New Wolf Era

Captain

His eyes rang up in curiosity as the wolf finally showed herself and introduced herself. "Ahoy, Aurora, Ahoy, Tazz!" He chuckled, Hook squawking in chime with his voice; "Ahoy, Squaaaaawk! Ahoy! Pretty bird!" He said, whistling a bit at the female. Captain nudged him a bit and mumbled something about minding his mannors, and then nodded in a happy-go-lucky way.

"Arr, Me first mate Hookie and I was thinkin' about goin' for a surf." He suggested, "That be an adventure for a land lubber like yerself. Are ye familiar with thee water?" He pondered, head tilting to the side as he gave her a toothy grin. "Surely a brave lass like yurself would luff tuh surf with Ol' Captain."

Captain

The ol' sandy colored wolf gave a smile and nod as the female and ferret seemed to agree, and he turned his head for a moment to test the wind, sticking his tongue out and licking a paw before holding that paw up in the air.

"Ah, sounds mighty swell, the swell is gunna be growin' here soon, as a storm be headin' our way." He noted, seeing the dark clouds off in the distance. They weren't much of a threat right now, but he knew spring was hitting since the sky was getting darker. Spring showers were always nice, hopefully it wouldn't be too dangerous.

"Well, C'mon matey!" Captain said, smiling at the female and then towards the other named Scarlet, "If ye want to join us too, come right O' head!" He gave a toothy grin and then turned to take off towards the water. On his way he kicked up his trusty surf board and Hook caught it in his feet, carrying it up and towards the water for him as he picked up another similar board, but it was a bit less worn down than his own, obviously not used as much.

"Here's ye board, lass!" Captain said with a mouth full of wood, handing the old board over to her. It was just a hunk of wood, but Captain had control of the water so it worked fine as long as Hook was around. "Ye ever surf before?" He asked, turning his head out to look at a beautiful large wave that just crashed upon the surface. "Can be a scurry essperience for the land lubbers!"

Kestral

The sand was an amazing feeling between his paw pads and he couldn't help but want to run faster, the overwhelming amount of happiness making this moment ten times more exciting. It wasn't long though, until the typical clumsy male was forced to hit a hole in the sand and send himself flying and landing with a thud on his back. He was fine though, the adrenaline of fun making the pain not as noticable, and he quickly looked back to smile at Kenna. His tail wagged and he laid there, noticing she was running straight at him. Holding his ground for impact, he prepared himself to be tackled or charged into, and was ready to hold his own as his smile grew bigger. "Betchya can't knock me over!" He teased, sitting up in a laying position, determind to hold his ground by literally digging his paws down into the sand, just waiting for the beautiful female to come at him, as though it was a playful challenge: something he had never really gotten to experience until now.

Kestral

His eyes opened wide and his smile turned into one of surprise as the whole scenario seemed to play out in slow motion - Kenna collided with him, and although she was successful at knocking him over he immediatly sat upright and looked her over, not even thinking about his own pain, as he was too concerned about her. Reaching out, he licked her forehead carefully and assured himself that she was alright.

"Oh! Kenna, please be careful!" He started to say, but then it turned into a loud fit of laughter,

"DUDE! I was all like, AAAAHHH! WOOSH, then, you were all like, WEEEE, WOOAH, WOOOOSSHHHH, and we were all like, BANG! TUMBLE, AHHHH!" He fell backwards again, laughing about the whole thing. Sitting up, he had a nice round egg coming through on the top of his head where the pair had collided. Raising a paw up to his head, Kestral just laughed again, his eyes going soft as he smiled at her.

Kestral

He seized his laughing and laid down next to her, throwing his paws up into the air as he looked up to the clouds, then over to her. "I'm fine." He said softly, giving her a smile. He stretched his head over and licked between her eyes, letting out a soft laugh once again. "You're fun." He whispered, even if she didn't do anything besides crash into him, it was the most fun he had ever had.. besides all other moments involving Kenna.

