraisei dipped his head in gratitude toward his helper and away the owl flew. Rai sighed once again, and rested his neck against Atra's, softly rubbing his cheek on the back of her head and lovingly licking her ears.

Atra let out a small moan in hapiness as Rai rubbed against her in return. She studied the gash on his neck that had recently become exposed, but she did not think he should feel shame for it. Atra had pleanty of scars, but unlike her mate they were hidden under her dark skin and fur. Atra wouldn't mind having a few prominent scars, for it would show others she was not to be messed with. Most wolves unfortunately discovered this fact too late. Atra licked the spot right above Rai's scar so she knew it wouldn't hurt him. She smiled at him to show he didn't need to feel embarrased around her.

Rai subconsciously gulped as Atra licked his scar, fearing injury. It was a very sensitive spot for him, and he hoped he could be able to show her why. To him, it was proof of his weakness of not being able to kill the Elite rival quickly enough, and it was his punishment. Also, it was his gift. He now enjoyed the happiness silence had brought him. To him, everything good came out of hardships.

A gentle smile played on his lips, and he gently closed his jaws upon one of his mate's dark ears, gently sucking.

Atra smiled and leaned into Rai at the strange new feeling. She wasn't accustomed to such intamacy. Atra had always confined herself to a life of solitude, even in the packs she used to belong to. The wolf of the dark had never had a mate and up until she met Rai, had never planned on having one. It was so strange to feel close and open with someone, and so the wolf kept up her guard despite the fact that she knew Rai would never hurt her.

he dragged his heavy paws into the pack lands. Each step felt like it took all the strength he had just to pick up his fur as he crossed into the clearing his fur rippled and became a shiney metal his soft green eye took on the metallic green of a robot and he took his slow,sad gate to a more dominant and angry stance he let all his anger burn out into his walk using that as energy. He knew if he let sadness burn he wouldn't look as strong so he pushed that into his stomach and walked on saving it for later.

Zorr stood up, looking around his territory and at his pack. They seemed very withdrawn, maybe it was because of the cold weather that kept them at bay. Zorr ruffled his fur up with a few flickers of fire to warm himself up before loping around, looking for Vishu. He needed to see if he enjoyed being a warrior now before he made his decision on what Vishu would be apprenticed as.

Zorr's ears gave a gentle flicker as he heard the stomping of an armor wolf and recognized it as Eli's. The alpha gave a small dip of his head in a silent welcome, even if the wolf didn't see him entirely.

He noticed a small movment and saw the alpha nod to him. He stopped and gave a bow bending one leg under him at the knee and then extending the other and dipping his head. He stood back up and began to walk again.

Atra smiled at her mate, understanding his message. "Nothings wrong, don't worry," she said sweetly. Atra inhaled deeply, noticing a familiar scent on the air. Eli. The she-wolf's breath caught in her throat as she remembered all that had transpired. Atra felt her muscles tense as her mind raced with guilt and sorrow. She lay her head down on the ground and sighed, trying to breathe through her mouth so she wouldn't smell Eli.

He kept his eyes trained on the path he walked as he scented Atras cold scent. He new if he looked around he would see her and he didn't think he could stand seeing her and Rai cuddling just yet. He walked to a little tree and laid under it he was drained emotionaly and physically. He let his eyes close as he listened to the sounds of nature.