"Am I dreaming?" He asked, not sure why, but reality didn't feel like reality - was he really back, dreaming in the cave? "I've had dreams like this before." He said, softly. 

"I never dreamed they'd be real..." His eyes looked back up to the clouds, mentally figuring out shapes and things that the clouds could be morphed into, such as a few that looked like lizards, and one looked like.. a rock.

Kestral

He thought about what she was saying, never having thought of it that way. "If we are dreaming together, I never want to wake up." He said, feeling oddly confident about himself. He finally felt like he was good enough for someone, not just that stupid wolf everyone picked on and never understood. Whatever he did, he was thankful for.

"See that cloud up there?" Kestral raised a paw, motioning towards a puffy cloud floating by casually. "It looks like a duck. what do you think?" He grinned, moving his head to rest it against her's which was now against his shouldar. It was so nice to have a best friend, and most importantly, a mate. He felt so achieved in life, and he felt so greatful to have met Kenna. 

Kestral

The male laughed at her joke, his eyes lighting up from the fun side he was still learning Kenna had more and more of. When she suddenly became very serious, his emotions quickly matched to hers and he was serious as well.

"Kenna, you didn't drag me anywhere..." He thought back to his puphood, and although he was still young, he realized just how silly he was. "I was just some kid, in love with some girl too good for him." He explained, "And, I never really.. noticed Tarin.." He honestly said, "I guess I was just too stupid... If I would h ave known he hurt you, I would have saved my princess much sooner." Since she had looked up at him he took the opportunity to touch her nose to his and smiled.

"Can I tell you a secret?" He asked, batting his eyelashing playfully, and innocently at her.

Kestral

The male grinned down at her, always having to of wanted to tell her such words, but hoping she wouldn't be upset about it.

"Remember that time when I, um, well, accidently.. well.." As if he was three months old again, Kestral seemed to become uncontrollably nervous about speaking to Kenna as if she was a higher God and it was a scary thing to do. He took a deep breath though, a bit more mature than he used to be as he tried to explain his thoughts without sounding like a lunatic.

"Remember that time I accidently kissed you, in the forest?" He said, in almost a squeek. 

"Well, uh, it wasn't an accident." It was the most brave thing he had ever done as a pup, and it was hard to admit to it. He hoped she wasn't mad. "You were just so astounding to me, so beautiful and magnificent, I just didn't know how to express my feelings, and I had a pretty feeling I wouldn't have a better chance, so, I played it out.. and.. well, I'm sorry. I just had too!" He was talking much quicker than normal, all the while he turned and was lying ontop of her now, his chest resting on hers. Looking down at her, he couldn't help but try is again, closing his eyes and leaning in.. "It was just a wonderful feeling, I couldn't let that chance slip away.. it just felt so wonderful, like this..." He then kissed her once again, but this time using his element to transmit the butterfly feeling he had felt on the day it had happened, trying to show her how much she meant to him, even back when they were tykes.

Kestral

He smiled, opening his eyes once he was finished to admire her for a moment, looking down at her with a smile. It was getting dark out, and he figured they would rest here, and then explore in the morning. Although the day was wonderful, Kestral was honestly worn out and beat from the excursions they had gone through together, not to mention a bit sore from both Tarin and, the head bonk.

"I'm glad you are not angry." He smiled down at her, finally out of words as he just admired her beauty for the time being.

Kenna

She blinked lazily before opening her eyes wide in shock, she quickly realized where she was and her heart stopped thundering. She eased her way out of Kestrals paws careful not to wake him. He stomach growled hungrily and a small snack for herself and Kestral would be a great way to start off the day. She padded down the beach the early morning sun warming her fur and the cool sand under her paws. She reached the area that grass as begun to grow and scented the ground before lowering herself and stalking the scent of rabbit. She located him her body conceled in a scraggly bush, she stalked towards it before its ears perked up. She stopped and swore inwardly as the rabbit thumped, warning of danger to the others. She sprinted from her hiding spot and began to race the rabbit, her long legs carried her swiftly through the half sand half grass ground before the animal darted into a small hole. She growled and began digging, in the midst of her hunt she suddenly heard rustling. A quick turn of her head spotted a brown fur ball, she left the rabbit curious to see this new creature. With a nudge the ball unfurled to a low growl in her face, a baby brown bear was staring back at her and before she knew it its cries attracted a lumbering sound that seemed to be harrowing through the bushes to the left. She whipped her head around a snarl on her face before her lips fell and her eyes opened wide. She stood still petrified as the mother grizzly stood on her hind legs and let out a whining roar at her. She couldn't seem to find her legs as the bear lashed out at her, the shock from the pain is what motivated her and with a stupid idea she charged the bear. She nipped at her hind legs before retreating, only succeeding in pissing he off further. The bear charged her and she took off running "KESTRAL!" She screamed at the too of her lungs, she ducked into a thicket on the edge of the forest. The bear scented for a moment seeming to lose her but then baffled through the bushes that offered the only exit large enough for Kenna. In an attempt to save herself she lit her body on fire and snarled fearfully. A flaming paw extended towards the thing hoping to scare it off.

Captain

The male was silent, slumbering quietly, or so it seemed. The truth of the matter, his sleep was never deep, and he was always awakened easily, even by the sound of the passing waves. Eyes kept closed, Captain listend quietly and allowed Enkai to continue her ritual and once she was making her way away, was it then that his eyes opened. He lifted his paw, looking down at the scale-like shell and couldn't help but smile.

Although he never understood Enkai, the other part of him understood her entirely. He knew she would be gone forever, continuing a life of her own spirits, rather than here. Some wolves were meant to be here, while others weren't. Captains destination had ended,  he was too old to continue his travels looking for awesome swells and big waves to ride on, this was his home now.

Standing, Captain allowed the water to brush against his paws as the waves crashed ashore, finding peace within the traveling energy. 

"Goodbye, Enkai." He said, dipping his head towards the sea creature, as she had disappeared for awhile, but he still watched towards the horizon. 

Kestral

He was sleeping so soft and sound as the morning beaches waves soothed his inner soul. But, as soon as Kenna's frightened voice blasted through his ears he immediatly lifted his head and looked around, frantically. Following the auroa of his mate, Kestral was quick to hear the frightning noise of a beast he had never heard before.

What in the world was that thing?! And why was it so mad at Kenna?!

Kestral immediatly ran out infront of Kenna, standing tall and pulling air into his lungs like his parents would when they wanted to look tough, and staring the beast down.

"Excuse me, mister big thing. Would you mind toning it down a bit? You're being awefully scary, and my mate and I would appreciate it if you...." Kestral was forced to stop speaking as the bear reached up, right in his face and let out a stinky, fishy smelling roar.

Kestral looked back to Kenna just in time to avoid the large claw swing at him, and shouted, "RUN!" Before turning back to the bear and fixing his stance to a spread out, large stance. Something he had never tried, but figured he would give it a shot.

Kestral's eyes began glowing with a bright white, along with his auora. He was attempting to change the auora of the bear, using his element. The current emotions the bear was feeling was protection, scared, and angry. Kestral flip-flopped these, throwing in calm and peaceful, along with serenity to the bears auroa. He could only stand and continue on, controlling the bear as he settled down, blowing out of his nose a bit and turning away towards his cub, making his way off to the forest. 

Kestral knew the world to him was colorful, full of meaning and auroras, but to anyone else it would have looked like a creepy magic trick, and as soon as the bear disappeared Kestral's white auroa disappeared, and he fell to the ground.

Kestral

The male opened his eyes slowly, beat from the intense amount of energy he had so recently used, especially first thing in the morning.

"Most importantly, are you okay?" Kestral asked Kenna, his voice weak but he still managed to smile up at her. "He was cute and all, but I don't really think he was your type. You like those mean ones, don't you?" Kestral joked, reaching up to lick her cheek. He noticed her shouldar had gotten scratched, and anger immediatly filled in his eyes. "Did that thing do that to you?!" He shouted, mad at himself for not making it in time to protect the love of his life.

Kenna

She looked up as he mentioned fire balls and with a slight puff a small ball of flames shot into the skies blasting the first bird in the chest killing it. It began to fall but she let out a smoke ring that floated up and encircled the birds neck carrying it to them and she let the smoke ring dissapait and the floating bird fell into Kestrals paws. She looked up again and another shot of fire streamed for the birds but it missed and as she saw that the fire suddenly turned on a dime and blasted the bird in the back snapping its spine. Once again a smoke ring encircled the neck but this time when it got to Kestral it left the neck and turned into a heart before dispersing. She smiled and she said "How about we kill two birds with one stone?" She sent up a hawk but not a corral hawk a hawk made of fire, the seagulls attacked owls and hawks in the daytime and made the mistake to try and attach this one too. As they made contact the flames killed the birds all of them being caught on a floating smoke cloud that hovered under the fire hawk. The cloud floated back down and laid out 5 more birds infront of them. "To easy." She smiled.

Kenna

She smiled and began eating her belly quickly filling off of two of the birds she looked over and said "Sure we can." She smiled and said "We can visit my old home, it's the only place like it on the beach." She knew she could still find it as she was sure it was the only washed up ship here." She stretched out her short tail wagging and she said "Im so happy to have found someone like you to spend my time with." She was never bored around him, always feeling happy and excited. He made her a different wolf than she had been with Tarin, he seeme to keep her bu-polar under control too.

Kenna

She squinted at the wolf before nodding her head in agreement "He does look very familiar." She had lived her for a while though so it made sense that she would probably know him. She spotted a large brown lump in the distance and smiled at the old ship that captain had washed ashore for them.it was like a light bulb went of in her head and as she looked back to wolf she said "His names Captain! I remember him from when I was little."

Kenna

She followed after Kestral and took the remaining seagull with her, she sat down next to him and said "Hi Captain, you might not remember me cuz it's been such a long time but it's me Kenna! Banshee and Kaynas daughter. And this is my mate Kestral." She smiled before looking at the birds and saying "We over hunted and we wanted to give them to you." Low flames swirled along her paws at her excitement.

Captain

His eyes were shut for the moment being, until he heard the sound of others approaching. Carefully he turned his head, looking rather chipper despite his growing grey hairs. "Ahoy!" He said as the pair made their way to him, they both looked awfully familiar. Once they said their names, Captain stood up and couldn't believe his eyes.

"Aye, you two?! Mates?!" He was astounded that these two, whom he hadn't seen since they were both wee lads, were together. "Aye, young love. Breaks me heart." He chuckled, tail wagging as he focused now on the seagull, gracious for the gifts they had brought him. "Aye? Both for me! Aye thank thee." Reaching out, he pulled them to his side, touching his nose to both Kenna and Kestral as a thank you. 

"Kenna..." He turned to look at her. "My lassie. You have grown to such a beaut. Aye, ye look like yur mother, ye got her face." He smiled to her, missing his old friends Kayna and Banshee. "How old you two be now? Must be hittin' the second year, or close to it, yarr?" He grinned, eyes turning to Kestral. He noticed the gem around both of their necks, remembering about the story of this little pup. "So ye got the girl, aye?" He grinned, "And ye turned into such a handsome lad. So good to see ya both. Ye want to check out ol' shipwreck?" He turned and motioned to the abandoned home Captain had brought to shore years ago. Today, he wouldn't have the strength to do such a challenge, being older and wiser, it was never good for his back. But, he was proud of what he did for the young, loving couple, and couple believe now how old he really was. Turning back, he lowered his head to take a bite out of the first seagull, realizing just how hungry he was.

Kestral

His eyes were bright and happy when Captain recognized them, even happier to be here when he felt like it couldn't have been a better moment, only moments ago. Turning to look at Kenna as Captain complimented her, he could only feel better about himself to have achieved such a lovely and beautiful mate. He knew his future was golden, and his attitude towards things seemed so much simpler and easier to remember around Kenna. It was like they changed each other for the better.

Eyes turning back to Captain as he began to eat the sea gulls, he smiled happily as he brought up the gems around his neck. "I couldn't be luckier. My great friend helped me with this, I wish to see him again. Is he around?" He asked, referring to the luck wolf who had helped him in the future, but he couldn't put a name on it. "He helped my dreams come true. His name was.. some sort of plant or something? Or maybe it had something to do with a big cat.. Or perhaps that word you use when you don't tell the truth." Kestral shrugged, trying to remember the old luck wolves name. At the bringing up of the ship off in the background, Kestral brought a smile to his face and nodded. "We wanted to check it out. I'm sure it'd be wonderful if you joined us, and gave us the grand tour. I know Kenna hasn't been here in years..." He turned to look at her, remembering the day she joined Ronoh and how it was the second best day of his life. He was so young, yet he remembered it so well.. or so he thought.

Kenna

She shook her head and stood with a small smile, as she thought about the ship drying out a slight pang of worry ran through her but she said "Well it shouldn't be to bad." She tried to smile and be optimistic a trait she was beginning to share with her mate.

Kenna

As the entrance came into view a lump formed in her throat, she took a tentative step inside her flames extinguishing along her. She breathed and closed her eyes as the scent of wood and Greenery entered her nose. It had been a long time since the smell of her parents had been washed away. There were still the remainders of their home, the areas where they slept, the place her mother died at...Kenna's breath caught in her throat at that and looked at Kestral with sad eyes and said "This place has so many memories great ones and sad ones...I miss it."

 

 

Kestral

He gave her a sad smile, leaning in to press his nose to hers. "I can only imagine." He said, feeling her auoras and all of her mixed emotions. He wished he could only fill each with good feelings, but he just wasn't strong enough to do it after just changing the mood of a bear. Nuzzling into her, he noticed a grave behind her, and he walked over to it. Reaching his hand over the old dead flowers, Kestral brought the soul back into the flowers, making them light up with bright colors once again as if they never dried out and died. He looked back to Kenna, smiling softly as he took all the things Captain was saying into consideration.

"Do you really think we can fix this place up?" He looked over to Kenna, wondering what she was thinking.

"Kenna, would you like to rebuild your home and live here with me?" He asked, offering a smile. "It looks like it'll be a lot of work.. but perhaps by next year it'll be beautiful! Not to mention, we can travel the world looking for things to make this place really nice, like these." He brought his paw up to his neck, holding the gem in his paw for a moment. "If we can find more things like this, we could make a beautiful home here... forever!" He smiled, knowing that being a loner would also mean there was a lot of advantages, even if they did live here they wouldn't ever have to stay, but it was a place where they would always have shelter, and he loved the sound of that.

Captain

He looked around the ship, and then closed his eyes to smile. "Of course we can, matey!" He said with glee, "Perhaps we can find a Terra wolf to help us get the proper wood to fix it.." If not, they could manage, as they had fire and water on their side to control knocking down trees.. it would be tricky, but Captain liked the idea of having something to do. He smiled at the pair. "Aye, we could add some upgrades too, that top floor just needs some new floorboards, then ye will have a bit o' privacy ra'er than just one floor." He grinned, planning everything out in his mind accordingly; the only problem was, would they be able to do it?

Kenna

She gasped as Kestral broke through the boards and she immediatly lunged forward to grab him but was a hair to late. As he regained his balance she pressed her shoulder into him wanting to be close to him, she had a lot of new sensations in her body and the urge to be close to Kestral at all times was a new one. Sometimes she wished it were possible to almost merge with him because skin to skin contact wasn't enough. She wanted their entire being to be together. She didn't quite understand it but it was a pleasant feeling. She looked to Captain and said "Well Kestral and I already planned on traveling the world so we can just search for a a terra wolf along the way right?"
